Clan Of Peoples and gunners
Who cares? I take it as encouraging to the game’s popularity that people are trying to start them even though there’s no way to… yet.

Lets Talk About the Blazer - Overpowered?

I agree with Waffles. It’s quite easy to kill a Blazer, since they have just average health, no stun, no knockbacks, no quick escapes…no surprises, just the flames. Take your time and you’ll end up figuring out how to counter it proper and easily.
The problem with that is that I learned wrong. I recently came back, but the last time I played was before Blazer was released. I’m not used to having the DoT damage. I hate playing against assassins because of the same reason. Any tips?
You may already know this (sorry if you do), but it might be useful to put here anyways. Against blazers, keep an eye on where your techs are. Tech heals remove burning. Against assassins, stay with a shocker. Shockers remove poison. DoT does half damage against armor than against health, so keep your armor up.

^Probably because your posts were getting spammy. A couple game threads at a time is ok, but when you post a new one ever two days, it crowds out the actual game-related threads.

The blazer is stupidly overpowered
Maybe it’s because I remember the heat ray before its major accuracy and damage nerf, but I don’t really feel like it’s that OP. It may just be because it used to be so much stronger it seems weaker to me now. Instead of nerfing it, what if it didn’t have lockon and instead had a scope so it’s more difficult to use? Or it starts out at lower damage up increases damage as it heats up?

All the classes are free. They rotate everyday.

Yeah double rail gun doesn’t work anymore. It used to be hitting LMB and RMB at the same time would shoot 2 rail shots unscoped.

Shocker’s innervate stuns (the e ability). Not the lightning gun.

I think the aegis tower (the inside part) needs a little more substance than just the tiny floating ring.

^Assassin does more DPS in the first 2 seconds than blazer (blades and catalyze), but blazer has more sustained DPS (which makes since with the whole “assassinate” thing).

^Lol josh wasn’t trolling… Also, like you said, your perspective is that of a scout player. As a gunner player, I don’t really have too much trouble with blazers (unless there are multiples, but that’s true of all classes). And that’s not as a sniper, I’m a close-range gunner. Even as a shocker, I do just fine against blazers if I have a reasonable number of allies. You’re right, blazers do shred through scouts and assassins, just like assassins shred through gunners and shockers shred through techs in 1v1s. But you might use scouts over blazers to travel across larger maps quickly, for example to save allies in a TDM or delay a close CP. I’m not saying blazer is perfect, but don’t give up on the game just because you can’t 1v1 blazers as a scout.
PS Josh meant techs remove burn debuffs faster than they are applied while healing, so techs can counter the fire.
PPS Also, blazer’s e is actually much more useful than you think in your first post. That’s why blazers are hitting you while you’re cloaked or in a haze bomb. It’s a feature.

Skill type: Q
Damage: 0
Cooldown: 40 seconds (lasts for 5 seconds)
Range: All allies on screen within 30 meters
Movement: slight slow down in speed depending on how many noobs lassoed
Effects: Lassos all allies in range and pulls them behind you as you move. Allies can still shoot, use bombs, move side to side, and use jetpack, but cannot move more than 10 meters away from you.
Purpose: Solve this:

(Yes, that is 3 techs healing 3 lvl 1 suppressors and a tank .)
Also solves tanks who stand on side and shoot randomly. Allows you to pull your allies into battle and actually be useful (or at least draw fire away from you).
Agreed. DEFINITELY.
Yes, this is SO annoying!
would be freaking AMAZING! DO IT!
Still want this XD Also, I miss this thread. These were fun.

As much as I enjoy using them, I think shocker’s EMP mine needs tweaking in two ways. 1) A lot of people seem to think it does way too much damage (it can 1-hit a full shocker). It could use a damage nerf or do different damage to different chasis. 2) The EMP mines tend to build up to a huge concentration on a CP, even if there’s only one shocker laying mines, since every time they die and respawn, they can instantly drop 3 mines. I have no idea how to fix this one, as decreasing the time they last would make them useless as mines, but the game becomes tedious when there are mines all over the shuttle that you can’t get rid of.

What an unusually impressive and completely believable coincidence! I’m not sure if I should shun CombatWaffles for suddenly being less impressive or shun all the other players for apparently doing the exact same thing twice! Don’t they ever learn?
I’m just glad to see that speakofsilence regards each game with equal respect.
Well of course! Both games showed great shocker-ability (though compared to bel, waffles is really only subpar at best), so they were indeed good games.

Instead of the tech mine, which IMO is the worst bomb of all the classes, something that would allow me to throw enemies away from my suppressor, my allies, or myself would help.
Tech melee does have knockback >_> I also think that there’s an Imbalance between the tech an socker bombs. The emp mine both does massive damage and stuns, while the frag mine only damages. In terms of the shocker, the innervate stun is fine, but the damage buff makes it unfair when compared to the tech. The only buff the tech got was the addition of little knockback with nano surge.
Sorry XD I really should’ve known that. I even remember reading that somewhere before. Still I don’t think it’s enough of a knockback.

Assassin poison how u work?

one more subtle, little known feature worth mentioning here: the shocker’s lightning gun not only recharges friendly force fields, but removes one stack of nanite toxin per lightning tick (from the shocker as well as his recharged buddies). similarly, the tech’s repair gun not only heals friendlies, but removes the Burning debuff each tick.
this means that when played well in their support roles, the shocker and tech can be something of a counter to the assassin and blazer respectively. of course, the assassin is one of the best classes for sneaking in and using melee to take out an inconvenient enemy aegis device, so the animosity between shocker and assassin is mutual. ;)
I feel that tech falls a bit short of the mark when it comes to countering blazer; while their repair beam might be able to reduce the damage taken, and heal some of it, it’s rare for one, two, or even three techs to be able to save someone that’s taking a flamethrower to the face.
Yeah I agree with you here. As shocker against assassins, I can usually save multiple teammates and myself from the toxins. As tech, however, even with the e ability and mines everywhere, I can’t seem to even stay alive more than a couple of seconds while healing.

look at the health of the aegis device
Aegis drastically reduces incoming bullet damage (you can see the shield is slightly damaged). There was a shocker there, but he had just run inside, behind the wall. I got a headshot on this same device from a different angle about 1 minute earlier.
Try it yourself. I’d bet it’s replicable _
EDIT: This is my 100th post!
Yep, I’ve done it before too. I was confused.

RIP REAL FREEFALL TOURNAMENT
Originally posted by packetninja:
That’s a bunch of crap, firefury. I’m gonna call you and anyone else out: If the game property takes REAL WORLD MONEY, it is not beta. You can call it beta, but once you start accepting currency for services you have an obligation to offer a reliable and useful product.
Real game companies test their new features INTERNALLY —amateurs spam it out there, ready or not, and make the users test it. Enjoy being an unpaid “beta-tester” for FRG.
How do you know they didn’t test internally? It works, doesn’t it? Also, after that internal testing, the only way to test how code is going to react with hundreds of different players and playstyles would be to test it with hundreds of different players and playstyles (ie. literally exactly this.). The alternative to this, where you get to give input to all the new features, would be FRG releasing this game without any player input. The uniqueness of FFT is how interactive FRG is with us.
Also, the money thing is dumb. If you spend money, it’s an investment to make the product better. Just like you might invest in a budding business or in a kickstarter project. Only difference is in this case, you get extra convenience for your donation.

I think the graphics are pretty cool now, but everything needs to do less damage imo. Its just too much now, for some reason. Shocker stun is a bit long, and the noise that indicated shields were gone really helped before. But i like the graphics.
Shocker stun isnt that long he probably just stunned you with his shield then with mine and another mine. You get little time to escape before mine blows as stun lasts bit less time than what it takes for mine to blow up.
Untellable shocker is pretty much same as before except for shield stun, before i did same thing as now, difference is i needed to use myself as bait and jump around inside aegis.
I think Aegis shield HAS been buffed but I haven’t tested it a lot yet. Before, Aegis could be attacked from outside to kill blue bar or inside to kill red bar. Destroying either bar would destroy the Aegis and only the blue could be repaired. Now, I think depleting the blue bar will only cause the force field to disappear, but it can recharge or be healed by shocker and the tower still has to be destroyed by destroying the health bar (like any other unit). However, the shocker still isn’t OP. It has little upward mobility (its jetpack sucks) and it is quite weak. EMPs are the only real hard damage it has.

Kills are still being counted. You can still hear a sound effect when you get a kill. However, FRG said they forgot to include killstreaks in the new update, but they’ll add it next update.
