When a point is brought up the reaction is a bit childish and dodgy, resulting in an even worse reaction from “the other side”.
As said before we are all in this community and i think that instead of blaming eachother (or trying to get the other out of the game/change playing style) we should bring up discussions here on how to better educate the community or how we can all work together better.

Btw 50% of the hate is caused by bad info mostly gotten from some1 else. i would encourage every1 who is against farmgroups to atleast join 1 sometimes to see how it really works. same for ppl against RC, atleast try it out. This might not change your views on the subject, but atleast in a discussion you know what you are talking about and might have some respect for “the other side”

Also try to switch a bit in the rooms to see different aspects… really some things i’ve seen when going through the rooms were hilarious and just plain ashaming…

But all kidding aside, excellent points. We’re all part of this community, and even if some of us don’t like each other we still have to coexist. Better that be done in a peaceful manner, rather than a flame war.

I’ve had reservations about the RC since I first heard about it, but I for one will give it a try for a week or so and see what it’s like. It’s something I’ve been considering already, just been too lazy to actually do it.

Topic: Dawn of the Dragons / Raids Bot

Remember wpatter’s thread from October, in which his rallying cry was “FREE THE RAIDS!”?

This bot does just that. Without playing favorites. Simple broadcasting to the rooms that have enabled receiving. No advantages to any person or group over another, unlike other listeners that are known to exist.

With this bot, people no longer have to shuffle around chat rooms to try to find something they want to hit, worrying that by changing to room X they might miss something posted in room Y that they’re looking for.

I’d like to thank PD for the huge effort he put forth in getting this bot going, so that EVERYONE who plays this game has much better opportunities in finding the raids they need/want without having to spend more time running around looking for them or waiting for them to perhaps appear in a pastebin than they do hitting them.

Options to customize your Kong home screen would be nice. I’d rather see my favorites than the activity feed. To quickly get to the one game I currently play the most, I have to use the search box.

I’m a newcomer as well — here’s what I’ve been doing.

1 – Vault: For items, I’ve been balancing dmg/protection of the item vs. value vs. rarity. Generally, if something is worth under 5 million, I sell it. I’ve put quite a few items (including a couple of really high value items — 11m+) in the vault, and one for sure was sold for guild improvements, which is perfectly fine. I assume that if something gets taken from the vault, it’s going to have one of two purposes: 1) be a useful item for a guild mate, or 2) be sold for improvements. As far as money is concerned, I’ve been making sure that I have a couple fairy dusts on hand, then splitting my coinage between guild improvements and con for myself, so a large amount of my earnings do wind up getting donated.

2 – Diplomacy: I personally don’t care if we’re “at war” with another guild, although I’ve benefited from fighting NetWars. What I’d like to know is if there is a reason we’re friendly with 2 other guilds? Obviously the diplomacy status for them discourages us from fighting, which is what it’s meant to do…there’s no incentive for 75% experience. I’m just wondering if there’s a history between us and them, or are they just randomly friendly?

3 – Leadership: I have no info and no opinion regarding this. I haven’t been hanging around long enough to take note of who’s on at what time. I do see that we’ve dropped a few places in the rankings, however it’s not something that bothers me. If there is a benefit to being a top-ranked guild other than bragging rights, I’m unaware of it.

All that being said, if there are any specific guidelines we should be following, please make them known to us. :)
