Topic: War of the Web / Small List of Dangers

I’m just going to make a small list of dangers here.

Template for dangers:

(Name) (INT/NEW/ARM/JIG/FCB)
Target: ??? (use only if small-scale threat)
Threat Level: ?/10
Special: Put in here any info that helps the threat achieve high damage.

Name is bold if Threat Level is greater than 6.
INT means International, NEW means Newgrounds, ARM means Armor Games, JIG means Jiggmin, FCB means Facebook.

National Threats
_____________________

Fan654fdf2 (NAT)
Threat Level: 5/10
Specials: Alt, Dingus

Several dingus alts can do lots of damage altogether. Due to farm accounts, it is relatively easy to supply alternate accounts with coins in the case of damage. Military units also carry their own cities in the case of bankruptcy.
Fortified bases are more favored against such threat, so the threat level is much lower.

Small-Scale Threats
___________________

Lucas Oliveira (FCB)
Target: ???
Threat Level: 2/10
Special: Extreme Sabotage, Fortified

Lucas Oliveira belongs to Facebook. With an intel power of 72, the base is capable of sabotage with only 1 turn. This will deal severe damage to fortified bases (which rely on strongholds for added defense), and otherwise is capable of wiping out a 108-soldier army at maximum possible strength (max rank with best weapons).

For Kongregate!

Fan’s alts? Yeah…sure…I don’t know. I’m pretty sure that by the next 2 months or so all targets here will be neutralized by Haxmod.

So, is there an estimated release date? I’d like to see the entire system take action against a threat.

Topic: Off-topic / OpenSSL Heartbleed

The Heartbleed bug is an OpenSSL bug, and currently the most major bug waiting to be fixed, affecting approximately 17% of websites using OpenSSL (17 percent of two-thirds of the Internet). It allows hackers to send an invalid “Heartbeat” request, a way to identify that a server is currently working, in order to steal information from the server. This includes everything private; it could be your password, your credit card info and even your personal information.

Example: A normal Heartbeat request is like saying this to a server: “If you’re there, send me a 5-letter word [hello]”. If the server responds, it sends back “hello” to the user. However, in a Heartbleed attack, it’s saying this: “If you’re there, send me a 12345-letter word [hello]”. In this case, the server does not check if “hello” is a 12345-letter word, therefore it sends “hello”, plus the extra bit of 12340 letters the hacker is waiting for.

Picture:

Now, I’m wondering if Kongregate has been secured from this bug?

You are considering the “homo sapiens” to become extinct in the next 500,000 years, but undoubtedly, they’re going to change into different species as well, so you can’t expect “humans” to become extinct if you put it that way. Plus, not only would you need to be subjected to evolving technology that would be noticed by sentient “humans” before they take you down knowing a future threat, but you would also be competing with other animals in the list. Also, “human” technology is BOOMING: In fact, a desperation attack when you somehow manage to wipe out almost all of them in the future, could lead everything in the world, including you crows, to be evaporated in less than 3 minutes.

Also, if “humans” fail to stop their currently uncontrollable industrialization, your little tribe homes in the future would be wiped out before you could even have a chance to match against them, and your only homes would be artificial gardens, closely monitored by “humans” that would eventually, accidentally, wipe you out.

Did you forget about your pesky humans?
They love to do lots of shit. Shootings, Massacres, Hacking, you name it. You guys are pretty fucked up sometimes. With your races ever-growing tech, there will still be a problem. That is why we use the simplest technology so our Mafia members don’t exploit it. We crows might not even have to interfere to help destroy your race by eating all your crops and starving you. You people may be the bane of your existence. Since we are the most intelligent birds on this here planet, I’d like to say that we can adapt to your polluted cities and also eat your resources until your food chain falls down, to pieces.

In less than 500,000 years, “humans” would have already invented deadly superfusion nukes to wipe out the entire world with the press of a button; then, “humans” will have colonized places on different worlds, possibly even sustainable itself. therefore to truly wipe out “humans”, you’d have to be just as technologically advanced as they would be in the future to reach the rest, and therefore you will be subjected to the same problems as we currently do.

2 and 5 go to B → 5
2 and 5 go back to A → 2+5=7
Add them up and get 12.
You need to be more clear, dude.

“2 and 5 go back to A”; that only means you’re moving them in a pair!

If I cross ac and bring ac back, would the medium value be 11?
If so, this is impossible. Or I’m not understanding this somewhat vague problem.

Changed the problem to clear up the misunderstanding. Also, I’m not sure how you got 11; the only explanation is that you probably added the values a and c to create the pair once, creating 5+6, or you either accidentally added up your value with the example I gave.

Let’s hope that these brilliant birds don’t get any ideas from Alfred Hitchcock, otherwise the human race might be in trouble…”

Erm, when I was thinking of animals which would live on after the rest of the planet is basically exterminated, I wasn’t thinking of crows but more so of animals such as well, not crows.

Cockroaches? They’ve been living, and have survived, ever since the Jurassic era. I don’t know, but they’re life; living things, so maybe they’re animals if you put it into a broad perspective.

Topic: Off-topic / Random Mathematical Puzzle

I’m dropping off a mathematical puzzle here.

There are 4 values in set A: a, b, c, and d. Their values respectively are 1, 2, 5 and 10. Two values (a pair) can go to another set B, but they do not add (they are only the value of the bigger one, and do not combine; example, values a and b paired only have the value 2, c and d = 10.).

Every time a pair crosses to set B, the medium value (starts as 0) increases by the pair’s value (for example, values a and b crossing to set B increases the medium value by 2). After the transfer, any value (not in a pair) currently in set B must return to set A, increasing the medium value again (value a returning from set B increases the medium value by 1).

After returning, you can once again transfer a pair (does not have to be the same value that returned). All values in set A must cross to set B, but the medium value must be exactly 17. Do you know the solution

Hint: Pair ab crosses, medium value is now 2. a comes back, medium value is now 3. The sets should now look like this:

A{a, c, d} (3) B{b}

Chapter 1: A Brand New Change
==
Today was a peaceful day in Evriditia. As the galaxy itself is falling apart, the remaining people try to enjoy their final months. Some hated it, some wanted a change, and some just continued their lives normally, as if nothing had changed. All the magic they knew was to fly and create when we were given permission to in each world, and the artificial magic used in a single room called “The Lobby” that allowed them to go to other worlds with ease.

Deon was bored. He expected a lot more in this galaxy, so he was completely silent, only continuosly going to other worlds like normal. Until he found something. He noticed that one of his worlds had been modified. This was strange, because he hadn’t been to that world for some time now. All he could see as he entered the world was a large mess of blocks, including the owner-only ones, being placed by a mysterious person…

He flied just above the giant pile of blocks.

Deon: What the…

Deon: Hey! Who are you? And what are you doing to my world?!

???: I’m working on something.

Deon: Wait…why here? Why don’t you do this in your own world?

???: Oh… that’s easy. It’s because your world is special.

Deon: What do you mean, my world is special? It’s just like any other world!

???: …Nevermind that. I am doing this because what I’m building… Will revolutionize the galaxy!

Deon: Revolutionize the galaxy? … Who are you?! I won’t let you do anything to the galaxy!

Deon struggled to remove the giant pile of conjured blocks, but as he tried to, he immediately lost his permission to fly and conjure/destroy, which was strange because the world had belonged to him.

???: You know, you could have stayed put there, because it’s all too late, anyway.

The mysterious person fixed all the damage done to his pile of blocks. He then flipped a switch.
As soon as he did this, everybody had been sent to the Lobby, with an announcement that the galaxy will be recieving another change. Some people rejoiced, thinking that the Inventor wasn’t gone after all, and only pretended to be gone to work on a huge change. Deon was the only person who was against this. Was he wrong? As soon as the changes were done, people had noticed strange things; they realized they had new “powers”, each one unique to every one of them.

Deon and a few others could “manipulate” blocks in a different manner than everyone elses’, Some could even give life to blocks, Creating “shadow” clones, uh… turning into a fire-fox?… And do temporary evolution. As this happened, a small part of the Military Of Diagre Sevamr (Evrinese for “Military Of The Mighty”) came back to the galaxy, as they sensed the mysterious energy. As soon as they went in, they were granted their own powers, and they were superior, but they hesitated to use them.

“And so it begins.”, the mysterious person said.

Lol, sorry for it taking so long! I’m going to get the rather short chapter done, because there is no more time. And the fact that most people chose neutral or player is bad, as I will need to maintain my self-made villains for the story, meaning a chapter will take longer to make than expected.

For those who want to appear in the story, use the application here:
Name: Your name goes here. It doesn’t have to be your name, as this will be the name you will be referred to in the story!
Unique Magic: Your special, unique magic power. Common magic powers (like flying; There’s “god mode” for that)/Overpowered ones will not be accepted, so try to be creative!
Personality: How you want your character to act like (I’m not good at this, so don’t blame me!).
Gender: Of course. How can I write the story without knowing your gender? I need this info to write some sentences, and some other stuff.
Side: Your Side. You can be “Neutral”, “Player” or “Hacker”.

==

Once you are done, check the “DNMR” (Does Not Meet Requirements) section, just in case. You will be notified of why your character cannot be entered into the story. If you are in this section, you CAN change your character application. Some applications are accepted, but they might be modified. To distinguish them from the normal ones, their Kongregate name will also be bolded.

Characters:
Thirdy (Deon): Somebody who has been living in the galaxy for quite some time now. He has the average personality, and his unique magic is the ability to quickly utilize blocks as weapons. (Player)

Cuculo (well, Cuculo.): An intelligent, persuasive and confident person. His goal is to create an utopia, with no sorrow. He has the ability to give life to blocks, and will try to accomplish his goal, no matter what. (Neutral-Hacker)

jkdrip (Drip): An antihero. You know what that means. Has the ability to “pick up” blocks using his(?) mind. (Player). Bagels.

Battleship (Sly): Read application. (Player)

ProfEvolution (Tristian?): Read application. (Player)

IceBomb45 (Shiny): … (Player)
==
DNMR:

MawkM233 (Mawk) – Wait, how is that magic?

meowmeow222 (Meow) – You get to keep that power, but, what would you do with that power? Incorporate it into a block fist?

Venerated_Reaper (Mich) Sure, but… Why? Just why?
