You’re telling us to abandon a whole genre. Many who “don’t like a genre” just say that because they feel no interesting games have come from that genre in a long time.
Unless something essential to the genre is what they hate about it, playing a game of that genre makes sense, because some games do surprise with the occasional difference in gameplay.
If they don’t like the game, on the other hand, they have every right to rate it low for just that reason. (Though I agree that constructive criticism should occur more often in Kong comments.)
I’m not saying ditch genres that don’t appeal to you. Just take the fact that you don’t like the genre into consideration before you shout it down.
If you don’t like the genre, you don’t like the game, and if you don’t like the game you should rate it 2/5 or 1/5. Roll over your mouse over the 1 and 2 stars, there’s even a little description as “Hated it” and “Didn’t like it”.
But you shouldn’t be playing that in the first place.
I, for one, miss Starfighter a massive load. I’m sure the fuckass hackers have learn’t their lesson and if they haven’t, then don’t put any badges on it.
PLEASE bring it back, I have been looking for a game like it ever since!
The closest I’ve found is Pirate Galaxy which i admit is Awesome for a browser mmo but the graphics are very intense.
I’m saying that people shouldn’t rate rate a game low just because it is not in their taste of gaming (unless it is a game of very poor quality). They should leave the RPGers to the RPGs. The Arcaders to the Arcade.
You probably shouldn’t have been playing that game in the first place if you don’t like the genre.

And BTW, I Seriously need to edit the front page. I think I must of written that in a drunken stupor (if you’[re wondering, no I din’t). Half of it is stupid and makes no sense now that I look upon it.
yes i totally understand.. i once was complaining how its dumb for people to rate a game in a genre bad cause they don’t like the genre… unfortunatly its the way the cookie crumbles and when we post a comment barely anyone rates the game on how hard it would have been to program it… if you prefer newgrounds style of posting go to there but every website is different and at kong we just don’t do that. sorry if your dissapointed
Thankis for your contribution. Everything stated is true and I agree but (trying my very very best not to be a newfag) Newgrounds is a rotting scumhole, the only thing I agree with there is the reviewing policy.
