Tokyo Ghoul Root A was alright.
Death Parade was okay.

Here comes the new seasons.

Highschool DxD has just become so ecchi but I don’t want to stop watching the series. I seriously am enjoying the plot and the fan-service on the side is nice.

Get ready fellas, the new season is coming in!

Pre-millenium anime certainly had an interesting art style, although I myself find it interesting. Worst art is probably from 2004-2009, like School Days, Myself; Yourself, etc. It just looks cheap.

I love the art of today. Katanagatari, Fate series, and Steins;Gate all have beautiful art to them. Lots of other styles that look good too and match their atmosphere like Sword Art Online and Attack on Titan. I liked Clannad and Haruhi but the characters looked a bit derpy.

How come? Is it because of the arts style, the difference in fan service the slice of life setting, clichés, or…?

Probably the art style and slice of life. Cliches can get a bit annoying but I appreciate the lack of fan service. (Though moderate fan service goes far)

It was terrible. Invasion of the generic harem anime. Harem anime everywhere.

Then there’s Rolling Girls, which I get the vibe is trying to be Kill La Kill and failing. For some reason I find that one the most annoying of them all.

Maybe next season will be better. I’m excited for more Fate Stay Night, Highschool DxD, and Nisekoi.

This season of anime I started watching about 12 different ones. I’m now down to two. This has got to be a record.

This winter season was really bad in my opinion. I am still watching Tokyo Ghoul Root A and Death Parade.

Tokyo Ghoul 2nd season is a bit slow and boring but still worth watching.

Death Parade has been fun so far.

So apparently my favorite manga Onepunch-Man is getting an anime adaption! This has the potential to be amazingly awesome. The original writer will be helping a lot with it, so that combined with good voice actors ought to be great.

That’d make sense, since Robotics;Notes is part of a trio of Visual Novels which include Steins;Gate.

Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate, and Robotics;Notes all take place in the same universe. I didn’t notice much references of Chaos;Head in Steins;Gate, but Robotics;Notes has (a bit spoiler ahead: 2 characters from Steins;Gate in it that you meet.)

Hello fellow anime fans.

Anyone who watches / knows about the following anime they’d like to discuss? (You know, I haven’t bothered reading the thread).

  • Tokyo Ghoul Root A – My opinion: Terribad compared to the first season. Damn. The amount of wtf compared to the manga this anime has, it’s almost

  • As bad as Akame Ga Kill, which decided mid season to go COMPLETELY OFF story wise. What the hell? The manga is still going, Anime is done?

  • Also liking Log Horizon, tho it’s a bit stale at moments. Boring, almost. I’d rather enjoy some ecchi DxD or IS.

  • Last but not least, Death Parade. I almost feel like the studio behind Death Note had made this sick anime. It’s cool but also damn cruel ._.

  • I’ve seen all of those but have not read the mangas to any.

Tokyo Ghoul Root A – A lot of people upset with this, I think it’s ok so far. A bit less emotional than the last season though, it is still decent.

Akame Ga Kill – I’ve always heard of people being upset because of how it went away from the manga, but I thought this anime was well done with including comedy and an atmosphere of darkness.

Log Horizon – 1st season was not too bad, but it became slice of life. I dropped the second season after about episode 18, I just got bored with it.

Death Parade – LOVING this! The art is pretty, really like the opening. It makes me think every episode of what I’d do with the person and I always end up changing once I learn the whole story about them. It’s nice thought provoking anime with some feel good and feel bad moments.

I really can’t decide between Minerva and Vulcan. They both look well…pretty moe lol.

Twas a great show. Chihiro definitely should have been with him.

So I’ve been watching anime with my friend and he’s really digging it. Over the course of this month we’ve watched Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and now we’re currently watching No Game No Life.

Real bad? Why do you say so? I’m enjoying this new season.

For me, at least, this season has incredibly poor pacing, little emotional impact, and generally not enough suspense to retain my interest.

    It ain’t over yet!

Me personally? I’ve only read a few manga but I did read Attack on Titan manga because of how long the wait is for next season. Like Endless said, it feels nice to go at whatever pace you want to go at.

I’ve noticed this though; when I watch currently airing shows I am ok if the show isn’t so good, since I am only watching once a week.

Kill la Kill was actually excellently done with the dub, I was very impressed. Baccano! usually gets thrown around when talking about good dubs.

Ugh, I hate when the male characters are like that. It’s not funny, it’s not interesting, and it reminds me of Green Green. The females characters aren’t much better. This is going to be a rare time when I watch the sub when the dub is available. The dub of the first episode is just awful.

I’ll still finish it, but I can already see where this is going. After the first episode, the only reason i can see for it’s high rating is nudity.

    But the plot bro!

I’m surprised I’m still watching Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo even now at episode 19. It totally doesn’t seem like my type but for some reason I’m still watching it!

Ya ever had an anime that you totally thought you’d dislike but instead you loved it?

Dangit. So I’ve gotten into manga. Problem is: I’ve caught up on OnePunch-Man and Shingeki No Kyojin so I have to wait so long just for another chapter to be released!

Although I have not seen many Miyazaki movies, he is certainly very famous. In the western world he is pretty famous as well.
