I'm pretty sure that's on purpose. The reason is that depending on where you Ctrl-click, you're clicking on the game-container which has an onclick-event which opens the game (so you don't have to click a small link to open the game but click anywhere in the container), and you're clicking on an element with an href-attribute (so it's still possible to copy the link of the game etc.).

Kong could replace the onclick event which just changes location.href to window.open, but that would probably trigger popup-blockers.

If you want, I could write a smal Greasemonkey-snippet which removes the onclick, so you can Ctrl-click the games again.

Heroes of Gaia and Dinowaurs suffer from a bug in Linux' Flash player which breaks Socket/ByteArray.writeMultiBytes. I've reported the bug to the devs of Heroes of Gaia and they said they'll look into it next week. Dinowaurs uses Smartfox, which uses ByteArray.writeMultiBytes. And although the bug has been reported to the Smartfox-people ages ago, they didn't fix it/use ByteArray.writeUTFBytes as workaround yet.
Whenever you're not able to play a game on Linux, it's most likely due to writeMultiBytes being broken, so it'd be nice if you'd send a bug report to the game-devs telling them about that issue, since they can't fix bugs they don't know of :P

Deleting your cookies doesn't affect the savegames in any way, since those are shared objects saved in the Macromedia application data-folder. They're just sometimes called "flash cookies" because their purpose is similar to cookies (save user specific data which can be re-used every visit), but they're _not_ actual browser cookies.

Dystrybutor: Lj is probably right that some clean up-tool deleted your savegames (i.e. CCleaner does that, it has an option not to delete the savegames though)

Try adding a simple ?stuff to the end of the url, chat should load then (so it looks like http://www.kongregate.com/games/jmtb02/kongregate-chat?stuff)
If it doesn't help, then unfortunately you have to wait until it's fixed - but the problem is reported and it's being worked on.

Edit: Phoenix says it should be working again now.

Though even that worries me a little &#8211; am I reading it correctly? Could people use snippets from my code without opening up that code in their own game?</p></blockquote>

As far as I know, the MIT/X11 license doesn't say that software using your code has to be made open source, they just have to ship their software with your license-file. But since the MIT/X11 license itself isn't copyrighted, you can distribute your game with a modified version of that license (i.e. explicitly stating that software using your code doesn't have to be open source). You could also use the "3-clause BSD license":http://www.opensource.org/licenses/bsd-license.php, which is more or less what I just described, since it includes a clause about redistribution in binary form.

Sacred Seasons (or to be more specific, every game using SmartFox) can't be played on Linux due to a bug in the implementation of ByteArray.writeMultiBytes.
The bug is known to both, SmartFox and Adobe, but they haven't released a fix yet (though the workaround for SmartFox is really simple: use ByteArray.writeUTFBytes instead of ByteArray.writeMultiBytes(.., "utf-8"))
I don't know which games use SmartFox except Sacred Seasons, but if you find one, please send a bug report to the dev, telling him he should replace

<pre>byteBuff.writeMultiByte(msg, "utf-8")</pre>
with

<pre>byteBuff.writeUTFBytes(msg)</pre> in line 2617 of SmartFoxClient.as, because if more than one person sends such a bug report, they'll hopefully do it :o

There is some other minor bug in the Flash player about key repetitions/keyboard event listeners, which can be worked around by disabling key repeat in the keyboard-settings of your distribution.
