Lets get real.
Originally posted by Tumalu:
I think the only way to get real is to understand what’s going on. This game is no longer what it used to be. As the developer said, the game is not making as much revenue as it used to – it has become a lower priority compared to the other games. Therefore, you need to lower your standards and expect nothing new to be released.
You cannot rely on the developer to prevent this game from dying – which means you can only rely on yourself. The community isn’t exactly helping either. All of the negativity floating around isn’t exactly helping people stay. The community needs to reach out to new players and give them a reason to keep playing.
Well said. Expecting it to get the same amount of developer attention as a newer game (read: better source of revenue) is unrealistic. As you noted, the developer has made it clear that it’s no longer a top priority, which, frankly, is understandable. That’s how the gaming world usually operates.
Re: negativity — this forum, in particular, has devolved into people desperate for attention and/or people incessantly rehashing the same “the game is dying” routine that we’ve been hearing for about two years now. If it’s so bad, find something else to play.

Thats probably because of a slow comp/ not enough cache given to browser/OS.
I have plenty of computer and plenty of cache and Chrome is noticeably faster with DW than FF is. On slower computers, the difference is even more significant.
Considering the variability of computers, blanket statements are rarely accurate.

Sorry for the delay and late reply. We started the bonus a little later than usual this weekend, but it should have been started already few hours ago. We will probably keep the bonus up for few hours past the even end as well to make up for the difference.
Thanks.

The whining has been constant, pretty much since day one. I’ve never seen people whine so much about a game.

It’s a custom search for the Kong forums. Use Dream World in your search to narrow it down.

Gem Spending guide
Complaining that people aren’t playing for max damage while demanding that everyone focus on Shield before Weaken (which, of course, increases damage) is pretty funny.

Freedom of speech, ever heard of it?
Freedom of speech relates to government suppression or interference. I don’t see a government trying to influence your speech here.

Well, it would help if you were smart enough to write coherent thoughts instead of this stream-of-consciousness nonsense that you incessantly spew.

FW S2 - 298-297
Originally posted by omark96:

And since I don’t know how much FW power each side has, I can’t tell you if it had been the same outcome or not.
Faction power was 85570/76840 for 298(Alcon)/297(Mu), respectively, so Mu would have won a tie-break.

Is the game on It's last leg?
Originally posted by AlbertoV05:
Let me put it another way. DW used to be a can of soup. Now it’s a soup can with flies in it. The contents of the can that is enjoyable (the soup)… is long gone. An empty can takes many years to rot away. So…if you still call a soup can a “can of soup”…then I can see your difficulty in understanding my previous post.

doesnt really answer my question. Nice deflection though
It’s the same clickfest it’s always been. Gameplay hasn’t changed much at all, so if your idea of “enjoyable” is spending thousands of dollars to be competitive – and that’s your only definition, it would seem – you should probably get out more.

Half your guild is 90+, you could probably do 1t now if you wanted to focus on it and people were actually playing. Not much reason to, however.

Is the game on It's last leg?
This forum is in no way indicative of the activity level within the game. If you want to see how many people are still playing, review the invasion rolls each week or look at the offensive fame or faction war activity of the top 20+ guilds.
The playing level may certainly be down – a normal occurrence in a nearly three-year-old game, all other considerations aside – but it’s certainly not as dead as some people in this forum would like everyone to believe.
But then, they’re like politicians. Their rhetoric and reality are unacquainted with one another.

I’m still here, so your statement is invalid.
So, your hyperbole is fine, but Aval’s isn’t?
I think you meant hypocrisy. I can understand the confusion.

All of them left? Every single one?
Don’t look now, but you just did what you’ve been complaining incessantly at Avalokitesvara about – stating an absolute that isn’t accurate.
Not everyone who spent money on this game left. Not even remotely close.

Crystal poisoning. Takes two years to kill you, I guess.

maybe that’s where we separate. When I go to work, hang out with friends they are all hard working. I dont actually know anyone who wasnt willing and happy to work for what they have, and most ppl I see go well above and beyond their current station. I’ve never met someone actually lazy
That’s because most people aren’t lazy. The “everyone is lazy” generalization is nonsense, usually propagated by companies who want an excuse to continue to screw their employees or push an agenda or by people covering up their own inadequacies, often self-esteem issues. It’s easy to be smug if you think everyone else is lazy.
It’s also pushed by politicians and media talking heads who wouldn’t know hard work if it hit them with a shovel.
