OK, say i wanted to make a simple game, but not have it inside a web browser, like bring it up on a desktop, is there anything else id need to know other than actionscript and C++?

and also what programs would i need? i know that Flash CS3 is used but is there any free programs?

ActionScript is used for the Flash games here. C++ can also be used to an extent now. Lingo is used for Director games.

Other online games that aren’t Flash use a variety of languages. Non-web oriented games do likewise, with C++ and it’s variations being one of them.

For more details, you’ll have to specify more. However, the programming forum and the Kongregate Labs are better places to look over than here.

I mean what is the point of asking a question if you aren’t going to read the answers?

What’s the point of answering if you’re not going to answer?

thank you!

What kind of coding is used for games like mnb2 and the last winter (for those of you who are familiar with urban prophets stuff) is it just flash or is there more involved?
