Key thing to know about me…I’m lazy. XD

That explains the missing limbs. Well, not really missing just…me being lazy about being CONSISTENT with them.

As for the pose, the pose isn’t hard to replicate, actually. If your shoulder is rolled back and your head is looking over your shoulder while your body faces away, it IS doable, yoz. O.o I’m 22 and I can mimic it. shrugs

But sankyuu, for the feedback. I dun really post for feedback. Just to update the people that already know my work and to let them know I’m still alive and not being quite as lazy as I used to be. XD

Pooky, I disagree with you saying anyone with paint or photoshop can make art. I’ve seen some pretty good AND pretty bad things using ANY media, digital or natural. What you said is almost like saying, “Well, anyone can carve a turkey but it takes TRUE talent to use a plain knife as opposed to an electric one” or something ghey like that. You get the idea.

I, personally, use quite a variety of medias when I’m drawing. Traditional and digital alike. A-thank you.

Hawk: Keep at it, yoz. The hand? Yeah, don’t try to draw a hand until you get a better understanding of anatomy because hands can actually be tough for a lot of people. I don’t like drawing hands, myself. Feet, I’m cool with, but hands? No, thanks. And I’ve never used paint.net but it looks like you’re having fun with it? :P

Lol, your MSPaint picture almost (not quite but almost) makes me miss my recent MSPaint days.

Made mahself use MSPaint for a year straight. XP

Your work’s not bad. I enjoy the fact that you try to include a certain amount of detail into work. Namely things like foldings and shadings in clothing. Very spiffy.

Not a fan of the fan art images, however, because I never really saw those as being good examples of one’s talent but to each their own.

Dude, there’s a much better way to offer criticism to someone’s work. Don’t gotta be an ass to an artist. F’reals…

That aside, I think your work has potential. I saw someone mention copying or whatever? Nooooo, no. Never copy or imitate someone’s art even if you’re just practicing. Trying to follow someone else’s style won’t help you to develop your own. What I WILL suggest is yes, use REFERENCES. I think that’s what was trying to be said. You do need to work on anatomy first and foremost and using references to get a rough idea of how a body should look will really help you along. Also, don’t be afraid to look up tutorials people have. There are TONS of tutorials out there and some of them can be very, very handy to take advantage of.

Practice, practice, practice will also help you. Instead of getting a “how to draw” book, I suggest buying an anatomy book. Really good ones break down the structure of the human body and offer a variety of unique poses to take a look at.

Now, are you aiming more toward an anime-ish/cartoony style or realism?
