Round 2:
1 gifts to 3, 3 gifts to 2, 2 gifts to 1. All acknowledge Santas.
Ta-daa! We just got through 2 rounds without any chance of getting eliminated. The bigger the conspiracy, the bigger the “safe zone” is.
That’s just it though, there can only be one winner, while you can do that to survive a few rounds, you’d not only be taking the risk of being betrayed but also eliminating your “safe bets” from being used later. Also, if other players noticed it they could lie and claim that one of the members of said conspiracy sent them the gift and destroy it before it even lived to its fullest potential.

Wouldn’t it be in my interest to not say anything at all, and thus eliminate my competitors?
You have to gift.
I don’t mean not gifting. I mean not acknowledging anyone as my Santa.
Also, why couldn’t me and another guy set up an alliance and gift to each other every turn and acknowledge each other as their Santas every turn?
Rule 7 + 8 is for you. I knew I’d forgotten something.

Question: How do you save someone?
By seeing the people left over towards the end of a round that don’t have anyone vouching for them, you put their name as your Santa. Of course if you do this too early you risk betraying them too- along with your real Santa.

[Contest] Not So Secret Santa [Contest]
Alright! This is my first FGF game! Hope you all like it.
A Gift Worth Giving
The object of this game is to gift the people you trust once per round, in the form of ASCII art which I will provide you. To pass each round you must have the person you sent the present to post in this thread to confirm that you did indeed send it to them. If the person you gift or another person lies to save someone else or to eliminate you, you are eliminated, unless someone saves you. The longer you wait to send a gift or state your Santa, the harder it will be to pass the round.
Rules
1. You cannot gift multiple people per round.
2. You must gift to other contestants.
3. You cannot gift yourself.
4. Only posts by the recipient of your gift will count as proof.
5. You cannot be part of a group with the same Santa more than once.
6. You must gift once per round.
7. You must receive a gift.
8. No Santa can gift the same person twice.
The penalty for breaking any of these will result in immediate termination. Feel free to lie and cheat as much as you want so long as you stay within the rules. The winner will be the person to survive each round, remember; every time you lie you are risking one more enemy in a later round. Good luck!

The spreadsheet said when the round would end; why didn’t you check it? And if you did, wouldn’t it be better to stay on the safe side and assume the round ended at the earlier of two times so you’d have less of a chance to go out because you delayed playing?
The spreadsheet was showing the old deadline until recently.
Yeah, after the shit support I got for asking that my score, proven to have been made before a deadline, be counted I doubt you’re going to get anywhere complaining about not posting a better score before the round end. I’m not being a dick but if I can’t get a grace period for a score I already had I doubt anyone will for scores they didn’t get :P

I’m fine with the game, the importance of kills is somewhat extreme but like Blizz said, under 330 should be perfectly fine. Also, you’ll see that none of my scores are in the highscore board at all, even though I have the best >:I, but I made a video of my last submission’s death screen showing a fully functioning game screen, time, etc. If you need that let me know and I’ll link to it. But yeah, I vote for the game to stay with under 330 kills counting, no extension.

So many nubs here, y u worry about kills so much?! Also, my “highest” was a result of trying out the exploit in case the impossibru happened, i.e. hip accepting exploit runs. Not my last submission mind you- the highest score on this screenshot.

I like untouchable. It’s a fun game but it’s too easy to exploit the scoring system. There are lots of points where you can farm for enemies and that just takes all the fun away.
I’d rather play something more appropriate for the semi-finals. A game without an easily exploitable scoring system.
I’d much prefer simply limiting the amount of kills you can have for an acceptable score to 350, or maybe even less.
There are other ways to exploit the game, besides killing lots of enemies. I’m sure you guys have noticed that the score still tallies when the boss is in it’s immunity stage.
You could potentially grind out an incredible score by shooting the boss when it’s invulnerable. That wouldn’t have any affect on the total number of enemies you killed.
Hey, there really aren’t any other areas in the game except possibly ONE that on my second run I tested with no results. Like Blizz said, 360 or 350 kills max sounds like a great limit to set because the marginal score difference at that level won’t make a single difference at all, especially since you aren’t necessarily exploiting the final boss clones for fear of reaching the kill limit before the boss and the fact they’d eat up your kills. So 350 sounds like a good min to me, especially since I didn’t use the exploit on it <:P

Hey man, enough posting- get to scoring! lol and True enough about the exploit, I was just hoping this game stays the same and hip uses Blizz’s suggestion. So long as it’s under 360 kills I doubt anyone will complain.
