Compound truncation is here to stay, and was actually the inspiration for the Pillar of Unity. I’ll add the new achievements for symbols sometime soon.

FoamHead is right about the current version for the original being 1.05; you might have to clear your browser’s cache for the new version to be loaded (my loader is a little sketchy).

I didn’t realize you guys had already found the game on my site; the rules should be stabilized for now. I just uploaded it to Kongregate, so you can play it at the following link:

Although it still keeps track of the number of symbols used, I only added achievements for total cycles, as Kongregate doesn’t support showing all 30 achievements in the scores UI. I figure it’s better to have all of one type as opposed to only some of both, but if you disagree you may be able to convince me to change it.

15 more levels, most of which are pretty brutal. If you guys can’t beat them, I might be inclined to think they’re impossible…

allmhuran: I’m a firm believer in creating puzzles independent of their solutions, so until someone beats them, I’m never sure if they’re actually solvable. I can typically go by gut feeling when creating and sorting puzzles, which I then play through and tweak for difficulty. To be honest, some of the tricks you guys have been using in your solutions had never even crossed my mind when I designed and played through the game.

You guys have done a spectacular job solving these puzzles; I found a video on youtube with some of the lowest-symbol solutions (a fair amount by you, ThirdParty) and I was seriously impressed. In light of your awesomeness, I’ve added a fifteenth level! You’ll find it once version 1.03 makes its way across all of the Kongregate servers. In this update I’ve also fixed the random-rotation bug and slightly increased the speed of the simulation. Cheers!
