Officially open for commissions, if anyone is interested. Prices and whatnot can be found over on the dA .
Any feedback on my prices or policies or whatnot would be very appreciated. I have never done commissioned work before, so I have literally no idea if I’m charging way too much or not enough or what.

Heh, trust me the vore wasn’t intentional. She’s supposed to be fighting King Ghiddorah, but then I realized it ended up looking like she was being eaten.
Also, don’t know if it’s the contrast on my monitor or what, but the shading on the teeth seems to have freaking nearly disappeared when I moved it over to the laptop to put it up on the web. :S
Thanks for the compliment. :3

Well, one was done in GIMP, the other in SAI.
Atomic Demonology was done in SAI, Laharl was done in GIMP.
The methods I used with both are vastly different, but both get some pretty crisp results. With SAI I’ve been using my tablet (A Monoprice 10×6.25, a great buy at only around fifty bones) and Squeedge’s brush settings which she has posted up since so many folks ask about ’em. Her settings give you crisp, bold, and smooth lines and you get them real angular if you want if you crank up the stabiliazer a little higher. Nothing too fancy done there, just keep the line layer separate from the base sketch layer and the colors layers. Takes a lot of erasing though, because I am sloppy as hell.
Laharl on the other hand was done entirely with GIMP and a mouse after the initial sketch was drawn and scanned. The method I use with GIMP is much slower, but gives you complete control on the results of each ‘stroke.’ Basically what I do is use the curve/path tool (if I want bendy, curvy lines as you can see in all the pony fanart up there) or the lasso selection tool (if I want jagged, pointy, straight lines like in the Laharl one or the JSRF/MLP stuff I’ve done.) and use that to create the outline of each part (selection from path if I’m using the curve/path tool0. It’s incredibly time consuming, but I think the results are rather nice. Did that Pinkie Pyro shirt design in one day using this method, and that’s with me getting all distracted. A couple of examples on my dA of using that method on larger projects would be the x-tan pony and Hydra’s Tea Party, both of which were done over a couple of days.
Think Hydra’s Tea Party took something like 4 days, but it had tons of background elements and I was constantly doing other things while working on it.
EDIT: Oh, for resolution it really kind of depends on the image but I usually work in the 3200×2400 area, and I don’t normally do any touch-up work in anything else. I find that GIMP can pretty much handle whatever I throw at it.

Mostly GIMP, but a couple of those were done in SAI with my tablet. Trial ran out on SAI though, so I can’t really make much use of it anymore.

Thankya. :3
I dig all Lapfoxtrax has to offer, but I especially dig Renard, Mayhem, and Klippa tracks.
Also, you’re right I do need more Big Mac (Read: any amount of Big Mac)

I ask, because I’m working on some room acquisition and if it goes as planned I may be able to change the name of that room in time.
There’s a room called Everfree Forest.
How have I not noticed this?
Well, I feel stupid. :p
Its cloaked by its Anti-Brony regs, and The fact its Everfree forest.
So, would another pony room just be superfluous then or would it actually get some traffic?
If anyone’s interested, I’m trying to get Entropic Delirium since it’s pretty much a dead room.

That made me angry too. What’s worse is that she probably won’t be in the season two finale, either. Why does noone at DHX love Luna? Luna is nocturnal most likely, also as for season 1, she probably spent a lot of that time retraining her magic powers so she could be big and strong, as she was left small and weak after the elements of harmony were used on her.
I could see that being the case, but didn’t the gala go on into the night? If nothing else, you’d think it would have been put on in her honor or something. Also, she was STILL SPEAKING IN THE ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE at that point, so maybe it was for the best she wasn’t around during the gala.

I honestly had a very hard time putting together a top three list. Everypony is best pony, and I’m an indecisive person.

Top three best ponies?
Well…
Spike, because he’s Rainbow Dash.
Applejack for her letter to Celestia at the end of Super Speedy Cider Squeazy.
Uh…as for third, I have no idea.
EDIT: I never planned on escaping the grasp of ponies. If I did, I wouldn’t have flooded my dA with ponies, starting selling merch on redbubble, or co-founded the Brony Merch page on fb. :p

Oh jeez, guess I should have expected this thread to be this quick.
How silly of me to think I could go do other things. :p
Well, can’t resist answering numbered lists so:
1. Who is your favorite pony? Of the mane six, probably Twilight but it’s so frikkin’ hard to choose. Outside the mane six it’s definitely Scootaloo, little filly just has so much spirit. :3
2. Who is best pony? Spike.
3. What is your favorite episode? Oh god, do not ask me that, I’ll never be able to answer this question.
4. What convinced you to watch MLP? After seeing it around the internet for a month or two I decided I’d go see what all the hubbub was. Watched the first season up to where it was at the time (episode….10, maybe?) in one sitting. Then I started lifting while watching ponies and next thing I know I’m making fanart erryday and seeking ponies everywhere on the internet.
5. Which episodes did you first watch? Started with the very first episode, and I’ve been going in order. I fell in love with the show in the first couple of seconds of the first episode, so there wasn’t much issue with my introductory episodes.
6. Which episode made you realize you liked the show? Again, the very first scene of the very first episode. Fell in love right away.

Here’s that WIP finished:

Most of those up there were done in GIMP, but I’ve recently changed over to Paint Tool SAI since I got a tablet. I’ll probably still do some effects and such through GIMP though, SAI is great for drawing and inking and laying out colors and everything, but feels a little lacking in some areas outside that.
To be specific, the sketch of the mane six was done in SAI, so were Atomic Demonology and the WIP under it. Everything else was all pencils, scanned, then GIMP. The one of Dakota and the Slenderman one two above it are exceptions, being done entirely in GIMP without having been drawn on paper first.
Also, is it just me or are some of these not showing up now?

I’ve got a Scootaloo JSRF one that’s a wee bit like that one hiding away on my dA.
That style’s crazy fun to do and was the easiest thing for me to do with no tablet at the time.

This first post is going to be VERY image-heavy since I have absolutely NEVER shared my art here, so there’s a lot backed up. Don’t get too used to that, though. I take forever to make anything, so updates might be very, very sparing.
Two self-portraits. Rather, introspections.

A testament to boredom and sleep deprivation, an umbral angel done entirely in MS Paint.

Another angel.

Slenderman, because I watched all of what was out at the time of Marble Hornets in one sitting some time back.

Funfact: I have hallucinations sometimes. Try driving with this thing in the backseat.

If anyone’s interested in having a pop art portrait of my friend Dakota on a shirt or sticker, this one’s actually up on my Redbubble.

Atomic Demonology.

The greatest little tyrant.

This one’s for a flash game a friend and I are working on. Really liking this character so far and he’s going to be fun to illustrate, I’m sure. The raven, which will only speak in trochaic octameter, I can already tell is going to be insanely fun to write for.

A WIP of that character, swinging around his scythe, reaping souls.

And now, ponyspam.

Plenty more on my dA, including a good handful of requests I got from ponychan.

Thanks for any C&C I might get. :3
