Topic: Aviator / 24 hour market refresh too long

Markets could be paired with Depot “missions” for instance.

As an example, if the Luanda Market is fully depleted, you could pick up supplies from the Depot in Lagos and depending on how many you bring back to Luanda, the Market would replenish. 1% per crate could already make a huge difference.

And since we’re on the topic, it might be nice to have your journal show which goods are available for sale on which location

Topic: General Gaming / Balloon Invasion help?

A trick to beating the first boss:
At the beginning, start off by putting points in Airstrike (max it) and Winged Bombs. As you gain new points defeating Maps 1-5, fill up Winged Bombs and then Balloon Blast Score Gain, after that I picked Tripple Cannon and Start with More Score.

Doing this, you can use Airstrike (and Winged Bombs) to clear up the levels for you without firing a single shot… try and get at least 1 shot in that hits something (gets you 2 medals). You’ll probably need to replay a few maps to make sure you achieve the 5star ratings, but you should be able to unlock the extra map by Map 5 and scoring a 5star rating there gets you to L10.

The Boss Map (6) you can do about the same as any other map, use Airstrikes and Winged Bombs mainly. Except where you would otherwise use a Triple Canon (or 3 maybe?) as backup, you should build a lot of them here. The Boss himself appears to have a limited ammo capacity, he nuked 5 of my canons and then stopped dropping, so then he leaked through and came around for a second time but with just 10% HPs left, which was low enough to make mincemeat out of with my Winged Bombs.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Need help (K9, And m9) :(

If you haven’t already, put some points in Wildgem and sell that at the start of your level, unlock Bloodbound (Red) Gem, cause it will be pretty helpful at those levels, also…tick Armored Only for the level, it’s actually easier (no Swarm monsters!)
Also, make sure you make a bit of a path for the monsters to follow (Especially K9 needs a bit of pathing).
Also, you can use a slowing gem in a trap and give your tower more time to kill the monsters.
And definitely, if you have mana to spare, Amplifyers can make your towers really powerful.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Anyone need help?

Trust me, turning off autoextend makes a world of difference.
By the time you’ve got a 450M manapool, chances are your manafarm will fill up your manapool with just 1 hit (with mana to spare), so turning it off will give you a full manapool to duplicate your G22s each time. Since it’ll be firing so rapidly, you can make that fullsheet in 1 or 2 seconds flat (depending on how much lag you’ve got of course)… If I’m not mistaken, you need 15 fullsheets, so most of the time will actually go to combining the gems (thank god for Shift + G), but even then, you can have your G30 in a minute or 2 ;)

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Anyone need help?

Actually, by the time you have a manapool big enough to duplicate G22 gems, you can create m fast enough (well, almost as fast as with a Shift+Click) if you turn off autoextend manapool.
I just hover over a G22 I have set away in an Amp and due to my manafarm, my gem pool will fill up in less than 2 seconds, just make sure you don’t have anything that lags your game too much, as Gremlion said, turn off infopanels and not having any monsters on screen helps a LOT.

Personally, I add in a goodly amount of Yellow in my Manafarm, so they act as killgems at the same time. Sure, I lose out on manafarm effectiveness, but the amount of lag it prevents makes it worth it in terms of Real Time for me (I play on a moderately aged laptop).
Basically, after G16 (that’s when I need a fullsheet of G11s to upgrade the next), I use 3 Yellow gems, 6 Lime Gems (until the gem hits around 200-300 targets ~around G24 or 25 or so) and the rest is Orange… Once I reach the 2-300 hits, I just replace Lime with more Orange until it drops to where I want to add more Lime again.
It takes me about 80 Waves to get my main Kill Gem up to where it can finish all Waves, but I’d rather be there at W80 with an hour or and hour and a half invested, than have it ready by Wave 40, but with 3 hours of playtime invested…

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Anyone need help?

I wouldn’t start meddling with WGTF til you’re L800 or something. Before that though, you should be able to tap just about any other difficulty setting (save maybe Shadow Clash)

Personally, I start with a L7 L/Y/O gem in a tower and no amps yet. Use any and all remaining mana to summon the first few waves (keep in mind how much your gem can handle! 200-700 damage and 100% chance of double damage means I summon until roughly 1000-1500 HPs depending on Armor).

Once I’ve got a couple waves summoned (but not yet arrived), I’ll start working on Amps and filling them. After that, I alternate between summoning more waves and upgrading my tower gem until about G12 or so with G-3 Gems in the Amps (keep track of when you get there, if it’s around Wave 20, you can take on the Shadow next time around). Once I’ve got that set up, I can easily drop 9 G4 or 5 gems on the waves for summoning and rely on my tower to destroy them quite easily, so then I can start to set up the manafarm(s). As soon as my manafarms can handle the incoming flow, I drop my Killgem from the tower into a trap on a spot where it can pick off anything that might make it past the farm(s).

After that, it’s just a matter of steadily summoning and upgrading your manafarm and Killgem.
Typically, you should have a set up capable of deating the last waves around Wave 80, maybe a little later for WGTF.

If you’re not sure how, browse around a bit, Gremlion has posted a few links of very helpful videos on Youtube.

At L1400, you should easily be able to tap WGTF… with the proper skills allocations and a bit of planned summoning, you can have your kill gem (G31+G27/G28 amps) set up comfortably before Wave 100… experts will probably get it up near Wave 60 even

CAN be done in an hour or less, not WILL be done in an hour or less.

You can choose not to go for that epic overkill gem and close down all other programs.

I play this on a pretty old laptop and I can typically finish an endurance battle in an hour or so. Then again, if I have to do the laundry and dishes in the meantime, it’ll take a while longer.

If you choose to do more than necessary to finish the endurance level, you should expect it will take longer.

Start a level with low base exp and yellow gem.
Put most skill points in whatever gives you more mana. Rest in yellow mastery(if can)
Use all settings maxed(Yes,endurance) except for 10x hp.(use 3x)
Start with a G4.
Make more. When armor begins to get unhandable, make them all g5’s. If you get far enough to,you may need them to be g6. It gets me 15k on most levels and got me 30k on first.

Helps with getting to endurances.(Don’t summon while you do it.)

  • No amps.
    Wow,cool formatting.
Say how far you get. And how much EXP.

Actually, pre Wild Gem, Id bet on Bloodbound gems for the most part.
You wont have too much mana to throw around when starting the level, but on any level (still Pre WG) that starts with a Bloodbound Gem, you can pretty safely tick Armored Only.
You should ALWAYS tick Banished Monsters Heal and Increased Banishment Cost. The Faster Monsters box should always be ticked if you’re going vs Armored or Giant only mobs.
Adding extra waves is usually also a nice way of earning some “free” XP.
After a couple levels of Bloodbound Mastery, you can add in extra mobs per wave as well, but Id let the HP modifier alone, to keep things manageable.

edit Also, a couple levels in, if you’ve gotten a bit more starting mana and can unlock Bloodbound Gem and then still create a Tower and a G3 (minimum, preferably G4) gem, you can just go for Armored Only anytime.

With these settings, you can get to Pylon 1 in a pretty good shape.

2000-2000 Per Hit

ah, that’s exactly what I was after, thanks Alt

But what about the Sword stat itself? Does it come near Quickness or even Strength?
As I understand it, the closer it is to your level (capping at Swordlvl = lvl), the more damage you do.

Topic: Dream World / Official Suggestions Thread

Well, since the bug with using items from inventory has been resolved, how about a new feature like Dual Wield…

It would have a couple restrictions:
-Total attack power will be the average of the 2 weapons wielded
-Bonuses like Scoped, Enchanted and Guardian’s are only counted on the Main Hand weapon
-no dualwielding same tier weapons. Off Hand weapon must be lower tier than MH weapon
- (optional) Upper tier (Greater / Battle weapons) are counted as 2-handed and are not Dualwieldable

As a perk you’d gain the ability to use the skills associated with the OH weapon without losing a battle turn.

Topic: Dream World / Weekly Gem Lottery

How about just keeping it simple:
1 ticket per person at the cost of 1.000.000 coins (yes, 1 million)

1st prize: 5 gems
2nd prize: 3 gems
3rd prize: 1 gem

That way, it doesn’t cost too much, though the prize and rewards prohibitive enough to keep an alt rush at bay.

You could do a weekly draw, or maybe scale down the rewards a bit (3, 2 and 1 gem) if you want to do a daily draw.

I think the quest called Extra Credit gives that ring (Kill Gambler 5x, then kill Dust Chick 5x)

Topic: Dream World / rings?

that aside, the only ring worth keeping is the energy one as it will give you extra energy.
Later on you’ll get even better rings for that, but until you’ve finished the game (L51), the energy ring is the best

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Intermediate Guide?

Always, ALWAYS take the banishment penalties, no matter if you’re going endurance or not. You’re aiming for that battle amulet anyway, so that’s free XP right there. Also, for endurance, I think All Giants is maybe the second easiest setting (after Armored Only).

At L68, just get your Wild Gem going and do some regular levels (new levels) with double HP and double or tripple monsters (Armored Only) and add in those banishment multipliers and take the extra waves as well. Dont bother with a manafarm with those kinds of levels, just get your killgem up to L9 and try and get as many battle amulets as you can while finishing that level.

Topic: GemCraft Labyrinth / Easy strategy

Well, Red gems really are great gems to have after the first pylon level and continues to be great up to the third pylon level (roughly). After that, Yellow and Lime combinations take over, but with Red having worked so well, it’s pretty easy to miss that.

Upgrading your manapool is necessary for 2 things:

Firstly, you need the mana to effectively create gems. In the end, gems will cost (hundreds of )millions of mana to create. You wont be able to do this (and still have fun :P) with a 100K manapool

Secondly, everytime you manapool, monster kills (and hits from Orange gems) gain 5% extra mana per kill (or hit)

Dual L/O works just fine for a manafarm. Tripple L/O/X works even better though.
Also, make sure you pick up the Wild Gem and sell it at the start of the level – its a great boost in starting mana

Also, dont try and start Wave 1 with a manafarm up and running. It’s better to start wave 1 with a L6 or 7 tower, possibly with an amplifier and summon monster on wave 1 while keeping an eye on their increased armor and HP and the max damage your gem can output. With Giants only, this will give you a nice amount of mana to upgrade and expand your tower setup.

As soon as you can start to create G7 gems comfortably, start to work on your manafarm

Gremlion’s video’s on youtube have tonnes of useful info, but he is around level 3000 there, so you wont be able to repeat that performance just yet, scale things down to your own level.

Yeah, you’ll definitely want a manafarm for that. Personally, I keep upgrading those killertraps and start squishing out Red entirely and Lime to an acceptable level. After grade 15, your base damage doesnt really need the bloodbound bonus anymore and by the time they’re G30ish, you can drop m in your tower and be done.
