Topic: War of Omens / Multiplayer matching


I have a different problem with the matchmaking. I simple dont get matched at all. I have already played some mp, but for 2 days i have waited for more than 5 minutes several times without getting matched. I tried with Chrome and Internet Explorer. Same result, it keeps searching and searching and searching…

Maybe someone can help me, i like this game.—-

Problem solved, dont know how.
Everything works fine now.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] Is craw overpowered? + tips against craw

It is so easy to kill with craw compared to some other pvp ships. With Jabber you need the right timing and a good aim, Shino needs some time to get you down from full health, Turbo is tricky to learn and is very vulnerable when it stops in order to spin and kill something with its switchblades, Squid is big and slow, Dread is bigger and slower, AF has low range and just 2 active abilities.

Yes, Craw is nearly useless against structers, but it deals a lot of damage in short time, can slow enemies and can speed up in order to chase or flee (like Undu, just with shorter range and more dps).

Flying against a wall is not the solution, you will get rid of the Kamehas, but you will slow down so Craws Apnotics and Lasers can hit you.

I don´t say it is very overpowered, Craw is just unbalanced and needs some adjustment.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] Bugs and Suggestions

XXggghhr’thulu’s Ancient Presence – multiple skull problem is not solved. When I play XXggghhr’thulu i get frequently asked about the 6 – 15 skulls around the ship. I just see 3, drones seem to get hurt only by the 3 skulls i see. I can’t varify if players get hurt by multiple skulls. Maybe some opponents can.

SS Pilot is from Star Trek, based on Kirk. So is the SS Venture based on SS Enterprise, most people see the resemblance in the name and ship design.

When I play Venture i usually go for revorporator and vorpedoes first, but if i face Hirudo or Shinobi I prefer the laser. it helps escaping or dealing the little extra damage.

traffic rules would be very helpful, and most players are aware of the short-way-to-depot-rule. Some are not and i think most of them won´t read the forum. This topic was discussed befor.

How shall we inform about these rules? “This is a shield battery, this is a turret and don´t forget to stick to the walls when flying to depot und keep away from them leaving it”.

there was an inofficial flight guide for new players with a lot of useful tips, something like a sticky at the front page of the forum would help.

having more drones would not solve the problem of fighting over ATOMs i think. The ships with a dash ability would be buffed. sometimes i want to get some ATOMs with a rather slow ship just to witness how a jabber teammate dashes into them.

Other topic: the OPs and other abilities with big cooldown
sometimes it is hard to see if you can use such an ability. Sometimes it looks as if i could use them. then i hammer f or d without effect or activate them 3 seconds too late. Most of the time these miscalculations are fatal, so it would be usefull to highlight a ready-to-use-ability, especially OPs.

With teamwork Vernture is extremly powerful, i had two matches yesterday with venture and a nice teamwork. We went into the base once the turrets were down and stayed there until the second emitter was down. Yes the ship is useless in 1 on 1 fights, unless its enemy is severely weakend, but it is not designed to be good at killing other ships. Maybe it doesn´t fit your way to play anymore, but i like to know i healed an escaping ally with it or helped the drones to bring 3 towers down. It is the only ship that can do that, and therefor precious and useful.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Vorp!] Regarding Balance, a Peek at Ship Statistics

Just remember, we are all biased. Everyone has their own opinion, likes this, dislikes that. That is the reason for using statistics. Leave the balancing to the people with the real numbers. Of course we can mention some feelings about bad balancing, but nobody can say that he or she is right just because they played more than 1000 matches. We players don´t have enough scientific distance to the subject, numbers have.

You can argue that they don´t look at the important numbers, but again, you don´t know if that is true. It is a bit narrow-minded if you blame the developers for destroying the game just because it moves into a direction you don´t like. Others might enjoy it even more.

And dont forget the new ships, turbo hawk seemes to be very good against jabber and can get to attacked sturctures very fast. Let´s see what´s coming in the future. The statistics will be interesting.

Part of the problem is the community. Some good players seem to like to insult newbies, complain about them and so on. This game needs a bigger community so people can play with and against other people of the same skill. the community won´t grow, if all newbies get insulted. Everyone needs time to learn this game.
