To be honest, I haven’t a clue… I can only make a mini game, that’s as far as my flash skills stretch.

Games can be anything that can be played in 30 – 60 seconds, has a scoring system. I think a maze game would be good, where you collect the coins… and if you hit the edge you lose 50 points and it ends the game?

You could do it in AS3 and then we could transfer it to AS2?

Thanks Moly, that’s brilliant, but it’s not 400 pixels by 400 pixels… is it in AS2?

I would also say we should have some integration with all the other games. Like having- total score from all games, or something so it can be submitted.
If someone knows how to do that I would be very grateful.

but…
I prefer not to communicate through email. Why not coordinate the project here? This could be the official project collab thread.
At the end of it all we can pick a developer who will put all of the games together?

What exactly are you going for with this? If you are wanting to put lots of ‘small games’ into a single package, each game would have to be incredibly small in terms of development time and effort to be worthwhile for each developer, as they would then have to split revenue between all involved in the single compilation.
If they are to be separate entities, that would be better for each developer considering that even small games sometimes need lots of thought and development effort to be good. If they are to be separate entities, are you planning on marketing them as a group of games made for this purpose?
Otherwise, what is the purpose of your endevour?
I just thought it would be a fun thing to do :D

50 Minigames Collab
Hey guys, I’m looking for 50 Developers (including myself) to create 1 simple mini game each. Any suggestions welcome. Email me at savagehare99@googlemail.com. So, who’s in?
Thanks,
Savagehare99 and Wokey.
RULES
All games must be 450 pixels high by 800 pixels wide.
All games must be made in Action Script 2, or at least must be able to be converted from Action Script 3.
All Games should not have a win or lose basis, but should have a scoring system.
Useful things
Games must use the keyboard; we might make another mode for Mouse games.
Games should be 30 FPS
Games should have a maximum score of 250 points.
Games should take about 30 – 60 seconds to complete.
A prize may be given to the best game (hopefully judged by Wokey).

Rotating a Player
Hi guys, I was hoping you could help me with a problem I’m having in flash Action Script 2.
I want the Player to face the mouse. This is what I have so far:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
var dy:Number = (underscore)root.ymouse–Player.(underscore)y;
var dx:Number = (underscore)root.xmouse–Player.(underscore)x;
var radRot:Number = Math.atan2(dy, dx);
Player.(underscore)rotation = radRot * 180 / Math.PI;
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So far all it comes up with is a syntax error on the top line out of these…?
Also I don’t have a clue where I am meant to put them; onClipEvent or before onClipEvent.
Thanks, Savagehare99
PS. When I put an underscore it turns everything into Italics, sorry!

Well, on enterFrame = function (){ seems to have worked so far. Also, I’m not assigning the code to the actual movie clips, I am assigning it to the frames.
Player_2 and Coin_3 are instance names.

Removing movieclips in AS2 - Help Please!
Hi, I need some help with my new pathetic game. I can’t seem to get the MovieClip “Coin_3” to remove when it is hit by “Player_2”
Here is the code:
if (root.Player2.hitTest(root.Coin3)){
Coin_3.removeMovieClip();
score += 1;
}
Please help!
Thanks,
Savagehare99
