while you’re reporting to the devs can you ask them why they’ve made the weakest race in the game even weaker? With the changes to the weapon skill tree, no mercenary class can hit multiple targets until at least level 85 and without that ability I don’t think they’ll be able to beat the crypt and get to level 85.

I say let’s nerf shaman and rider to the other main hero levels. It wouldn’t be too hard, just bring shaman dmg back to almost useless levels and make rider attack only 1 troop. Then you’ll have your goal of getting all main heroes at about the same power level. :p

(btw, this is a joke in case anyone is actually taking this seriously)

How about a reset option in the Sanctuary?
For 20 Diamonds you have the option of resetting the hero’s stats to its original values and restore all purifies for that hero. This would help the people who baptised/purified without knowing what they were doing.
Furthermore, if for the main hero this button restored the base stats of the current hero type, it would solve the problem of people’s first choice affecting their play style forever. This will let a physical starting hero switch to a mage if he feels like it and a mage starting hero to switch to a physical hero without being penalized by having stats that are optimized for the other.
Example: starting with a Tribal Beast Rider gives you 45 power, 55 agility, 45 intelligence and 55 command. If I switch to a Tribal Shaman and use the reset button in the sanctuary, I will now have 50 power, 45 agility, 60 intelligence and 45 command.

here is another battle where Alinea didn’t even need to fire off her Castor to win. In fact the opponent’s Castor fired off a Roar and hers didn’t, but she still won.
edit: Well hers fired one Roar off at the end of the battle when there was only 1 troop left, so it doesn’t really count as an AoE

here we go, I’m attacking with my 166 power, 2896 P.atk Castor against one of the top players on the server (to show maxed defense makes a big deal) You’ll see that my Castor didn’t deal all that much damage to a maxed def Castor. (the other heros aren’t maxed def yet)
Does this convince you about the importance of improving your p.Def now?

But that’s the difference in equipment. Which is what I’m trying to tell you; if you bring your defense up, Castor’s attack power is mitigated.
I’ve brought my physical defense up to about 2k for my front line heros, yes all 3 of them, but Castor has about 200 more, merlin 100 more than Andromeda than the rest. If you look at my back hero, Hugues, he dies pretty much with 1 hit of Castor because he doesn’t have as good armor.
Edit: And although I’ve maxed my atk for castor I’m far away from Maxing defense on him. He can go up to 2800 p.Def if I had the proper +80 equipment.

Did you even see the 2 battles? 1 was a lvl 67 Castor and the other a level 80 Castor against my lvl 75 Castor. I think those levels are comparable to each other. How else would you define comparable strengths?

here we go, 2 fights where I let the opponents Castor fire off first and I still won in the end.

Just having Castor doen’t mean you will automatically kill anyone else with Castor if you fire off first. Optimizing equipment and formations are important too.

O.o And you are able to beat a castor who manage to roar but never one hit your team?

Almost. They roared first, killing everyone except Castor and I roared back, killing most of their troops. But then I haven’t maxed out my Heroes’ defense yet either, not even Castor. That’s why I know it is possible.

Not true, there are various strategies you can take against a simple idea like that, for example, putting Hugues in the first position. Also, if you max your defense, a charged Castor will not neccessarily 1hit you. (i’ve had other people’s Castor take about 2/3 of some of my hero’s health due to their high P.Def)

the account zq games is for customer feedback. It is not a dev who actually owns that account. So think of it as getting tech support from the salesperson instead of the engineer. If you were to speak to the devs directly they either wouldn’t understand you or reply in a languague that you don’t understand (literally!)

3. Going back to balance and endgame – u gota give ppls some reason to play after thair close to beeing maxed(ppls shouldnt be maxed at this point that obv ) – make build times longer , res longer , drop rate should be much lower also – add orange sets for all lvl ranges with extremly low drop chances , make santalike instance that u can repeat all the time u want or close to with rly low chance of gettin cgs or rare equips but most important make pvp balanced and fun…

You have to balance making players spend more time in the game and in makeing the game so difficult that players ragequit because they have to sit around for months twiddling their thumbs while they prepare for the next fight.
Orange item(s) do have really low drop rates in my experience. the orange book in the 4.5 legion has not yet dropped fore me in over 40 fights.
I would also like them to add in the missing items in the sets, so we are in agreement there. For PvP, look at my reply to 1. It’s not as good as it could be, but it’s certainly not as simple as who goes first wins. It’s a matter of hero placement and how good each hero’s equipment is.

4. To ppls who say with balanced castor and atilla we wouldnt be able to advance tho gates – maybe gates are to hard also then – or maybe u are not supposed to go that far – i personally think all armors should be stronger so forging stuff for all heroes would actually make sence and not only aoe heroes would be usefull. If we rly need owp AOE heroes to get tho gates – it only mean gates are to hard – it doesnt at all mean OP aoe heroes are cool.

Once again I’ll say this. If we weren’t supposed to be able to advance into the new content, why did they add it before they added the new town areas? Armors are pretty strong if you fort them to +80, they do make a big difference.
If the gates are too hard, then the devs need to reduce the difficulty level of all the battles in the gates, before they reduce the power of the only heroes allowing us to get through them right now.

Personally speaking , ilike the PvE aspect of the game better than the PvP one (which I almost ignore). So if Castor is nerfed I’d be pretty pissed, since I wouldn’t be able to continue with the game.

ps. Ill be glad if most common argument against me will be my terrible english – sry abt that

Nah, I don’t care about your english as long as it is understandable. I think your best suggestion is to lower the difficulty levels of the gates and of Castor at the same time isn’t too bad, but that seems like so much work I doubt it’ll be implemented. Can you come up with a better idea for balancing the game?

We just lost the Sunfury fortress after keeping both fortresses for slightly under 48 hours. The Sunfury Fortress was conquered about 2 days ago, the Vigilius fortress about 4 days ago.

Since the 2 fortresses are in different locations and have different numbers, this appears to be a completely new bug that doesn’t allow an alliance to take 2 fortresses.

Edit: Tried a fortress takeover of Sunfury Fortress 4 at 4:17pm server time (EST) 10 Jan 2012. nhry led the attack. We won but didn’t get to take command of the fortress.

We took the Sunfury fortress 3 after the Capital Battle time at 11.39am server time (EST) 11 Jan 2012. It seems we can only recalim the fortress after the capital battle is finished for the next day when the bug triggers.

Because 2k aoe with low hit rate is insanly OP o.O
And what all that lack of gear, she’s really hard to kill as well!

It is when you spec your mage correctly so there is a high hit rate and you don’t have to charge your special attack, so you can do AoE every single round without merlin. There are balance problems in the game with the main heroes (specifically Imperial Rider and Tribal Shaman), not just Castor.

I agree Castor and Merlin are the only way to be good in PvP now. That being said, PvP is not the only aspect of the game, don’t forget about the rest of the players who like PvE encounters too. For PvP encounters, prestige fights don’t really hamper the defender anyway, since they only lose some soldiers from it. High level Arena fights are pretty much about hero placement, and it would be the same regardless of Castor or not. I do agree Castor has taken out some variety in the formations though.

The big balance problem here is not only in Castor but in the enemy encounters from 4.4 onwards. If you nerfed Castor, you would have to nerf all enemies from 4.4 onwards too, and that is a lot of balancing that is needed. (It is possible to get through 4.4 and 4.5 without Castor, but you’d need +70 to +80 equipment and techs for that, and 5.1 and E1.1 would just be impossible)

It’s more like without Castor the newer chapters (5.x and elite) are just impossible to beat. Enemy’s Magic attack is too strong in this game and a full set of magic defense items will let you survive maybe 2 rounds, possibly 3. You need to kill the mages before they get to you.

Also, there are huge time sinks in chapter 4 and chapter 5 already. I think being stuck at 5.1 for 3 weeks counts as a good enough time sink don’t you?

We lost the fortress at 2.48pm, about 10 minutes after we took a fortress in Vigilius (Level 30-60).

This seems like a bug not allowing an alliance to hold 2 fortresses in 2 different regions. (I made a post yesterday on the same issue, but we lost the other fortress then)

Edit: Tried a fortress battle at around 9:30pm server time. we won the battle but the fortress never went into our command.

Is this bug triggered when an alliance holds 2 or more fortresses in different regions? The server then sees the alliance owns 2 fortresses and doesn’t check that they are in different regions, and so returns one of them to the server. (Since an alliance can only own 1 fortress per region).

My alliance didn’t have any problems until we took a 2nd fortress in the 60-80 area. Did you guys have the same trigger?

We lost the fortress at 2.30pm, about 10 minutes after we took a fortress in Sunfury (Level 60-80). Did 3 fortress battles (on fortress 1,2 & 3) in Vigilius between 4pm-4.30pm server time (EST) and we won all 3 battles, but we were not able to take command of the fortress there. Zillek commanded fortress battles for 1 & 3, CHONGO commanded battle for 2.
