I thought there were a lot of empty entries in my miscripedia considering I had all known/confirmed crits except 2 (and the ones in CoM), so I decided to compare the ingame pedia with the one in http://www.miscrits.com/miscripedia.html and it turns out that there seems to be room already made for several crits we assume are not in the kong version.

Please note that I missed shop and arena crits in the very first weeks, and there is slight speculation on some entries, where several are possible. Topic: Miscrits / Miscrit Quality System

I guess the divide by 3 is because max score you can get with this system is 30 (elite all stats). To get a rating out of 10, you need to divide by 3.

I dont think you need to do a lot of math to conclude that 6 moderate is lower potential than 4 moderate, 2 strong.

This is the kind of item that becomes mandatory in arena. Without any intention to bash on you, it is a terrible idea for the PvP side of the game.

I wouldn’t object to it on PvE, but it reduces the demand for plat, and selling less plat means less revenue: I don’t see it happening the way you designed it.

If the potions sold for 1 plat, so for the same price you choose to heal to full after the battle, or to heal to 50% and maybe save that match… then maybe. In any case, PvE only.

On a positive note, I do like that you even thought of the color. I aprove of yellow.

Topic: Miscrits / Glitch?

The collector quests that reward platinum are not triggering the “reward pop-up” that you get with gold or miscrit missions, but as soon as you change area (or refresh in any other way) your platinum goes up. Maybe that’s what you experienced.

Definitely Dark Nessy shows up in Forest, that’s where I got mine. Only seen the one though, and I constantly grind the area where they spawn to power-level my crits.

Sparkslug is a Mt Gemma common; I find many of them around the Mountain where the elementum is. Yeah, the battles when you get something else are normally doubles, and very annoying.

Eggy is in Mt. Gemma too, but the process of looking for him is sooo dull. If considering pay areas, know that Eggy shows up rather often in Emerald Isle (4 times for me in around 2 hours of play)

yeah, trying to get a dark flue after failing misserably yesterday.

You sure regular Flue is found in Shore? None of the sites I checked for info list it there. Can anyone confirm?? Thanks in advance!

Topic: Card Monsters / 2 ideas: New game mode, and new deck sorting function

I like the second idea very much, even without the skill value filter. It would be extremely nice to sort cards by ability in adition to the filters we have now.

The first one I like the concept, but I dont see how you can make it fun with a relatively simple game mechanic such as we have.

Mtg and yugioh are much more “complicated” game systems: discard pile, turn sequence, ability interactions, etc. I’d ratther see something like a pvp game mode with deck restrictions (“decks may contain common cards only” for example, as some1 proposed)

Ooooh I like the concept.

A chance to crystal drain on every attack seems too powerful for me, though, seeing how costs seem heavily balanced around the 3 crystal/turn regen ratio.

My idea would be to make the ability so that when a creature with drain damages an opposing one that dies on that same turn, the owner of the dead creature does not get the 1 crystal you normally gain.

Kudos for your/jobester’s idea, man

I wasn’t very happy to see this =(

An armored/shielded Position 3 is already protected enough with magic not being able to target it w/o placing a mage on your own pos.3, and a 50% or 66% inherent chance of not being targetted at all by other types of attacks.

I thought the extra protection was there to make up for the fact that it activated first, potentially missing up on things like courage or pre heals before hitting against thorns/counter/reflect, and simmilar situations.

.
Can we expect the randomness of range and chance (and potentially thrash) to be changed in order to make up for this new benefit?? (As in range and chance now targetting the mob in front of them first, for example)

Does Courage now affect every creature if you plav it on your position 1?

In all honesty I kinda like the random factor in this game:

- random ranged target selection
- chance ability
- 25% to negate melee/ranged damage with armor
- 50% to counter attack after melee
- 25-50% to hit a flying creature

In my opinion, when you combine the small deck size and the combat design of the game, reducing randomness would pidgeonhole deck building even more:

If the game starts autopicking ranged targets in order to kill efficiently, medium hp cards lose value, armor becomes more desireable, and magic is again (even more) king of the board. Derandomizing ranged attacks is not the way to make it more useful. Just my 0.02$

.
Possible solutions for ranged:

a) make it hit flyers 100%

b) make it bypass shield (at least half of it, rounding up if the game can’t handle hp scores of 5, 15, 25…)

c) give ranged a built-in Break 10, so that all ranged attacks sort of “pierce” armor

I think you mean Snowblade lvl3 (not snowdrake)

About Tux Shooter I’d say it’s definitely a lvl 3 thing (10 more hp for same cost as lvl2).

Same goes for Snail Mail: lvl 3 has same cost as lvl 2 and is 10 melee 20 fortify better.


I would also add:

Uncommon: Lava Ooze lvl2-3

Rare: Cold Mistress lvl3

I’d say there are a few undervalued cards in the metagame because of lack of raw power, but still work great with access to cheaper equipment on their color:

1) Summit Witch + Blue Ebony Staff = 30hp, 40 magic, 20 heal for 5 crystals

2) Captain Cacti + Red Equilibrium = 50hp, 30 melee, 20 thorns, counter for 5 crystals

3) Slalom Emperor + Crossbow = 40 hp, 40 ranged for 5 crystals

Topic: Card Monsters / Duels: TOP 5 rewards

Hi. Can anyone please explain how they work?

I placed first in bronze league on friday (tied with another player). Can’t remember what amount was shown in the window with the daily rewards and the time remaining, but i am pretty sure it was higher than the 375 gems I got (think it was 750, but since I moved up to silver that same day, I can’t say for sure)

On sunday I placed second on silver league and got 250 (reward shown was 500).
Yesterday I placed second again on silver league, tied with some other guy, and got 200 (prize 500 again)

at first I thought it worked as a prize pot, like in golf, but the amounts just don’t add up.

Anybody has any clue whats going on there?

Hmmm I haven’t noticed this. I dont play kurteys, but my ranged seem to attack RANDOMLY at cards in my opponent’s second row. Of course this randomness sometimes leads to very ilogical “choices” but hey, that’s the thing with random…

Topic: Card Monsters / What do you think are worthwhile cards to use the first glittering EVO on?

In my opinion it depends on what other cards you have, the strategy you play with them, etc.

This said, there are quite a few uncommons worth upgrading:

Tux Shooter (yellow) becomes a 20r/30hp for 2. If you can keep him in your deck, rank 3 is 20r/40hp for 2 crystals (which is pretty nice)

Lapia is a solid choice if you can play green or want a good healer in your deck.

Other good ones to evolve are fox spider and huntress.

In general I would avoid upgrading tank cards from the uncommons. You will eventually run onto some rare that will outmatch it; the only ones I’d consider if you are desperate for a tank are Coldfoot and Triclops

well, unless you are the dev team or somehow can see the code… how do you really know what is easier to implement when you choose between putting in the limitation to one deck or the ability to multideck the same card?
