You need to put more points unto the base skill (bite, spear, claw) until a grey puzzle-piece slot shows up, then you can add the piece. Also, for adding vertically, that can happen at any level of the trait so long as the are compatible.

Ok so I have been using this deck for quite a while, but I often lose to mono-aether decks and discord. How can I counter this. I would eventually like to get it upped and be able to fight FGs, but for now I use it for ai3.
Any help is appreciated.
