I think i have had those nails in my inventory for a week now. I just never had enough SP to get back up there. New Safe House next to the Subway station between Mercy Hospital and Winchester bar.

Oh, and sorry about the mix up, i guess is did get the revolver from the record store, not the cult leader. That was a weird week.

MOneyshots69, your help is appreciated greatly, i am currently working on the Generator and the Living Room, i have the 2 large shovels already, as well as most of everything else. If you could bring up Blankets, 2×4′s, Wrenches, and wood panels, i would appreciate it.

RRRT, hrmm, i am really not certain who to ask for. If anyone wants to volunteer, i am happy to accept help, but i am reluctant to drag people off of main if they have quests at campus they need to do. If anyone has the items above and they feel like coming up to get a .45 revolver, i am happy to accept their help.

I have started a Safehouse between the Baseball Stadium Militia HQ and the Cult mission bases, at 21,42. I recognize this might seem like jumping the gun, and RRRT77 may feel free to reprimand me for this, however, i have 5 reasons i feel are credible.
1) One of the cults early missions gives a 45 caliber hand gun. Its a 9-12 damage 46 ft weapon, so its better then anything i have seen so far.
2) The Cult is the only location i have seen ammo for sale for this weapon.
3) The Cult HQ allows you to work for a period of time in exchange for cash, a reasonable source of scarce income.
4) There are 23 missions between the Militia HQ and the Cult HQ.
5) Several of the University missions travel into the same region as the Cult HQ. Having a Safehouse in this region precludes people from being “stranded” with limited stamina regeneration.
Personally i am only going to increase the generator to level 1 and then the living room to level 1, I do not ask or expect anyone to divert any resources from the main safehouse until that safehouse is complete. The new SH is intended entirely as a rest area. Whether this safehouse remains or is expanded further is of course entirely at RRRT77 discretion.

okay, people, we need to try keeping one of the storage spaces open. Please finish any necessary upgrades to the generator BEFORE starting any other construction. This really seems common sense to me, if we do not have the generator, we cannot upgrade anything else, and are thus cut off from our storage ad infinum.

OK good news.
1) i have found a spot to build our second base, 21,42. I am waiting there to regen Stam, so reply and i will start construction! No the sub station there does not connect south, but it does connect north.
2) i have also found a spark plug, lemme know what is to be done with it, apparently they are very rare.

4) using our useful link, i propose placing our third base in the region of 45,38 between the two mission bases and next to the subway line.

OK, i hereby propose our safe-house strategy, pending approval by RRRT77. The missions list states all missions and their locations. Thus, i propose that we preplan where we will place Safe-houses relative to these so as to avoid unnecessary safe-houses in the future.
First, Cult and HQ are at 21,40 and 21,45 receptively, so a safehouse between them would be good.
Second, another between Mercy and Winchester might be recommended to avoid alot of walking, so 46,37 or there abouts.
Lastly, two in midtown when we get up there around 45,78 (grindhouse/andrews) and 56,54 (Hawaii/Germain).
All of these are approximates, i have not gotten up there myself to scout actually locations. Obviously, we cannot build safe-houses in parking-lots. What are the views upon this, should we begin scouting locations (at least for Mercy and Cult) so we can build quickly once the main house is done?

Topic: Kongregate / Suggestion - Advanced search

SO KOng has gotten quite large, and while there are certainly alot of games here, it now seems next to impossible to find anything in particular. Right now i am trying to find an old game. It was multiplayer stratagy, where i was on an island with other players, each of us had some troops (who could be combined into a bigger trooper) and our objective was to seize all areas on the island. Can’t for the life of me remember the name, but this is not technicly my point here.

My point is, instead of simply clicking “multiplayer” and then “Stratagy” on a drop down menu, i have to click multiplayer and scroll through several pages trying to figure out which one might be the game i am looking for. Instead of clicking advanced search, selecting the tags “Multiplayer” then “stratagy” and searching the word “Island”, I have to type in “island” and look through dozens of games to find the one i am interested in.

Lets try it a different way. Lets say i want to play a general fantasy top scroll MMO, not one in particular, any one will do. I have to click on either action and go hunting for one marked MMO, or click MMO and try different one till i find a fantasy MMO. While it does encourage people to try different things, not everyone is in the mood to do that every time.

Would it be possible to set up and advanced search engine cross referencing all categories and tags, so i could just search for the type of game i want, instead of looking through dozens of games trying to fine one that i might like to play?

Topic: Call of Gods / Server 4&5&6 (KG-m2) Merged Notice

I would like to speak for some of those on S5 who are not so pleased with this. I am a member of a guild there (Not saying which one, but we had quite a few castles pre-merge). First, the guild leader has pretty much given up on fighting the S4 guilds, and flat out told the guild members to leave if they feel like it. Second, the ONLY GUILDS to bid today where S4 guilds, which pretty much shows the direction this merge is going. S4 stomping everyone. Do you want to know the really annoying thing? Most of our guild members apparently LEFT s4 because they did not want to have to fight with max level players, and now here we are again, fighting EXACTLY the people we changed server NOT TO FIGHT.
In any case, it is apparent that this was a cheap excuse for a handful of s4 guilds to prove how uber they are while killing an otherwise pleasant game. What part of, “If people chose not to fight a battle, forcing them to fight that battle is not helping competition” does CoG not get? I am sick of seeing server owners and players confusing “Competition” with “Rigged Fights”. Chaining a snake in front of a bear is not competition. If the snake wants to run into a hole, good for the snake, the bear can try to follow and get bitten on the snakes terms.

Please let the players know when server 10 is planned, so we have enough lead time to move and build before it is merged with 11 and 12.

Topic: Call of Gods / Econ 101 and L1 books

OK, apparently i once again need to explain economics to MMO developers. The point of a medium of exchange (a currency) is to facilitate trade. If the medium of exchange is exceedingly rare, it becomes more valuable then anything it might be traded for and trade stops. Thus, the medium of exchange needs to be readily available and effectively free (it has not cost associated with it other then the value of the goods it is exchanged for). IE a loaf of bread with a market price of $5 does not cost you $6 because you have to pay $1 for the currency. Yes, you can argue that taxes might be a cost of currency, but they are more a reflective cost of the bread, being as they pay for the roads needed to get the wheat/dough/bread to the respective locations they need to move to. But i digress.

THe use of Gold (IE a form of currency that costs the user money to aquier it) as a medium of exchange in the ingame market is functionally killing said market. We have presently what economists call “Deflation” where the unit of currency is worth more then anything it could be exchanged for (that is, most items are not worth 1 gold piece, and there is no way to sell them for less then 1 gold piece).

My suggestion is to change markets over to silver pieces, they are available in game in very ready supply, are convertible from gold pieces, and are obviously not worth more then most of the items in game.

In addition, can you PLEASE make all level 1 books available in the silver shop, i have had to sell most of the books i have gotten above level 1 because i cannot get the level 1 book necessary to use them.
Yes, i respect that the developers want to make money. I simply contest that how they are currently going about doing that is loosing them money. The market system is scaring away players, and i firmly believe that with more players the loss of gold from the market would more then pay for itself.

OK, it is
1) a side scroll-er with solid graphics, you move from stage to stage laterally and can enter the buildings in the backround
2) zombies, lots of zombies
3) You are trying to get into town, and have several quests you must complete each stage to advance, the first one is to get a gate open.
4) there are alot of equipments available, everything from boards to bats to tire irons, but very few guns and not much ammo. I think i got to stage three without finding a shop, but you do pick up money. There are also a TON of useless items like paper weights and pencils, along with food that heals you a % of HP, things like cereal orange juice, sandwichs, ect.
5) You can find allies, the first i noticed was a store clerk who has lost her glasses. They follow you around and will fall down if they get attacked to much, yelling for help.
5) a skills system and a quasi class system. you select a class like “survivalist” or “doctor” and get a starting skill bonus, in things like “healing”, “Scavanging”, “Stealth”, and “Aim”.

I know this used to be around here somewhere, anyone have any clue what game this is and where it’s at?

Topic: General Gaming / Tired of strategy games that aren't

OK, I have scrolled through about a hundred games in the “Strategy” section, and most seem to involve almost no strategy at all. Zerg rush is not a strategy. Button mashing is not a strategy. Nor is placing blocks or buildings or rooms while my troops are slaughtered. While i am certain some people enjoy fast paced action, it is just that ACTION, and should be in that section.

To the makers of “Modern Tactics” “Fantasy Commander” and the “Battalion” series, i salute you, you have created serious strategy games. The CCG’s are also nice, as are the various TD games. However, a significant number of games have been entered as “Strategy” that simply aren’t.

Elements of a strategy game.
1) Unit movement. If i do not even have control over the movement of units, please do not call that a strategy game.

2) Unit coordination. Either i have the ability to flank my opponents and have that mean something or i do not. I do not see that as being a complex issue.

3) Unit composition. No serious commander would think to send rifle infantry against tanks. The ability to select/construct the unit i need for the job is critical. Equally critical is knowing the capacities of my units, if you are going to make different unit types, make an interface that shows their abilities in a clear and easy to understand manner.

4) time to think. No commander goes into a battle with no idea of the ground he is fighting on or the forces facing him, and expects to win. If you insist upon a real time format (instead of turn by turn) please include a pause function and a pre-battle map and opponent review.

I feel that these are the most basic elements necessary to call something “strategy”. Add to this as you feel necessary. TY, i feel better now.
