Topic: Epic War Saga / Tactics for Noobs

actually, i have completed the 2 first chapter with a single tactic, using popo the epic dwarf hero (since he was unlocked from the start).

I just rush my hero from the very second while gathering mana, then spam hobbit. My hero is usually close to enemy boss when i release mana, and at that time, i can throw almost 3 stack of hobbit consecutivly.
My hero tank most of enemies units’ ranged attack, and their hero die in usually less than 10 second after my hobbit pull reach him.

So i can end a battle every 30 seconds.

I am lvl 15 and not completed yet the first chapter 3 mission, and have gathered so far 3 staff of holy empire, 1 light saber (achievement reward), 1 caleastial bow, and 1 guide book (achievement reward). So i am kinda full attack and may change soon. As improved enemy units’ ranged attack goes throught my hero and turn my hobbits to limbs :( .

I am against.

The quest is mean to be accomplished. The mecanic should not accomplish it for you. The orb drop rate if the same for everybody.

Some guy dont loot orb because they are unlucky, even killing hundred of demons a day. Some other don’t loot them just because they play 10 minutes a day. Everybody have his own problems. And it is what make everybody not unable to do everything in the life.

This is not because there is something possible to accomplish that it automatically need to be accomplished by everybody.

Me i don’t find it is a bad thing. It don’t killed gate. People are just sacrifying there yet uber low chance to get orb gate stuff.

There will be the players who will want to lvl up. Other will be
And there will be the players which will want to stuff themlselve.

But i am ok that those different gamestyle need to be more explored, extended and featured. But lets see the next update.

I don’t introduce a second hypotetical kind of person, i just judge people about for what they did what they do, and not about there direct act. This is like that that i come to the conculision there is several kind of gem buyer, with different motivation, while of course they are all gem buyers.

After maybe even at lvl 1, the amount of coins given is ridiculous compared to what a gate opening could have rewarderd you. But your are not lvl 51 when you are lvl 1 (xD). When you just start the game and when you have not yet coins, but a good mastercard, bha buying coins with gem allow you to gain some time, helping buying uber stuff since the start and pwning everybody in arena (except LP buyers :P ) and then lvl up fast without any need to wait for energry regen untill around lvl 20 or maybe more.

So the coins purchache give not only coins, but also save time. And this time gain is hard to evaluate, it depend from people to people.
This just help the player, while it is not necesary at all. So in some way i think that we can’t tell that something to expensive while it is not a must have. It just help, if you can aford, yepee you goes easily, if you can’t afford, you just go without. A little like in real life.

This way yes. But after, it could make too much probability to get orb gy gate if you have 6 chances to get one, and some guild could abuse the system by letting a player doing 99,99% of damage to get maximum chance.

I think the just give chance to get reward about the fact you are the max hitter or gate owner are more balanced, while it don’t make too much probabilty per gate.

Coins gem buyer and gate gem buyer are not the same people. And the first post of this topic is a comparison about the 2 gem purchase.

People which start the game buy gem to ger coins and build there char easily.
Other people that are 51+, buy gem for openning gate.

The use of those both gem purchase don’t concern the same people. Both have a use, but in different situation, so make a that VS that is stupid.

It is not because it is stupid to buy gem for coins on middle-hight lvl, that it is stupid at all. There is a time gain factor that it seem you don’t take in count about using gem for coins on first lvl.

WHen there is a gem purchase that is just practical in some case and don’t really unbalance the game, you cry because it is useless and it waste the space on your screen.
And when it totaly destroy the balance between player, you cry because people who pay pwn you in 2 hit.

But after all, this is just my point of view. Which i just give there for let people think about

I just followed the same logic. Orb should not be considered a reward like another.

It is not because there is a new kind iof gate that everybody MUST be stuffed with new stuff. It is more like a bonus: “ah great guys, today i have get an orb, we will play fortune wheel”.

About looters, i have an idea.
Why not a system where instead of picking-up items, we pre-command them. So they stay in vault, but become highlighted.
When a player slide his cursor by them, a message “X have precommand this item” appear under item’s other stats.

The guild leader would have an option to validate transfer or denny it.
The pre-commandation would only remain 24 hours, if the guild leader don’t accept or denny untill this time, the pre-commandation is automatically cancel.
If the asking player leave the guild, the pre-commandation is automatically cancelled.

There is nothing wrong, new players can’t do gate, and they don’t all join guild.
The gate gem spending and the coins gem spending are not dedicated for the same public. The stupid thing is to compare the use of them both.

Maybe the town leader could remain free to fight. And then reward us with big xp/coins, special item like enchancement pot or orbes, or learning points, or increase Constitution.
The rate of getting goods reward should depend of our stats.
I mean, lower are the challenger’ stats, bigger are the chance to get a good reward.

Different elemental gates need different interest, like possibility to have some special ability on items, by exemple:
>electrick stun shock on thunder stuff, which stun for few turns
>frosting on ice stuff, which slow then lower block and aim and agility stat for few rounds
>buring over time on fire stuff, which damage over turn, not necesarly high damage, but oblige to spend sp on heal, last very long time, except if target dive in a well :P

high lvl need new quests

change the latter rewards. We don’t care anymore about lvl 50 stuff or coins and xp.
There could be some chance to get some learning points by defeating lvl 60 guardian of dream (and next ones) by exemple.
Probability to get some random learnign points amount by listening the wiseman.
Probability to find some apprentrice books or pills wich could provide some random amount of learning points.

Defeating girl in red could increase agility stat by 1 with low chance.
Defeating wiseman> intelligence Defeating gambler> quickness
Defeating little imp==> strenght

why the hell the sentence is striped

Enhance potion should enhance green stats of item on 4th upgrade (the one which should have 25% succes rate). Or maybe the 5th one.
By exemple, it could provide +5 of the yet enhanced stat, or add 5% to special bonus, or increase regeneration stats aura by 25% of base regeneration (2*lvl)

Greater demons should be able to loot greater enchancement potions at a quite low drop rate (but not too ridiculous since greater gate are hard to acces and potion succes rate would be low enought), which should only increase bonus stats of item:
basic stats +5 per potion
speical stats +5% per potion
The succes rate should start very low at first pot (10% succes rate), then lowered 5 – 2 – 1 – 0.5?

need new pvp system turn per turn where each player is connected, where damage are much less reduced.

Or even, guild versus guild. where on each turn, you could select the target you want.

Need new skills, like debuff which could reduce block, damage, defence, disable regen, reduce aim, decrease skill points amount, for some turns.

Demon stuff which give stat, should have a max bonus of +9 instead of +3
Demon stuff which provide special bonus, should enhance them by 25% instead of 20%

Greater demon stuff which give stat, should have a max bonus of +19.
Greater demon stuff which provide special bonus, should enhance them by 30%.

Regeneration stats on armor should also benefit from enhancements.
Demon stuff could be +100% of base regen (which result in 4*lvl)
Greater Demon stuff could be +200% of base regen (which result in 6*lvl)

Puzzle reward should depend on how much try you used to succefuly made it. By exemple:
-The “number” one: 1 error = 80% of actual reward_____0 error = 130% of actual reward
-the “color” one:
0 error=225%___1 err=175%___2 err=135%___3 err=100% (base value)___4 err=75%___5 err=40%

The chance of get item could also increase with lower fail you did, or even chance to get “gold/xp + item” when 0 error.

Maybe the possibility to trade demon keys with other players for gem (and only gems) and to merchant too.

Merchants would buy them for 3 gems, but it would be up to the player to define there own price during the trade.

The max selling price would not exceed 5, so it would prevent guys to plan a uber gem transition between player. But untill the seller have many key, it would be his right to get many gems for them.
The seller have to do a choice: open a gate with it (wich is equivalent to 6 gems); or sell them for the chance to buy premium items or buy learning pts.
It would be too easy to give the seller the ability to open the gate even after he sold his key. He must choose between having good stuff and exp right know, or increase his char for firther interest.

This could be an alternative for those who don’t have gems.
Guys who have gem are happy to buy key to other players because them spend a little less gem per door opening.
Guys who havn’t are happy, they still can’t open a gate, but they have the oportunity to get premium item or to increase there stats, with time and luck.

Cause i made many mistake at the beginning, like spend learning pts for stats that can be up with pills

(mainly that in fact, but that screw me a lot, since i am lvl 51, and can’t even select a dual class. my skills are:

I have 77 energy, and i am lvl 51 from some days now, spending them all 3 – 4 times a day.

The gape between lvl 50 (15% – 20% every 77 energy spend) and lvl 51 (6% 9 % for the same amount of energy) is maybe too much.
On lvl 50, i was meeting many beggard, guardian, quest npc, and well. I meet them almost never for my 60% of lvl 51 in lakeview.
And i don’t meet one imp or girl in red at all in those 60 %.
I meet only 2 guardians (which i can beat in melee when a single purple frog lvl 51 can own my 9000 hp in 6 round _ if i don’t use heal spell from mage skill).
No more than 5 beggars
And maybe a little more wishing well.

So you even grind more, for even less reward.
If i buy a stamina pills every 10 , i can be very happy. While on lvl 50, i could easily buy one for a little less than every 10 exp gained, and the increasing cost was not a problem.
They costed 40 million at lvl 50. And now, for just 10 more million, it is so long to get them.

I don’t understand, like if the dev wanted to slow the difference between players lvl, when logicaly in my point of view, the more we lvl p, the more we should be different from previous lvl.


Of course i could choose to join a guild for ge more exp, but it wouldn’t have changed a lot, since 15 % of 60 is 9, i would only be 69 % or almost in the same amount of time spent in this lvl.


Another solution could be to cancel the buy of stamina pills. And let the classes balance themselves. So we could have tanker knight, and weak but strong mage, instead of having the more tank the more coin you get.
