Topic: Rise of Mythos / Suggestions

This is an attempt to start a large scale suggestion thread for this game. Please post suggestions here if you have them.

My Suggestions:

1) The random crits and blocks cause extreme variance in the game and I can’t see a reason for them (personally I feel bad whenever a lucky crit turns the game in my favour and I suspect I’d get frustrated if the reverse happened (I can’t remember it doing so)). I’d argue that they should be removed as a general occurence and possibly that some cards be created with a crit chance in their mechanics. If not that then the crits should be reduced to 150% damage rather than 200%.

2) The interfaces where one looks through one’s collection would be better if they just showed card names and ranks (or possibly a summary) and you could hover over to see the actual card. Showing all the cards fully takes a lot of room and thus makes deck editing awkward, also a sort order (beyond the filters) would help.

3)In the fuse menu it would be nice to be able to see how many surplus crafting materials you have in where it shows the X/X instead of making you check your character page to make sure you’re not spending all your mateials.

Topic: Rise of Mythos / -devs- sudden death starts too soon

I agree with catepillar, I just actually lost a match after burning through my opponents entire deck (this highly displeased me). The problem is that there are actually quite a few ways where the game cannot progress any further (sometimes in the absence of crits, sometimes regardless) but creatures still remain that can attack (for instance the only remaining creatures both have armour that the other cannot hit through).

Edit: In relation to my afforementioned loss I’m pretty sure that the tips for illusory and belladonna harbours are the wrong way around.

Topic: Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM / Suggestions

A better system for deck editing and card management, alphabetacal order is almost as bad as not sorting the cards at all and the specific filters are often useless for looking for specific cards. An option to order cards based on power, type or level would be a huge imporvement.

Along these lines it would be nice to be able to select which cards we keep from a pack and just sell back the rest (as that’s what I, and I suspect most others, do with the bulk of the cards anyway).

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Bortha Bugged

Rune-Mistress Bortha is triggering when I banish potions, not just when they trigger as written. Also, on one occasion (that I’ve noticed), I’ve had two copies of Bortha in hand and depleted a potion and only one copy has been banished. Not that I’m complaining, but both of these are bugs (unless the later is a deliberate change in which case I’ve also had it happen the other way). Both of these occured when I was fighting cursed mummies in zone 10.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Kasan Coin from Diamond Pack

Any pack can give a (maybe more than one, I’m not sure) Kasan coin as a bonus. If you open enough then you will eventually get the 5 nesscessary to get an extra coin a week early. It’s very little I admit, but let’s be honest, it’s probably of more use to you than most rares you get from the diamond packs.

While trying to get into a mega brawl, I suddenly got a “lost connection to server” message. When I refreshed the page I’d lost almost 2000 energy. If you can restore it I’d very much appreciate it.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Legacy of Heroes] Suggestions

Carry class badges across classes (so have primary class badge, secondary class badge, tertiary class badge and quarterary (or whatever) class badge as options to level up instead of a separate one for each class). I can’t see any reason for this to be particularly difficult to implement and it would mean that those players who pick a class and then realise that they don’t like it aren’t so put off switching classes that they quit the game instead. Also the rest of us get to more easily try different deck dynamics, which makes the game more enjoyable for us once we’ve got a high power deck in one class.

So I was using my cycle deck against Hacan’s war wizard (I shall never do this again) and they managed to rapidly build up over 5000 mcs and played Elyssa. I didn’t have time to fully read the damage it did but it was 3**7. Do you think it more likely that this was a glitch or that the game has a damage cap coded in?

Edit: it’s also possible that the damage number was cropped.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Spirit Ward vs Sympathetic Slaughter

In terms of cards like SS, which aren’t obtained from packs, rarity (in the sense of common, uncommon etc as opposed to how rare something actually is) is kind of meaningless. The devs just assigned rarities to cards based on their sense of their power (hence chenhsi’s comment) but it was, to an extent, arbitrary. Thus being legendary isn’t really enough reason to power up SS (you could argue that they should lower its rarity but…)

Definitely not, I can recall many games where I have taken no direct damage but when dido has been depleted from an acid flask (which depletes my entire deck) and I haven’t died.

Which suggests the Devs (or Kalevera at least) might be unaware of this, which would be just bizzare because Dido’s use in this way is well known.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / The Tavern (factbook)

This seems like a good attempt to run brawls independently of the clan system but you might want to elabourate on the mechanics before you actually start it up.

The biggest problem I can see: For every session run in this way you’ll need a prior member of the ‘clan’ to allow people in and promote whoever plans on starting the brawls to officer status (unless there’s been some kind of update to the system that I’ve missed). If (virtually) everyone quits after one session then this’ll create a lot of pressure on you and anyone else who remains to facilitate this.

It’s neither, when inputting 25 silver arrows into the nexus you’re as likely to get a silver arrow as any other rare (more than some). I would call this, instead, an amusing coincidence.

Actually I think that does work. Harl’s triggers at the end of every depletion chain rather than every turn so when eldritch salvation is depleted Harl’s triggers before the potion’s effect and gives MC to be removed (not certain of this but I think I’ve seen it happen). Regardless actually triggering it every time it should trigger would lengthen things sufficiently that the inconvenience caused by it would vastly outweigh the inconvenience of not having MC when you should (this coming from someone who uses 2 Harl’s in both of his main decks). They might be able to do what thrash and I have suggested of not doing it as written but tracking depleted magic cards so it can grant mc for them even if the talisman is completed but they won’t (or at least really shouldn’t) make it trigger as it is actually written.

Triggering Harl’s after every deplete as written would make depletion chains much longer (in terms of time taken), to an extent that would be unnacceptable to most players. But yes it would be nice if they could track the number of magic cards depleted prior to the depletion of the talisman and generate MC based on that.

Change the level restriction on brawls to not use player level (you might’ve already done this without my notice), as a high level player I’m stuck between not getting anyone for my mid-level brawls or opening it to level 36’s or whatever. Also It’d be nice to see the levels of players that can join a level restricted brawl.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Divine Protection Bug (Draft 87265)

My opponent played Divine Protection and it gave them a buff of 1 absorb in addition to the +1 absorb from elixer of warding (I had nothing giving me absorb at the time).
Unrelated to the bug this battle also suggested to me that there needs to be a terminology change with respect to the dual occurences of weapon/magic/absorbtion (I.e. Weapon
Strength+Agility=Weapon) given that cards refer to both instances (Terraclean Throw and Divine Protection referring to separate instances of absorbtion for instance).

Edit: I have no idea what is causing the underlining here.
