I’ll try to make a chart later. This was the best I could do for now.

Topic: Elemental Power / Starter Tips

I always see new people in the chats asking about what to do at the beginning for the game, so I created this thread to help people get started off.
One of the most often asked questions is what cards you should keep/throw out, so here’s a /very/condensed list of cards you might start out with, and what they can become.
Redling, becomes one of three:
Redling Guard, becomes one of two:
-
Heavy Soldier, becomes:
Redling Warlord: max power 83, defends 40 damage, very good all-around card
-
Redling Gunner, becomes:
Sharpshooter: max power 64, does 46 extra damage on victory; good for a while, but almost totally inferior to Lord of Hell. Still, it’s tied for second for most single-hit card damage with 110 total.
+Redling Shaman, becomes:
-
Hellfire Sorcerer: max power 52, not great on its own but the next attack does 50% more damage on victory
Hell Scout, eventually becomes:
-
Lord of Hell: max power 92, deals 27 extra damage with victory; most single-hit damaging card in the game with 119 max total
+
Fire Spirit, becomes:
Vengeful Spirit Armor, becomes one of two:
-
Sensitive Maktum, becomes:
The Untouchable, max power 39, deals 50 damage to enemy on defeat; not a very effective card, although there are those that swear by it because of the counter ability.
-
Vengeful Spirit Boulder, becomes:
Armor-Clad Vengeful Spirit, max power 95, deals 40 damage to player; most max power of any card in the game, but keep in mind its recoil.
+
+
Hatchling, eventually becomes:
Red Dragon, max power 88, ignores attribute of cards below 50; a solid card that makes a good combo with skeleton wizard, which reduces enemy power
+
+
Blue Tribe Sprite, becomes one of three:
Blue Tribe Zombie, becomes one of two:
-
Engraged Zombie, eventually becomes:
Ravenous Claws, 76 max power, 34 bloodthirsty (leech) damage; tied with Sharpshooter for second for single-hit damage (110), and also the second best healer card. It’s a keeper.
-
Revived Shaman, eventually becomes:
Spirit Ruler, 77 max power, heals for 60% enemy power on victory, not for measuring; it’s the best healer in the game, so you might want it in your deck.
+Hand Axe Warrior, eventually becomes:
-
Ruthless molten, 85 max power, 23 dov, breaks armor of cards with power 80 or lower; a whopping 108 total damage along with defense break makes this card very useful.
+Yeti Pup, eventually becomes:
-
Ice Cave Dweller, 65 max power, 26 heal, 30 defend; good for a while, but it’s pretty weak compared to a lot of other cards, so I wouldn’t suggest holding onto it forever.
+
Dew of the Dawn, becomes one of two:
Ice Spirit, eventually becomes:
-
Peak Spirit, 80 power, 35 defense, ignores attribute of level 40 cards; a solid card and decent defender.
Lake Spirit, becomes:
-
Wave Spirit, I forgot what it does because no one uses this card. Sorry.
+
Icicle Thrower, becomes one of two:
Edge Master, becomes:
-
Frozen Master, 65 max power, 3 turns of 17 bleeding damage; it’s okay, but don’t hang onto it.
Razor Claws, eventually becomes:
-
Blood-Drenched Werewolf, 74 max power, 2 turns of 30 bleeding damage; a pretty good card that does some pretty great damage
+
Green Tribe Sprite, becomes one of three:
Swamp Mushroom, becomes:
-
Wizened Swamp Mushroom, max power 40, on defeat deals 15 poison damage for 4 turns, on victory reduces enemy power by 30% next round; it’s kind of like The Untouchable.
Rock Cave Bully, eventually becomes:
-
Minotaur, again, I forgot what this one does because no one uses it, but it’s not that great.
Pan the Pharmacist, becomes:
-
Pan Chief, 50 max power, 32 heal; decent healer, but becomes useless in later levels.
+
Grass Spirit, becomes one of two:
Spring Spirit, becomes:
-
Amazon Spirit, 54 max power, 28 damage against blue; solid card for a while, but there’s a lot of better ones.
+Swamp Boulder Golem, eventually becomes:
-
Mountain Golem, 75 max power, 50 defense, 40 ignore attribute; best defender in the game with some good power to boot.
+
Skeleton, becomes one of two:
Skeleton Archer, eventually becomes:
-
Nightwalker, 78 max power, 12 turns of 6 poison damage; poison can do some great damage over time, so keep this one in your deck.
Magic Sword Skeleton, eventually becomes:
-
Magic Sword Armor, 92 max power, deals player 40 damage on defeat; this is the strongest green card, but the defeat penalty is kind of rough at first.
+
Cursed Bones, becomes:
+Skeleton Wizard, 72 max damage, on victory reduces enemy power by 50% next round; a very good card well paired with any card with ignore attribute.
*
Other tips:
*When upgrading cards, you get the best results from sacrificing the cards with the color weak against the color of the card being upgraded. Sacrifice red to blue, blue to green, and green to red.
*Don’t spend runes on packs; save them for something nice when the developers have a sale or a deal.
*Use your gold on bronze packs to upgrade your best cards. Upgrading is critical to having a good deck in this game. If there’s anything you’d like to add or correct me on, please do so.

Personally, I do not think that adding more classes is a good idea. Very few people (aside from new people yet to choose a class) would want to unlock a new class considering how many skill points would have been wasted in class-specific skills upon switching to a new one, unless skill points invested in class badges could automatically unlock those same respective badges for all classes.

Good point, so perhaps a better idea would be to unlock classes for free as you level up; for example, unlock a second class at level 25, a third class at level 50, etc.

What if we could have crew members “operate” facilities that could modify chances to get higher-tier items? Perhaps crew traits could play a major role in that. For example healers operating the vehicle bay would increase chances of dropping a Cyber-Doc, crew members with agility operating communications would increase the chance of dropping photon racer gloves, and Rylattu operating the academy would increase the chance of dropping Lork.

1) Maybe make things less random with facilities… we have tiers there, right? Sooo, if we really remake them that higher tier have better items (honestly, sometimes lowest one have better then the highest and where the point in that?) and that we raise through the tiers while waiting.
For example, Planetary defense have 1 hour time of waiting, right? So, what if we will wait for one hour, and that will be the first tier? For second, you need to wait for one more hour. For third… well, you got the idea. Makes less random things, possibly.
2) Sooo, we have a lot of useless crew members, starting from beginning. Like crank trooper, or sian guardsmen… you know, all those 1/1, 1/2 people. Yeah, they also have special place in my heart, i know that feel, people. But really, after going through all that… things with me, really, can we believe that they still the same? I think, maybe, at some point, they, at least some of them, maybe make it random thing like getting collections from missions, should upgrade to tougher units? Give ‘em a chance, i’d say, there is a possibility that they can become better!;)
3) In raids, well, it always shows all item i can get, even those that i can get only once. Like officers, or ships, or tactics. So, maybe make them also highlighted, like it is with expeditions, where i can see what i already have?

I really like that idea for upgrading units. Perhaps there could be special items for that purpose (e.g. x number of “rank tokens” or a set of BGGBPO items) that would drop through missions or raids and a section of the lab dedicated to upgrades.

To add, some possible crew upgrades:

CRANK Commando (from CRANK Trooper): 15/7 (human, meelee, strength)
Burn of the Blade: Chance for bonus damage
CRANK Troopers are cunning, lethal warriors, but only the most efficient and stealthy make the cut as CRANK Commandos. These cutthroat mercenaries are often employed for big-ticket jobs, such as assassinating corrupt politicians or staging full-on massacres, often suited with cruel energy blades and expensive cloaking devices.

Cyborg Guardian (from Sian Guardsman): 13/10 (robot, ranged, agility)
Resistance is Futile: Increases player’s attack
“It’s been a week now with these damned experiments. There’s a buzzing in the back of my head; Doc says it’ll get better. Haven’t eaten in days; Doc says the hunger will change. Wonder what the hell he meant by that…”
—Excerpt from the personal log of a participant in the Sian supersoldier project

TALOS Protector (from TALOS Shield Bot): 2/22 (robot, tank, intellect)
Impenetrable: Increases player’s defense
These robots, created in response to the ever-increasing popularity in force fields, sport TALOS’s most sophisticated shielding technology yet. Their energy shields are wide enough to protect a number of troops and strong enough to take a blast from any grenade launcher.

Crimson Warsurgeon (from Crimson Medic): 12/12 (human, healer, discipline)
Battlefield Benedict: Chance to restore health
Warsurgeons are true, dedicated soldiers. They’ve proven themselves worthy of honor by displaying courage on the battlefield through glorious assaults and incredible feats of medicine in the heat of battle. Whether behind the scalpel or the broadsword, Warsurgeons are loyal to their comrades and loyal to their blades.

Suggestion: Have a Facebook Vs Kongregate raid. Kongregate users face a raid with HP equaling the combined total HP of all facebook players.
Facebook users face a different raid (different picture, combined HP is that of all kongregate players)
We see a health bar for the counterpart-platform raid underneath the health bar for our raid, giving us an indication of how well each player base is going. First to defeat their raid wins, and both raids end. Winning side gets sweet victory hats + some loots, runner up participants can get a novelty prize.

I think that would be really one-sided. I’m pretty sure FB has had more players, and more time on the game. If people like Gruntar went all-out we could have a chance.

Unbalanced? Probably. Maybe kongregate can get some more tactic slots and a HP multiplier if its an issue, but otherwise it encourages our player base to grow and fuels some fun rivalry.

^This this this! 100% perfect lol

TOTALLY!

what would the drops be?

Helmet: Duckface
Utility: Bathroom Mirror
Trinket: Cellphone Camera

Okay, I’m just being silly, but still, it would be cool if there were some site-related drops for each raid.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Suggestions

So lately, I came up with the idea for second tier classes, which would come from the basic four classes and would hypothetically be unlocked through collected items instead of skill points. Also, any second tier classes derived from 1 class would be able to use that classes equipment as well as have their own special equipment, and any classes derived from 2 classes would be able to equip items from both. Here are my ideas:

Assassin Classes:

Reaper: +1S, +1A, +1I (total: 2S, 3A, 1I, 0W; 5/1/2 +4 crit)

Thief: +1S, +1A, +1W (total: 2S, 3A, 0I, 1W; 5/1/3 +3 crit)

Vampire: +1S, +1I, +1W (total: 2S, 2A, 1I, 1W; 4/2/3 +3 crit)

Rogue: +1A, +1I, +1W (total: 1S, 3A, 1I, 1W; 4/2/2 +4 crit)

Sentinel Classes

Marksman: +1S, +1A, +1I (total: 3S, 1A, 1I, 1W; 4/2/4 +2 crit)

Dreadknight: +1S, +1A, +1W (total: 3S, 1A, 0I, 2W; 4/2/5 +1 crit)

Paladin: +1S, +1I, +1W (total: 3S, 0A, 1I, 2W; 3/3/5 +1 crit)

Mageknight: +1A, +1I, +1W (total: 2S, 1A, 1I, 2W; 3/3/4 +2 crit)

Pyrelord Classes:

Battlemage: +1S, +1A, +1I (total: 1S, 1A, 2I, 2W; 2/4/3 +3 crit)

Scholar: +1S, +1A, +1W (total: 1S, 1A, 1I, 3W; 2/4/4 +2 crit)

Warmage: +1S, +1I, +1W (total: 1S, 0A, 2I, 3W; 1/5/4 +2 crit)

Wizard: +1A, +1I, +1W (total: 0S, 1A, 2I, 3W; 1/5/3 +3 crit)

Druid Classes

Pirate: +1S, +1A, +1I (total: 2S, 1A, 2I, 1W; 3/3/3 +3 crit)

Mageknight: +1S, +1A, +1W (see Sentinel)

Forest Guardian: +1S, +1I, +1W (total: 2S, 0A, 2I, 2W; 2/4/4 +2 crit)

Battlemage: +1A, +1I, +1W (see Pyrelord)

I’ve noticed that Soulstealer is a ridiculously overpowered card. If you don’t deplete it early in the battle, each attack has an increasing chance to be an automatic suicide, regardless of whether or not you deplete the enemy’s deck.
