Topic: Galaxy Online / R.I.P Griz

This news breaks my heart, and my feelings go out to his family and friends.
While i did not know Griz personally in his life, he did brush mine.
For is not our online game a life next to our own? Part of who we are?
Almost never do we really reveal who we are, but we do reveal our character.
Who we are in our purest form, our mind.
And in that light i can tell his family and friends, that no matter how “griz” was in your life.
No matter how you remember him.
To me he was a kind and giving person. With a drive to be the best.
Please take the knowledge to heart that even the people who did not truly know him as you did,
felt his kindness and liked him for it.

My condolences, truethfull and sincere,

Topic: Galaxy Online / Championships decoys

This is a Strategic space warfare game. Especially in championships using strategy can win or lose your fight. These decoy fleets are a strategy of some players to get lucky and still get champpoints, while shortening the duration of the whole fight. I suggest you come up with a counterstrategy ingame instead of proposing new requirements for the championships all together.

in other words (same apperantly goes with alts, this can be argued part of strategy too): Deal with it.

this building is saving me alot of time, because when i cannot league, i still get honor. When i dont have time to do restricted, i still get badges. And because i work saturdays, when i miss championships, i still get champ points. I like this new feature IGG, thumbs up. Building costs seem steep but it is totally worth it in the long run it saves you a great deal of time.

The ad’s are based on your recent internet activity. Kong uses stuff like cookies to monitor what kind of sites you visit. So you see a BMW ad, because your activity is linked to everything car related. If someone watches alot of porn they will get ads asking if they want to join relationship websites. If you play alot of different games you get games ads like me. And some of the ads are payed for to appear for everyone. So the longer you play on kong, the better the ads will connect to your needs and maybe you will click them one day. Which also is not a bad thing per se :D

On topic, a new server is not really the answer for anyones problems, your 1m prices might not last long. Be carefull what you wish for.

normal instances have no flagships anyway.

^ That would be rather irritating to make all players spend time fighting through instances that they can already do.

I would like to suggest an information popup after gem merging, notifying you of what gem you have merged. The same information as when you use an item would be nice. I often merge raw gems and do not know what gem i have created.

The whole point is that the others are not supposed to catch up.

If your purpose is to create an imbalanced game without people having equal chances one way or another, then your concept will mean the end of your game. As long as the strong get stronger faster and the rest has no chance then your game dies off. People will leave. Just pointing out the obvious.

You can open as much new servers as you want but it will all end in the same thing with imbalanced games. The elite will stay, majority dies off. Next server less playerbase, the elite will stay, the rest dies off. Next server same thing and so on and so on. Untill the Elite consist of 10 players or less and there is no more others. Then the elite leave, the game dies and bye bye game.

Thats why i asked what IGG will do to balance the game a bit more, so ALL players can enjoy it, and not just a happy few.

The difference really is if you want your daily honor, you need to be there to post your fleets 3 times. If you automate it and dont have to be online you dont have to be there. It is the same with EZ-rewards, you should ask for an automatic collection of that too then.

My eyes dont need to be checked, i have, i do not need glasses. Besides that comment is completely irrelevant.

The biggest difference between your and my opinion my dear tim, is that i argue you should be there at least 3 times to get the daily reward. And you argue you shouldnt have to be there for your daily reward.

IGG should aim for more things to do, more things you can influence, more people online for longer. I didn’t mean to shoot down your idea, i am glad you think about game improvements. I just posted my opinion on it, dont feel attacked. I’m sure a middle path is possible.

I am against automatic league. There are only two timeframes on purpose, people have a better chance to find eachother in those hours. Im sure you have to work and are having trouble to make 1 timeframe, but then you can always make the other. If you want to do league you have to put some effort in.

Next thing you know you are going to ask for automatic pirates, space raid, instance queque, attacking players….
A game needs to be played. If you can play without being present, you are not actually playing it. This game already has not too many things to do, dont make it less by automizing signups.

There is absolutely no difference between an obvious alt and a hidden one. Alts suck and are bad for gameplay but is hard to stop, i believe Legend of a thousand suns on kongregate has a strict policy that seems to work kind off. Maybe IGG has to look into that. When you decide to make work of banning alternative accounts, IGG, please let people post them to you so they can keep their main account.

Constructive critisism will get you more and cost you less then a destructive legalcampaign, that might ruin the game for everyone. If you are serious about this (which i doubt) you will just cause IGG to spent more of their income towards the legal case and less towards updates and new content development.

If you just want to scare IGG into starting banning alternative accounts, tough luck, the issue has been recorded and its either deemed unsolvable/too expensive to solve or somewhere down the to do list scaring them will not cause any change.

My advice instead of complaining and wasting times to do the things you currently do, is to help IGG constructively by writing out and perhaps even coding new content you feel should be around. Get knowledge of how other games, like GO-II,solved the same problems that bother you.

Be polite. IGG tries to always be polite towards you, you should return the favor. It is like in a store, when you yell at a clerk he will not help you. The same rules of conduct apply to the internet. If you do not respect someone he will be less likely to listen to you, let alone help you.

Last, give up hope for a refund. the game works though not perfectly. You spent money to get access to a certain product to improve your gameplay. You have received your product and it does exactly what the description says. It does not do exactly what you thought the description ment. Therefor the problem is on your side, not IGG’s.

I’ll simplify by an exaggerated example:
You see an add for a vacuum that promises suction like you have never seen before! You buy the vacuum because you think the suction will rip out your insides when you put it on your behind.

The day the vacuum arrives you put your old vacuum on your hand and it gets stuck but it does not hurt. Nothing shows on your hand.
You put the new one on you hand and keep your other hand above the off-button because you are anticipating a hell lot of pain. When you turn it on it is painfull, but barely. A red ring shows on your hand this time.

The vacuum does what the advertisement says, but it does not live up to your expectations. Hence the fault is with you. Lower your expectations before you spend your money, not afterwards. Think and read, experience and get information about what you are exactly buying. You can then make an informed decision.

I hope you have learned from the mistakes you made by spending money on this game, next time follow the right path and you will not be dissapointed.

Off all the multi player games I’ve played I think only ninja was did less for me. Ceasary was a stupid peace of crap that I think was ultimately shut down for copyright infringement (if I recall correctly they where a 100% carbon copy of another game) to boot there was a security hole that a truck could be driven through. but at least armies where necessary for advancement in the game giving it a sense of purpose.

There is more to it then you are implying. I eagerly wait borntolose his comment on this, just because you deserve it.

Topic: Galaxy Online / Server01 & Server02 Merger on Jan 5th(updated)

Server merges tend to have two sides to them. An up and a downside, wont be getting in to this though. People who already play both servers have multiple accounts. Now lets just look at the main reason the merge is happening: the playerbase is low. The best way to fix the problem would be to have just 1 server and everybody has to start over. From a player point of view however this is horrible ;) The horror of the buildtimes the research and basically the time spent on the game will be lost. So this is not an option.

The second option mostly looked at is a servermerger. This however sets a big chunk of the playerbase behind on the other, removing their results/competitivity and also hereby removing part of the reason why they were playing. This works though, since you can always catch up. The further you get in the game the longer stuff takes, so you are bound to catch up. Especially when they reset all RBP’s the resource gaps between players will not be so HUGE you wont be able to catch up. Downside: everybody loses something. Not just the lower players or the second server, every single one loses stuff. You lose stuff so you all get a chance to be at the same level and then start competing again. Sometimes this works, but i dont see this as a best option.

I would have to say making servertransfers possible with a EZ-reward or MP might be a better option then merging. You wont be transfering dead accounts(with MP no alternative either). Players who dont want to pay make the choice to have to start over from scratch. And players transfering will not lose anything at all, there might actually be a high demand to grab them up in the corps. Yes you will kill a server, friends will miss eachother, corps will be gone. But you will only transfer willing players this way instead of forcing them all.

Now am i not part of s1 nor s2 so im not affected by this merger. I am just hoping new ways of reviving the game for dead servers will be explored, because i dont think a merger is the best way.

Good luck after the merger, have fun, and i hope the game will regain some of its appeal it had for you before your respectable server died.

I only criticize because this game has a lot of potential, but the above problems are not present in a lot of other games of the same genre that YOU I.G.G. are Competing against for customers.

I agree with you. But at least now i know I.G.G. still is around :P I was starting to think there was not anyone.
