Just finished watching Mawaru Penguindrum, and… wow. That was a surprisingly dark and resonant masterpiece.

It looks like, 4 days ago, Tamako Love Story was finally released on BD/DVD. Being both a KyoAni fan and a romance fan, I am prepared to watch through all 12 episodes of the mind-numbing moe-hell that is Tamako Market just so I can watch this movie.

Sure, I do like the anime, but I just can’t enjoy it that much and it becomes very boring. Something for example Steins;Gate just did better.

Which ep. are you on? Because if you’re still early on, trust me. It gets better. Much better.

You don’t need to watch the old FSN. The one airing currently is the remake of it. I think ufotable’s doing a different route of it (not entirely sure, haven’t looked much into it), but the consensus is that the old one’s not worth watching. I haven’t seen either version myself, but I’m just waiting for the airing one to finish so I can start watching it.

I’m considering rewatching Fate/Zero before watching FSN since this show has so much content.

Yeah, fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works is the second route of the visual novel, which is why I decided to watch the original. I figured I might as well watch it before Fate/Zero, because the difference in quality between stay night and zero would probably be a little too much. >___>

Wait, did you watch the old F/Stay Night or the one that’s airing right now? Because most people don’t seem to like the older one.

The old one, of course. I’m trying to finish the fate/series (minus the magical girl stuff and the ubw movie) as fast as I can so I can start the new series. Fate/zero is so much better :D

What other shows would you recommend?

Hm. From the shows I’m currently watching (I’m deliberately ignoring a couple, and still have yet to see a couple as well) I have to say that I enjoyed the first episodes of Gugure! Kokkuri-san, Magic Kaito 1412, Grisaia no Kajitsu, Akatsuki no Yona, and Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji the best (in that order).

Watching so many different shows at once for the first time gives makes me almost uncomfortable. >___>

EDIT: Kiseijuu is reallllly good.

It’s syndicated television in Japan, but it’s pretty risque.

Also, it’s been really scary for me to watch this, because lately I’ve become a recluse and have been feeling like an Otaku.

It’s just me and you who know what the NHK channel is.

I was a little disappointed in the last episode, but was impressed with the overall theme of the series. It starts out as just a lot of fan service, but quickly begins to address many of the social issues surrounding internet culture and reclusivity.

What fan service are you talking about?

What a surprise! I just finished NHK!
I hope we’re talking about the same show.
I don’t know about the fan service, but the second half of the show is much better than the first IMO. Although the ending left me lethargic and unwilling to do anything ever.
Thoughts on the fall lineup so far? I’m watching most of the shows (except for the ones with pretty bad first episodes) and have to say I think this is a decent lineup. Gugure! Kokkuri-san seems great so far.

Just watched all of Steins;Gate, and I have to admit, it’s hands-down the best anime series I’ve ever watched. Not my favorite (that still goes to TWGOK and Kill la Kill), but definitely the best.

Same here. The only thing that would make it better would be if I didn’t have terrible friends that spoil everything ever for me. ._.

Man, the Mayo Chiki ending was a serious kind of buildup for a second season that never came. :||||
Well, there’s still the manga I guess.

The best girl contest is undergoing its finale. So many best girls have fallen, some were tough to beat, others were easy. But this final one is the toughest of all of them. Every time I voted I always chose these 2….every time I thought what would happen if they went to the final round and it happened.

Holo the Wise Wolf vs…. KURIIIIIIIISTINA

The competition can be found here you can view it without voting.

Oh nooooooo D:
RIP Inaba and Senjougahara. But go Holo!

Wooo! I have finally watched my 1000th episode, 74 days after beginning anime. I suppose I’ll celebrate with more anime.

Tokyo Ghoul sounds intriguing- even though I dislike horror, I might give it a go.

>> Akame ga Kill is the most bizarre blend of humor and straight-up gore I’ve ever seen.
>> Now that the fall summer (EDIT: Sorry, I stuttered) season is almost over, I suppose I should finish all of the series I’ve started. I might finally finish Lucky Star. >:|

Now, time to watch the extremely regrettable Oreimo 2 OVAs.

Buuuuuump.
Just wanted to voice my opinion of the oO badges. They all seemed fairly quick- the impossible badge especially, which took me relatively little practice, although that may just be because I found the one game on Kongregate that I’m good at.

Akame ga Kill is awesome, hands down.

Watched the most recent episode a few hours ago, and I agree. I wish Tokyo Ghoul was also 24 episodes because I love em both but Akame ga Kill is great where it has a powerful protagonist…but doesn’t have that plot armor crap where he gets stronger because he’s “determined.” Awesome story, dark at times with it trying to be funny too, I like the combo.

When one strong boy meets…stronger people.

Ooh! I’ve been told to watch that. Because Esdeath.
Just finished ef – a tale of memories. I have to say, I think it’s some of Shaft’s best work to date.

See, sd? Indy-san here is a prime example of somebody who has no life.exe!
Stay protected, wear a condom sd.

Some random thoughts from all over:
-Man, I can’t believe they didn’t make a third season of Spice and Wolf. I’m. So. Disappointed. Oh well. I might start reading light novels and manga, if only for my serious need for closure.
-Inaban from Kokoro Connect. Love her.
-Started Monogatari Series: Season 2. While I didn’t enjoy Nisemonogatari and Nekomonogatari: Kuro as much as the first season, I still thought it was a well-made continuation of the series.
-I am trying to watch too many anime series at one time.

Began watching Bakemonogatori. I’m enjoying it so far. The characters are interesting, and the animation is almost like a work of art. RNG chose Bakemonogatori in favor of Say “I Love You”, so looks like I’ll be finishing it tonight.

Monogatari Series

I’ve been thinking about watching this, and the reviews I’ve been getting from other people seem really polarized. I heard it’s a really good romance series though? I guess I’ll watch it after Gosick.

Also, the MAL thing is mildly amusing. :|

Finished watching Mirai Nikki + the epilogue OVA. I really, really enjoyed it for some reason- maybe the fact that it was so over-the-top really covered up some of its flaws?

Yuki x Yuno one of my favorite relationships.

Watched the premiere episode of Lucky☆Star. I… just… wow. Cornets.
Seems like a decent show to watch between anime.
After I finish Karin/Chibi Vampire (which was surprisingly enjoyable despite what I thought was a silly premise on paper), I’m thinking of watching Mirai Nikki. Not used to any of the dark, violent stuff, but I thought I’d give it a go because insane Yuki/Yuno relationship. Thoughts?

EDIT: School is also starting, which means I can no longer keep up the insane anime watching I’ve held for the past 45 days. Life is terrible. :(
