That’s exactly what happened (as I also suspected). But I’m not concerned about that, the game is made for fans of the series, and they loved it, so it’s ok.

Anyway, this is the game: Meco Kong

As an additional note, all the voices are in Spanish.

The game is a standard platformer; there is nothing obscene visually (except maybe the logo which resembles a dick), actually the style is kind of childish, but the characters happen to be very foul-mouthed.

I’m about to publish a game that contains some voice acting and occasional swearing. Does anyone know if Kongregate have policies about that? Is that allowed on Kongregate? If it is, does it require a disclaimer or optional censorship (beep)? Does anyone knows about games on Kongregate that contains swearing?

Do you mean his facial features or the facial expression?

People has complain before about the slow or floaty jump arc, I’ll fix that.

While I’m sure not many people will care about the wheel overlaping the floor, it’s good that you point that out. Fixing those minor details won’t affect the experience for those that don’t notice it anyway, but it will improve a little for those who do.

I’m considering rescale the game and make bullets and rockets a lot more faster.

I’m working on a new platform-shooter, currently is in pre-alpha stage (only the basic combat system has been coded). Before I add more features and levels I need to get some feedback. There are many things that are still to be decided, so major changes can be made according to your suggestions. I hope you can give it a try.

I’m working on a new platform-shooter, the first playable version is complete. It’s a short demo consisting in 2 small zones, 1 enemy unit and 7 fully functional weapons. It shouldn’t take you more than 2 minutes to complete it. I would like to hear some opinions before I start implementing more advanced features. If you have any thoughts about it, I really would appreciate if you could share them.

Thanks in advance.

Again, StephenShaw in not the OP. DropDeadInc is the novice asking for collaborators. ¬¬

I think there is a little confusion here. StephenShaw != DropDeadInc(OP), they just have the same avatar.

I think the programmer should do the art. In fact, I’m against the idea of teaming up to make games. You see, no one can read your mind, only you can draw what comes into your head, so if the programmer does everything, there is a pretty good chance the game will be what they imagined, if an artist does it, well, the game will be much different.

Are you saying that the games on your profile are exactly what you had in mind?

You don’t need to make the graphics for the game to look as you want, you just need a good designer and communication skills.

@alexolsenpang, quality is ok, but I need to see how you do with vectorial graphics.

I actually need graphics for the all the environment, not just backgrounds. I prefer smaller separated elements (trees, rocks, mountains, etc.) that I can use to create them. I haven’t decided a specific number yet. I would like to see some samples before going into details.

I’m looking for a graphic designer for the completion of a game I abandon about 2 years ago. I specifically need someone that can make backgrounds, effects (explosions, fire, smoke, etc.) and environmental elements. They have to match the style of the graphics I already made.

I have everything else covered, I’m willing to pay up front, or share the earnings.

Here is a video of the game

I’ll be receiving offers for a week or two before deciding for someone.

You don’t need to worry about interactivity; the programmer is in charge of that, he should tell you what elements are needed for the GUI/HUD to work properly.

The samples you show are great for conceptual art, loading screens, covers, cutscenes, etc.; a big team (more than 3 people) could use you just for that, but there aren’t many out there, and is not likely that you find one working on a game with the concepts that you like.

You obviously have better chances to work on a game with your own concept if you are able to do all the graphic content. With your skills that shouldn’t be a problem.

If you can make some sketches of in-game elements (characters, buildings, backgrounds, items) it would help a lot. Flash games graphics tends to be simplistic; you shouldn’t worry too much about details.

“Idea people” typically never read other threads, not even stickies. Don’t expect this to have any impact on them.

Don’t expect people notice those subtle differences. Some people can’t tell the difference from the zombies from my game and the ones from Plants versus Zombies, they say they are exactly the same and that I should be concerned about the blatant copyright infringements. I must add that I did use buckets, cones and even a very similar football helmet for the last boss. It was obviously a parody, but some people are just too stupid to notice. Sometimes people only see what they want to see.
