Topic: General Gaming / Ring Pass Not - Walkthrough

What I consider important for completing this badge:
- Time. I really don’t know when i started, but I’d say at LEAST 2 hours before anything comes to stress you.
- Patience. Think. Think a LOT. Remember, it doesn’t pardon mistakes. I fumbled once or twice just half-mindedly setting a tile with some plan in mind and ended up paying a joker for it. Do that a number of times and you’ll pay massively.
- CAUTION: If you still have 4 tiles open (didn’t use “deal”) – then use a “two extra tiles” and press deal again it gives you only two other tiles instead of three. This works a bit weird.
- Base line: Harmonies >> Pools >>> Synergies. Seriously f*** synergies.
- Symbol stuff > Color stuff. This is mostly because 9pools of colors give nothing, but 9pools of symbols give jokers/switches etc. (and in Luna even the 8pool)
- Have a tendency to not overload a color or a symbol with the first few tiles unless you start with like two doubles of it and directly aim for a pool. (You should do this sometimes, especially in Red, Yellow, Luna and Sol as Harmonies give you Blue bombs and Jokers but no Switches.)
- ALWAYS consider the possibility of investing a Joker/Blue Bomb to get a Double Triples Harmony & Quadruple Harmony Combo – ALSO consider the possibility of investing a Joker/Blue Bomb just to get it back. It’s essentially a free Ring and you often get bonus tiles out of the deal.

- Levels 1-12 or so: Rack up boni. Get somewhere to where i was at level 11 – it’s a comfortable safety cushion.
- Levels 13-24 or so: You’re starting to get quite a number of limiters. But the ALWAYS and the ALSO deal will often work still.
- Levels 25-30 or so: Just arrive with sufficient boni and keep your cool.

By the start of level 11 I had: 5 Jokers, 4 Blue Bombs, 1 Switch, 8×4 tiles, 11×3 tiles, 6×2 tiles (77 extra tiles total) plus the two transforms you get at level 11.
By the start of level 16 I had: 7 Jokers, 3 Blue Bombs, 3 Switches, 10×4 tiles, 17×3 tiles, 6×2 tiles (103 extra tiles total), 2x green transform, 1xSol transform, 1xStella transform. It overstepped the fifth lines ready for boni.
By the start of level 21 I had: 7 Jokers, 5 Blue Bombs, 2 Switches, 13×4 tiles, 23×3 tiles, 3×3 tiles (120 extra tiles total), 2x green, 1x red, 2x terra, 1x sol, 1x stella transform. The game fills the first 4 rows and the fifth just fills to the right. It reached the “points total” now.
By the start of level 26 I had: 6 Jokers, 4 Blue Bombs, 1 Red Bomb, 17×4 tiles, 14×3 tiles, 1×2 tiles (112 extra tiles total), 2x greed, 1x red, 2x blue, 3x terra, 1 sol, 1x stella transform. Finally got to waste some tiles. Levels are getting really demanding now with 7 limiters in one ring.
End of level 30 and I still have left: 5 Jokers, 3 Blue Bombs, 1 Red Bomb, 19×4 tiles, 11×3 tiles, 1×2 tiles (111 extra tiles total), 4x green, 2x red, 3x blue, 4x terra, 1x sol, 1x stella transform.

I started out just wanting to make a powerup list for myself for this old gem of a game but i ended up playing through it without much trouble. Since this has become quite a comprehensive post i’m just gonna go ahead and call it a walkthrough now – although there can not essentially be a classic walkthrough for this game as the RNG is too strong : 3

It seems i couldn’t beat it when i first stumbled over it years ago – this time I failed it before making the powerup list at level 29. Now on my second try i’m overflowing with boni after completing level 30.

The probably most important point about succeeding is understanding how to gain Powerups and how to trade them against possibly new ones you’re getting. So i just went ahead and made myself a list. (I tested most combinations, the rest was taken from the old thread: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/3-general-gaming/topics/742-ring-pass-not-earning-powerups?page=1 ) And since i made it anyway – why not share. There goes:

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Runespell Saga] How does the Multiplier work ..

I see absolutely NO system as to exactly upon WHICH event the multiplier increases and when it doesn’t.

The only things I figured out are

→ It (never?) increases when your attack increases your chain to 1,2 or 3.
→ It mostly increases when chaint’s above but only when it feels like
