SKS tactics and review
I got the SKS from the premium gun day event and haven’t had the chance to play CW again until a week later.
I’m a free player and so this is my first permanent premium gun (discounting the 1-day-fling with a Glock for contracts).
I fell in love with the SKS Carpal Tunnel Carbine.
For all its faults and quirks, I’ve never had a gun so fun to plink with.
First the cons.
The sight is annoying as heck. It’s a freaking obstacle which I live with. But if it was open-sighted like the vss, it would kick major ass.
Without a scope, it is not a sniper rifle and its mobility (while not crippling) is very slow for a rifle.
Its range is somewhat weak if you consider it a sniper.
You need to be comfortable with intermediate range combat (the range can be tricky to judge).
Very versatile. It has a kick-ass range for a rifle.
Shoots real fast and almost no kick. (if you don’t mind carpal tunnel). Gives you a fighting chance up close and personal as well.
Huge magazine. 30 shots means you don’t have to reload often.
Incredible DPS if you’re a fast clicker. 100 damage if you hit someone in the body.
Strategy which worked for me is walking fire (pretty much all you can do).
Surprisingly good at supression especially if you shoot a barrage of well aimed shots.
Follow your buddies from a short distance and pick off enemies.
Conclusion : TBH, I wouldn’t buy the gun because of the cons. If they removed the sight and upped the mobility slightly it might be worth the insane price-tag.
Anybody else have reviews and strategies to share?
