Topic: The Perfect Tower / Bug report

I recently reset the game (I had cheated, wanted to start fresh). However, I still have my x3.4 research speed. It saves some time, but it probably should be cleared if you reset.

Topic: Tiny Dice Dungeon / Please make the game faster

On occasion, the game will start to go slower – animations move slower, AI roll dice slower, etc, everything is just “slightly slower”.

Why does this happen? If I check CPU usage, unity is maxing it out. There are almost no animations in the first place, and the ones that there are, are simplistic – the game should not be running slow, regardless of the computer quality (my laptop should be mid/low tier nowadays imo, 4GB ram, 2.5ghz x2 cores, Intel HD 3000 graphics card).

Moreover… I think even the usual speed of gameplay is too slow. Waiting for coins to be collected, waiting for animations to happen, waiting for your own dice to reset and let you roll again, players probably spend 20%+ of their time already prepared for their next action, and just waiting to be allowed to do it. I’m not saying that those things I listed should not have wait times – but the current amount is too much.

Ex: Your char’s animations currently go:
- choose to commit an attack
- zoom in on your attacking char
- bullet shoots, goes offscreen
- zoom out
- bullet hits or has already hit
- chunks fly out of monster
- next chars turn

I think a lot of those actions, while currently non-overlapping, should be overlapping or removed. i.e., No zoom in on your character + delay times before shooting. When you say “attack”, the animation should begin almost immediately. And, say, the chunks could be flying out of a monster at the same time it moves the focus to the next char to prep an attack.

Topic: Tiny Dice Dungeon / Suggestion: Game stats

Several things are unlocked by catching a certain number of monsters, killing a certain number of monsters, etc. But I have no idea how close I am to those goals if I can’t see the numbers.

For example – unlocking the ninja at 2000 monsters defeating. How close am I? I dunno.

But I want to know.

I know these things are already tracked, so the only bit of work is making a menu and hooking it together, really.

It also doesn’t make sense (what can explode, if there is no fuel?), and instead it should forcibly consume crystals.

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / TO KABAM

If you try to be a lawyer when you are not a lawyer, you’re going to make big mistakes.

I’d say they definitely could do some kind of rollback… but there is almost no way the hacker didn’t have access to those too, and if he were trying to screw Kabam around, he’d definitely have corrupted them.

And just letting you know… "And whenever you lose money to a faulty product, you get reimbursed. " Yep, definitely false.

Moreover, I’m certain that Kabam makes no guarantees that you’d even be able to access your account whenever you want. At best, if you want to investigate this more, you should look a lot more into the documents that you just click ‘agree’ to when you are purchasing things [from Kabam].

Topic: General Gaming / [GemCraft Labyrinth] Strategy for Field C11?

Heh, yeah, I just did that one recently. It was kinda fun doing it with 4x monsters, swarm only. I just built a lot of weak lime towers (probably got up to about 15 of them, with G3 gems), and poison traps (again, had a bunch, only had G2 for awhile). I lasted till about 10K swarm kills.

It’s on the last page of the FAQ thread.

Try using limes. Also make sure to summon properly. I’m pretty sure I killed way more than 7000 on G10 with this strategy, got to wave 139, and I assume the strategy would work on C11.

Don’t forget to use amplifiers.

Also, I did this at lvl48 ish.

Not dying gets you a lot of fame.

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / Orxy notes

I’ve seen lvl 4 characters get soulbound drops at oryx, with picture evidence. It’s not necessarily a lie, what he’s saying.

And the amount of damage you do, once you reach the threshold, is irrelevant, I think. A few builds ago there used to be ~3 thresholds, at 1.5, 3, 4.5% damage, but that might’ve changed, and now the people who looked through the code to find this information, it is now hidden.

Anyway, once you reach the maximum threshold, doing more damage simply means that other people have less of a chance of reaching the thresholds.

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / can other people pick up the "purple and blue" items u see?

There are 2 blue colored bags. The sky blue one tends to have high level equipment. Dark blue indicates there is at least one stat pot inside, possibly other things.

No, gold is bound to your account, not your character

The game itself warns you that linking with another account causes you to lose all your account data. Don’t try to blame anyone.

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / How do i sell stuff

The gold is only obtainable by donation. Items you can buy with gold, however, should not have a significant effect on your gameplay. By that I mean that there are no real advantages to buying gold and spending it, it is there because there are aesthetic decorations that people might want, and it shows that the player has donated to the game.

And just to clarify, the developers need some source of income. Running servers isn’t cheap. Neither is renting out servers from places like Amazon or Google.

What I don’t understand is why people will blow hundreds of dollars on console games, but then get all stingy for games like this.

The fame seems to be correct as far as I can tell, but the way it works is that if someone buys an item, it goes “on sale” for a few minutes, and it becomes 5% off. If more people buy, then it increases the discount.

As of now, I don’t know of a way to link your kong account to the main website account without destroying the data on your kong account.

There has been a mildly extended discussion about such things on the game’s main forums, but the more people who want it, the better the chance it has of getting implemented, I say.

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / Anyone know why I keep getting "Account is already in use."

Account is already in use can be caused by a few things:

1. The most likely occurence. The game is lagging a bit behind the scenes, and it hasn’t registered that you’ve left one area yet, so it doesn’t want you to appear in two places at once.

2. You’ve logged in on one place, and are trying to log in on the same account elsewhere.

3. Someone else is logged into your account (least likely, if you’re careful)

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / How do you rank up and get fame points

Merely getting to level 13 is worth only a very little amount of fame. See here on where this question was previously asked.

You rank up by completing class quests, which is simply to get a certain amount of fame on one character before dying, or by dying, since there are fame bonuses you can earn upon death. The ranks are like this: rank 1 = 20 fame, rank 2 = 150 fame, rank 3 = 400 fame, rank 4 = 800 fame, rank 5 = 2000 fame.

Flag Post

Topic: Realm of the Mad God / Fame: How and When

Fame comes in two parts, the base fame, and the bonuses which you earn upon death.

Base fame largely depends on the total amount of experience you’ve accumulated, though there are other factors as well.

You can check out this website to see exactly what the bonuses are, and how much they affect your total fame.

Topic: Swords & Potions / Anybody looking for a guild? All accepted!

The guild free is directly related to how many people are in the guild. More people —> Higher fee.

Also, if this guild still exists, I’d like an invitation.

Sorry that you’re unresourceful.

To trade points, you need to be in a guild. Hence why 99% of the threads are about joining a guild.

Topic: Swords & Potions / There should be a skill called...

I’m fairly certain that the customers who just come in, look at something, then leave are not there to tease you. It would be a waste to code something which has absolutely no effect on the game.

Besides – I think market affinity increases the initial offerings for items, and combined with a silver tongue, it doesn’t really matter too much what they initial say they want.

Also, just to let people know who haven’t yet noticed it themselves… you are more likely to successfully suggest an item if you suggest something related to what they say they want.
Ex: Bard wants a double flute.
I offer a harmonious flute. (High chance of success 70-90%).
I offer a different instrument (Medium chance of success.40-60%)
I offer something else that a bard could use (low chance 20-30%).
I offer something a bard can’t use (No chance of success 0%).

/end mild offerings of help

Topic: Swords & Potions / Change Wait time

Another reason is that their servers probably can’t handle people playing all the time. There already are small delays as it is, and without the waiting times there would probably be a lot more people playing simultaneously.
