In that case that is correct, I did not want to do a rewrite for the new paginated awards count only, so I asked Andrew (Kong developer) if he could include the count in the JSON profile (a lot faster and safer), and he said yes. @notverygood, the Firefox error console is not only used by my sidebar extension :) Could you perhaps just hit the "Clear" button in the error console, and then reload the sidebar? The sidebar displays caught errors in the console starting with "Kongregate Sidebar Debug Message:". Since I *can* load the sidebar using your username, my best guess is that you have a whisper which contains invalid XHTML... @notverygood, are you still experiencing these problems? I did notice them too last night (local time...), but then Kongregate itself was just loading slow as well for a bit. Now all seems OK over here, also tried your profile. I must say that with currently 840 badges on Kong, the UI might start becoming a bit heavy on some pc's, might need to work on that soon, viewing ALL badges on my average (3 year old) pc takes about 2-4 seconds. If it appears to be looping, could you check your Tools/Error console for Kongregate Sidebar error messages for me? The ticket counter does indeed still only count the 1st page on your profile. The ticket/card count will be in Kongregate's JSON profile in one of the next site updates, it's just too slow/heavy/cumbersome/not worth it to rewrite it now to screen scrape your entire profile page 3+ times... @notverygood, are you still experiencing these problems? I have contacted Kong about it, but I will try to work around it before they answer me most likely. Just joining in the conversation cause I heard someone say Kongregate Sidebar :) The version that is currently published on AMO (1.4.6.5) still uses a LOT of screen scraping and SQLite caching which did indeed take up quite a lump of processing power. The current releases (starting from 1.5) however use a JSON feed and no longer need caching, it should barely take time anymore (except for friends/whispers/shouts a bit perhaps), please let me know if it still does for you. A general note on the sidebar is that it will not do anything at all while you are playing a game on Kong, except for the initial load when you just started Firefox. Ah, the new badges page is just a nice gift for all the stubborn IE users that are not willing to move to Firefox :P No, I must admit that I was quite shocked when I first saw the new layout. But I think that the sidebar does indeed still have enough advantages over the site itself to remain a very useful tool. So as long as it still has about 2000 active daily users, I wont just quit :) ps. The site update also included paginated tickets on your profile pages which unfortunately broke the sidebar's ticket counter. I have already contacted Andrew requesting the counters to be added in the profile JSON feed, otherwise I'll just have to do a little rewrite. Either way, the update will be available asap. @All pre Firefox 3.5 users, I made the mistake of not checking my changes on the previous release of Firefox (3.0.x), and it just happens to be my luck that this time I implmenented Firefox 's JSON interface, which was introduced in 3.5... I'll work on an update for you all this afternoon. @Bobogoobo, I'll add points to the copied stats as well. The ticket's will be just a simple 1 liner in the sidebar's header (similar to cards) and an extra line in the copied stats.
