Create statistics in your game settings menu, have players stats be uploaded using Kongregate’s API, afterwards one of the admins will decide if your game should get badges or not.

Your game must have at least 3.7 rating to be badged there’s exceptions though

I’ll be using the code found here for map generation, is that acceptable?

Still unsure of what I’ll be doing o.0 gonna make a bit of random stuff and see where it leads to however I’ve decided on the name, not going to tell though :D

Halysia’s idea would be what I’d go for if I were any good at graphical stuff, love the old school colours idea!

Heynong’s FPS idea reminds me of XCOM for some reason o.0

I wonder if this example is ok to do: Debuff which lowers enemy defense by 5% ? It’s affecting the allocated stats but not exactly allocating anything. If yes then anything that causes a stat to be raised OR lowered will do for “allocation”.

A stat is whatever ya want. Farm of Souls had Life, Sight, Land and Speed for stats. The sims have skills like cooking, astronomy as stats. You can go wild on this one and make a game where DRK and JG are stats growing to doom us all.

I’m gonna start late again, not sure if I’ll have time to finish >.< this time I’ll go with Unity and I’ve chosen my aliens (secret for now :D).

Funny enough, “Growth” can have lots of meanings, a character story developing by itself it growth. Upgrading a battleship.

Great example for JG semi-plagiarised theme is Rogue Legacy you grow by advancing in the world, upgrading, having children so you can keep on advancing the world. While having multiple trees! Your family lineage and the upgrade tree.

No need to take a theme literally, you can always find a way to do what you want by playing with the idea either by making it a minimalistic thing or twisting the meaning

I haven’t read anything at all anyone has said so far, been a bit busy but want to get my votes and feedback in! Also thank you to everyone who gave feedback on my game, I’ll read it up when I can

Venture Punk
I was impressed by the story style, looked very original and quite interesting with the way it was laid out. Not sure where you want to take the game to but it got me tingling to go play some Deus Ex

Halysia
Gorgeous graphics! Simple but very attractive. The gameplay is quite interesting, gives me the feeling that I’m preparing my soldiers to send into battle and I want the best! The only thing I don’t enjoy too much right now is the slow stepping of my soldier. Lots of potential!

The Doorman
This looks like it could go into some quite funny gameplay mixed between your humour and your talented artstyle. Wish I could see the hide body animation and if ya click on the Z with mouse the doorman will walk up the wall :)

Nice GUI, the input box could be slightly easier to find (I’m dumb so it took me a while to figure out how to type!) I managed to find the first password but text got a bit weird afterwards and it seemed like it didn’t advance forward. Could get something good from this!

Has a few bugs I’m aware of and much imbalanced, haven’t tested at all :)
Will keep working on it, it’s going places I like! Not ready for kong yet though, still needs lots of love and math!

A single fusion cell costs 800b with quite high heat, better stick to thermo for a while :D

My super incomplete and buggy entry, got too tired to keep up with the bugs, they just kept coming!

Also didn’t have time to do the voice acting which was what would make the game extra entertaining, I keep making the mistake of doing mechanics instead of content.
It was super fun to participate 10/10 would do again tomorrow.

I found it useful to add this function to the List class since sometimes you’d update the value of an item and it’d not update

    invalidate();
    makeListItems();
    fillItems();
}

Overriding the toString of the item you want to display on the List can be quite useful to avoid having 2 arrays

Although it mentions a theme there isn’t actually one, just make something fun, if it brings a laugh even better.

Rules are simple:
- You have 72 hours to make a game
- You can use any code/libraries/tools you have
- All assets must be done within the 72 hours (includes levels, graphics, sound)

The language you use to make a game doesn’t really matter as long as it allows you to do what you want.
The most common platforms for games on Kong are Flash, Unity3D and HTML5 , all three can be easily uploaded and have Kong API attached to them.
