Pssh I didnt see this post until now… Well if there happens to be more subbing needed, Im availible probably.

If sookusus decides he wants to face someone in round one, you can sub as his opponent was a no-show… Past that, I’ll keep you in mind. :)

So Id have Lobo… That would be fun >:)

Short Sword, Morning Star, and Farhenheit… Did anyone else notice the sword pattern here?

And what would that sword pattern be?

I meant how each weapon is a sword.

Actually, its 15 since one of the games is a “game spotlight” ad. We need each rank we can get… And for the record, Elements should bump up more and more. There are some betas that should be dropping otu of the top 15 soon. :)

The tournament sounds very fun, but my week is already busy as it is… Plus seeing that the only availible weapon is trident, I think Im staying out of it.

AI 8 is a joke to me, People can hardly beat FG’s, You think they can beat this new AI which is OP. I would like to see new False gods added rather then a new AI which isn’t needed at this point in the game.

Agreed, and correct me if Im wrong, but isnt “The Trial” Coming soon?

Maybe instead how about this, Before players submit their Arena decks into a league they can submit their decks for review in a new interface system (Within the arena) using your comment/feedback feature and after the owner modify his/her deck he can then submit it into the Arena?

Better chances at the start of submission rather then after the deck is almost being kicked out.

I think the big question is how many people going to take there time to help other player. Is there going to be a rewarding system if you gave a good idea which helped the in the arena?
Is it going to be possible to see other players comments? otherwise some player might give bad ideas just to make the arena easier!

As Qazz said, there are lots of kind people who would love to help out. Though, I do understand people will attempt to trick others in hopes for a cheap rare, the comments will need to be run on the honor system.

With this said, I do like the idea of limiting comments. Even though this was meant for reward issues, it will make the tricking decrease a lot, in my eyes. Players will figure that only lying to a few players wont be as effective as each battle.

Hmm… If I understand this correctly, there will be ap age where fellow players can help other players with their arena decks?
Concerning this idea, there wouldnt be much time for the critique since you only get the one day before the deck must be submitted. Also, I think this idea would have more chance of the initial creator being tricked. Someone might be able to convince a player that relic truly is the best card, for example.

Yea that’s the problem and with so many players actively in Arena per league and having all their arena decks saved = Alot of memory space but I don’t see the idea being heavily needed at all.

True it’s not “heavily needed,” but there is always room for improvement. Dont you ever have curiousity on how your deck has truly done against players? Wins/Losses dont tell the whole story, and up/down votes arent personal enough to patch that up. Even if its just an optional box on the side of the screen, I find it would be helpful. If you look at the lower gold leaderboard, there are plenty of people with a 0:3 result. THese comments could potentially help new league members adjust to the new parameters of the league, being as others at their skill lvl or higher would be playing their league.

-Note: Im going on vacation until Sunday. Ill be ready to answer all questions though :)

Note that I am not against the idea but at the same time the feedback is short live as this idea mostly help newer players which decks doesn’t last long due to the lack of cards or improper deck. Arena decks vary by the oracle card so it’s not like E.G Top50 a long time ago where your deck always stayed up and where advise would greatly benefit.

If the decks stayed up permanently then this idea would be great but arena decks are up temporarily.

Valid point, but could tis possibly be a way to further compare deck styles for the user? For example, If you were to submit two seperate rainbows with similar stats, you can figure which one has a better chance versus players. Sure the idea sounds hollow because of seperate stats, but that view could also help with realizing heals are needed, or even tweaking deck sizes a tad.

That’s a great idea! You should start a thread on the official forums.

I am 50/50 on this idea, If a persons decks doesn’t do well it means 1) Opponent had a better counter deck 2) Owner of deck must improved his/her deck which brings us to the basic deck building skill. We shouldn’t give advise to decks that will last less then a week but instead help the player learn to make better decks.

Well everyone starts out in bronze, where most players are just learning the ropes of synergies and gameplay. This is a great opportunity for players to learn from their mistakes. How could we learn from our mistakes without knowing what went wrong/well? The best way we could find out is playing our own deck, which is not very effective. All in all, most everyone can benefit from constructive criticism, which [I hope] this feature would provide.

I think it’s interesting, but I doubt that many people will actually take the time to right anything that’s constructive. Some might even use that for trolling/flaming purposes. In addition, how do you propose that the creator of the deck receive those comments?

Well there will always be positive and negative feedback. If a user feels that the negative feedback would be too much for them, in whatever way, they could disable the commenting for their deck, or simply not look.
In concern of reading the comments, I imagined that there would be another button similar to the leaderboard button by the current deck that takess you to a page listing the comments on either the won or loss side/page. Also, just like leaderboard, this link would take them to a seperate page.

Topic: Elements / Hey, How did I do?

Arena has become a vital part of most players’ time on Elements. Plus, everyone hates when the deck that they found to be well-made ends up being toppled by another player. Of course, there’s no way to tell whether luck played a key factor in the match, if one side barely stole the win, or even how the player truly felt about the deck.
To fix this, I propose that we add the possibility of commenting on an arena deck, in addition to the up/down votes. Since deciding whether the deck was good or bad becomes vague to the deck creator, comments will help the creator improve their overall gameplay.
Concerning the electrum bonus of rating a deck, I suggest it gets changed to 3 electrum for the up/down vote, and 3 more electrum for the [optional] comment.
I do realize that this idea is nearly a shot in the dark, being as many players are happy with the Arena state as it is, but I figured I should take a chance and see what everyone thinks of this plan.
Im looking forward to some further ideas on this. Thanks for reading!

EDIT: Maybe it would even be possible to combine the two. This way people will not be able to send out comments unrelated to the deck for a few extra electrum.

~If there are enough positive reviews of this idea, I will move this to the official forum for Elements

Is it just me or does anyone else find it ironic that Mich used incorrect grammar, while critiquing Lol’s grammar? Not to mention a few typos later on, but they don’t really count… ANYWAYS, the story honestly lacks structure. Sorry, but I had to say something. I’ve kind of given up on reading the story itself, since a majority of the sentences require decoding.

With that aside, I return to my topic of Mich… you handled the situation extrememly wrong. Telling someone to quit doing something they love is simply a mark of arrogance and ignorance. I’m normally a nice & kind man, but I don’t have to be when someone else was rude first. Isn’t the world great like that? At least Lol is voicing his ideas rather than keeping everything inside his head, until anxieties finally get to him. COnsidering the title, it can work. the form of Adj. at N. implies how things are at that place. For example: Cold at my house. True it’s not a full sentence, but since when are all titles full sentences?

I’m tired of typing now… so I hope you think about what I’ve said.

You’re instead of your was a typo. (Yes, I caught myself. Happy?) I just find that there is no point in writing or reading a story with that many flaws. You even said yourself that you have given up on it. It is not something he loves. Psychology teaches and I know for a fact, because I have experienced it. If you truly do love something, you eventually excel at it. That is because, love and passion for something is stronger than anything else and that means that you will not give up on something and do whatever it takes to be better at that. Lol has waaaaay below writing skills than normal eleven year olds (I’m taking a guess at his age) let alone above average that someone who truly loves writing would be. I tried just showing him the errors that he made and he got pissed off and refused to fix those errors. Now I’ve tried acting the way I did and it actually worked. He edited his post. The fact that that sentence is better is proof. I tried editing MawkM’s work and he was fine and even gratified with it and now we’re good friends. There is an obvious change in his writing and it is much better than before. If anything, Lol’s writing has declined. He doesn’t know to put spaces after periods, he changes from past to present tense all the time, and has numerous grammatical and spelling errors. I agree that I may have acted a bit more hostile than I should have, but I am only thirteen years old and am allowed a few rage moments. He is a fail of a writer and I just wish he would stop.

I’ll keep this short.
1) Eventually implies that he still has time to excel at it.
2) Your (no pun intended) “typo” would most likely not have both the apostrophe and the extra E.
3) I’m just saying that taking control of someones writing piece isn’t necessary. You were a bit mean with it at first is why he did not fix it.
