just another random idea:

Add an assistant function to your shop keeper. Instead of making items they are tasked to gather materials for other workers and put complete items in the box so that the worker finishes one item and start the next right away. Maybe the number of workers supported would be equal to the number of item quee slots your shop keeper has unlocked.

I was just thinking about something like this. Being able to hire gofers especially useful if they improve the expansion options, so you can build discrete workrooms for your crafters, or a storeroom for your supplies.

Gonna agree with Satira; I’d prefer progress be reset for a sequel. Half the fun of this game is starting from nothing and working your way up :)

So, my contribution to the swarm of ideas is: what if we could hire adventurers as a part of our staff? Put them on retainer, effectively. You could still ask customers to go on quests, but there would be new values like “adventurer reward” and “fame,” and if those were too low, they’d refuse. That’s where your on-call team would step in. Need more logs urgently? Send that Barbarian you hired out to chop down some trees. Over time, they’d level up, and you’d be able to customize them in a more RPG fashion, where customers would level up on their own and might not progress in ways that are always useful.

Skimmed through the thread; sounds like the series is not just in good hands, but is in fact in significantly better ones. Looking forward to the beta!

The option to hire my people assistants. They’d give you the option to have mutliple projects running out of the same room at once, but they’d have lower skill levels than your main craftsmen, so they’ll take longer to complete tasks. It’d free up your main workers for research or difficult projects, and allow you to more quickly complete collaboration items like the guns or armor.

Some sort of single-player mode would cut down on lag; something like you see in Tyrant or Warlords. It’d also help fill out the story, and provide somehthing other than starters to purchase with crystals (additional campaigns). Your cards wouldn’t necessarily level up during single player, but you would have the opportunity to unlock new cards.
