actually i enjoy grinding…..not sure why but i love to grind.

and your opinion of the game should not be in the topic title…..

9 out of 10. really good game. i enjoyed playing it for a while but am not going for the badges…..flash games just don’t interest me like they use to.

Freedom doesn’t allow you to impinge upon others. You have your freedom of speech, others have the right to not have a public disturbance.

not that a simple advertisement is a disturbance, BUT if this book managed to inspire others to start some kind of disturbance THEN there would be a problem.

In the same way as the adverts can contain anything they like, within the common decency laws, it is also your right not to view them if you do not wish to. Thus, what is the argument?

but its not decent. if this were something i cared about it would bother me to no end that someone out there in the world is pushing a book to convince others to destroy my religion. this is just another example of how some freedoms are used to challenge other peoples freedoms.

so if some guy can convince others to rebel against another religion then could i write a book about revolting against the US? no. i can’t. i mean, i could write the book i guess, but once people start seeing advertisments on them and the existance of the book is public knowledge the next thing you know you’ll see the news media trashing it and then, POOF! book is banned from stores.

ever heard of the anarchist cookbook? well, you shouldn’t have heard about it. you’ll never find it in a store.

found an add from amazon about a book titled dismantle christianity……why am i finding adds like that? doesn’t anyone get the feeling that advertising the destruction of a religion is against other peoples religious freedom? as a non-practicing catholic i find this funny, but not everyone is going to feel that way.

Topic: Serious Discussion / "Under God" finally upheld

this is just a random thought……i am in a topic about religious freedom and whatnot…..and yet at the top of the page there is an ad about a book titled " dismantle christianity "……thats just too hillarious. i’d be offended if it meant anything to me, but it doesn’t. just like the pledge shouldn’t be such a controversial thing. it’s a matter of choice. if your offended remove yourself from the equation and don’t say the pledge at all. end of story. i hope this issue never enters the courts ever again. it’s stupid.

I never got people who are offended by the phrase “under God” as the phrase itself is so vague, it can refer to most any theistic religion and in the case of atheistic religions, according to their own beliefs there is no God, so why take offense to a statement that they think is inherently meaningless? It all just feels like argument for argument’s sake.

thank you. you said it for me.

derivative. i only mentioned jesus because he is the only god i am familiar with.

bomgcog. i don’t know where to begin….. your post simply confuses me. but i will say this. when i said " something " i didn’t mean a deity or anything. just something, anything. just because they don’t believe in god that doesn’t mean we’ve been saying the pledge the wrong way the whole time.

and um…..something so simple as " under god " makes you question your own beliefs, but your not an atheist? so then just a general question…..what do you beleive? because right now it looks like you beleive that our nation is suppose to protect us from religion or something.

it says under " god "……not jesus or anything……i mean, even an a atheist needs to believe in something.

besides, i respected the flag of my country…..but hardly ever said the pledge. they can’t force you to say it. likewise with taking parts out. if we wish say the pledge in the name of god thats our choice.

my opinion is this. if they are truly going to take it out they must teach them how to say it the correct way at least one time…..i mean it’s been the same way forever. it’s practically a piece of history.

sometimes the freedom of speech is used to harass, put down others for their beliefs, oppress the minorities or otherwise harm other people through words as well as non-physical but still hostile actions.

Topic: Serious Discussion / A little poll I'd like to do

i agree. this is kind of a pointless poll……which i’ll answer anyway, in my own fashion.

1: both have it’s own flaws and consequences. authoritarianism would work IF it were controlled and not corrupt but corruption is simply a must with that kind of government/rule. libertarianism is a lack of corruption at the cost of solid direction. by direction i mean a singal goal that one wishes to accomplish. under libertarianism there would be more people with more diverse ideals throwing their opinions around so in the end it takes a long time to get anything done. my pick: libertarianism.

2: eh you know there are plenty of people in the world who think some conspiracy theories are not even theories. they think that it actually is happening, so it’s difficult to answer this aside from yes or no. my vote: yes, if conspiracy=corruption, because that goes on in every government.

3: don’t know or care

4: by asking that question your giving me the assumption you have some sort of confidence issue or don’t know who you really are. thats my answer. i hope i’m wrong for your sake.

5: democracy, only democracy. no other alternative but democracy. cannot even compare a differrent government style to it. monarchy is only good if it’s a consitutional one where peoples rights are written in stone, but still one select person would have too much power. this may sound stupid, but i don’t even know what oligarchy is. either way it must be better than anarchy. do you even know what anarchy is??? how can you take anarchy over democracy O.o?

Topic: Serious Discussion / Can U.S. win wars??? Iraq, Japan...

yes yes i know. keeping the union together was more important to them than protecting slaves. but that isn’t what i was getting at. the point was we won the war with no help at all because we were better.

and what about the RAF? what is their kill/death ratio against their enemies? from what i heard on the history channel our ratio was like 10/1 or something like that. ( maybe12/1. i don’t remember. it was above 10 though which i thought was impressive ) that is, untill the invention of the homing missle. it dropped to like 4/1.

not to say that we are the best at everything and anything. i am sure every country has some aspect of combat and life they excel in.

is that because i was bashing a forum goer?……i suppose i deserve that for generalizing someone.

still this topic is stupid and we should all move on.

to quote someguyinworld. the thread is made of fail, war doesn’t bring profit, and for every gain there is a loss somewhere. if anything it cost us money, not made us money.

Topic: Serious Discussion / Can U.S. win wars??? Iraq, Japan...

to answer the first question, can US win wars, you should first look too our first two wars. the ones that mattered to begin with. before tanks and missles were a factor. back in the day when wars were won through more complicated tactics.

we were winning the defenceive portion of the war of idependance. perhaps not at first, but then again america back then was much like iraq today. by that i mean we were just a bunch of rogues. we were not even a nation or in any way unified. we beat the british practically without an army. in order to gain frances help, which was only at the end of the war, we first had to prove to them we could hold our own. so don’t say they won it for us. we were determined to oppose brittish rule. ( JIHAD!!!!!! )

and the civil war is almost an unfair comparison. we literally stomped them. the only thing they had was cotton…..we had more of everything else you can think of. from people to resources. ( besides slaves of course ). the south in those days was against many basic human rights. any real american would oppose such thinking. we came to this country to be free, not to ensslave and conquer ( um, except for the indians…..yeah…..they kinda dropped the ball on that one…..) thats why we won. not just because the north was better, but because i think god wanted us to win. ( a stupid thing for someone who doesn’t even beleive in god to say ). the south would have possibly gained the support of briton if they weren’t extremeists/slavers/rebels…..like that would have mattered. we already beat them too :P

these newer generation wars are won through pulling triggers and pushing buttons. nothing more. and of course we even do better at that. though i think russia and germany may have better marksmen but thats about it. snipers don’t win wars. our pilots are the best in the world. always have been. we use to be a lot better then we are today, but the invention of the homing missle changed the casualty count. probably because our boys are too use to not having to do too many airial manuvers like in the old days.

Topic: Sonny 2 / RPG or defence?....

i’ve compained about this before in other topics, might as well post it somewhere more appropriate…..sonny and sonny 2 are in completely seperate topics. one in strategy/defence, the other in RPG/adventure. however, they are pretty much the same exact type of game.

anyone know why? all i ask is for a logical reason for this…..and yes the simple things in life do piss me off, such as a game series in two different topics.

i would have to agree with anyone and everyone who says we don’t owe hitler a damn thing, and he was wrong for what he did, and everything else that he failed to do that he could have done to make his country a better place without having to harm others, and that he deserves whatever fate god gave him, and…….well i could keep going but i’ll leave it at that.

Topic: Kongregate / Suggestions

so if this isn’t a suggestion forum for the site, and only on how its run, then where would one go to suggest something?…..well either way it doesn’t matter.

my suggestion is kinda based on how the site is run. i’ve seen a lot of games in the wrong places. i don’t wanna be a prick, but i must. do a better job of sorting the games in the right topics. i still see that, despite a previous complaint a while back, sonny is in strategy/defence and sonny 2 is in RPG/action. and for pity sake why am i looking at the several journeys of reemus right next to heros arms? they are absolutely nothing alike. in fact the several journeys of reemus is one of those games where you click around the environment untill you find what your looking for. this isn’t an adventure game……not sure what to call it really.
