ive tried to do that, and idk if im doin it right, but I created an object called myPoints with 2 props, x_ and y_. but then i try to set them as equal to a movieclip( root.bulletChecker.point.x) or w/e it does not change, it is always the same value. neone know whats wrong?

thx guys that just fixed it all up, but one thing, this doesnt have to do with the topic, but is there a way of using the x and y cords of a movie clip inside of another movieclip, but using the root cords, so if im like bullet._x = gun.barrel.x ( the x cord is like 4 because its in the mc ) but i wanna use _root cord, so say if the gun is in the middle of a 300×300 screen the bullet would go to say (300×296). i hope im being clear, lol. ok thx

ok, i know how to fire a bullet from say a tank or sumthing using arctan and the xmouse and ymouse cords, but how can i fire with accuracy using just rotation. I have a game that has a stationary gun that rotates the whole game and i want to be able to fire a bullet out of it when i hit spacebar or so. what math would i need to send the bullet from the barrel toward the position of the gun when i hit spacebar. can neone help me out?? thx

can anyone help me out with a media player im trying to create. You can see what all I have done with it because i have uploaded it. one thing is that it works when i play the swf file on my computer, but when its on kongregate it doesnt play the file. the other ? is that i cant figure out how to use the Directory path of the song file into the script. So that when i select a song with the browse it only imports the song name but not the path that the user gets it from. so at the moment u can only get music from the folder “C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Music/”. can neone help??? thx

Ok, well if neone knows how to program in c++, then i have a simple question. What is the best way to set up a structure in flash that has the say usage as it does in C++? and if u dont program in C++, then im wondering what the best way to create, say a mc that has attributes, like hp, strength, dex, int, charisma, and so on with out getting hella complicated. ok thx

hey, im a pretty new programmer to flash, i also do c++, but i like flash more. well ive created one game that you can see under my profile, but i was wondering more about a Media player that I have made. I created a pretty nice media player that can play, pause, stop, change volume, and has a scroll slider that u can hold down and slide to change song position, so its not too bad. the only prob is that i can only get songs from my hardrive and that is limited by space(over 50mb) and song choice. so can neone show me a tut or explain how i can use xml (not experienced in) to be able to upload songs from a user’s comp and put on the player. ok well if neone can give me ne help thad b great, thx.
