Topic: Serious Discussion / Racism in Schools I live in england, and go to school with 1/3 of the pupils being asian. the racism i see is mainly against the cowering white kids, as groups of upto 30 asians surround them. not to use sterotypes, but they al seem rather violent, and the school has seen about 5 cases of extreme violence towards teachers from asians. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Sex at an early age? Hey, i live in england, and everyone is more than ready by then. maybe it’s just my country and culture, but you start likeing girls at about 10 – 12, start going to paries and stuff about 14 – 15, start having se about 16-18. you stop growing at 16 – 18 so your equipment is all set up by then. It’s not a big deal, only natural. It’s not peer pressure, it’s natural pressuer. it dosn’t mean that your going to be scarred for life, with deep emothional problems, infact it’s quite the opposite. And for people who talk about pregnacys, ever heard of a condom?? they give them away free… |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Making drugs illegal is silly -- but the war on drugs is simply reckless. I think that they are illegal because of the proven bad side affects to taking drugs. There are strories of people who have smoked so much bud in a liftime that they have orgotten how to read words. not to mention the cancer issues. The OP is obviously very responsible when it comes to drugs, as am I. I know when to stop, what drugs not to take, and when mybody needs a break. The troble is, not everyone is responsible. You’le have people who spend there savings on barrels of crack, just because they can legaly. Think, as soon as it would be annonced, everyone would be smashed, not going to work. It’s the irrisponisble people who spoil the legal drug therory, |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Should we leave these people alone? The way i see it, is that we can take the disease thing and mix it with the alien thing to present an easyer way to empathise with them. Let’s say that there were aliens watching us, and they offered knowledge we could’nt even dream about. Being curiouse animals, we accept. But then plages of unknown diesease spread across the globe. The aliens admit that they carried the diesease to earth, but since they have evolved with it, they are immune to it. When loved ones start dieing from the diesease, how would you feel? I think you’ed wish that the aliens had never showed up, no matter how advanced there techolodgy was. |

Topic: Off-topic / Talent - A fictional Novel Well a few months back a freind of mine decided to start writing a book, and it is now 3 chapters long. He hopes to get it published when it is finished. I’m trying to drum up a little publisity for it, so if you’ve got a few minuits try and read the first chapter or so. http://www.fictionpress.com/s/2520960/1/Talent Reviews and comments would be more apprecated if they were posted on the website, but there’s no problem posting them in this thread. Without giving too much away, they stroys protagonist is a street juggler named Talent, and his unvolentary excrusion into organiased crime. Read it for more details :).cheers. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Should we leave these people alone? This is just another version of globalisation. Which contry should get the privalige of greeting these people? If the Americans did it, they would probley adopt a modern american veiw of the world, and the same for every country. And I think that they are happy with ther way of life, even if it is hard. If we gave them technolodgy, would they have much of a choice to reject it? ignorance is bliss. It would probly divide the village in people who want to be part of the modern world, and people who don’t. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Why Pray? When i read this thread i am remined of this small story ‘There was a small village by the coast, and one day a storm hits the village. As the water level rises, a religiouse man prays that god save him from the flood. As the police knock on his door and askes him if he needs any help, he replys “No, I have prayed. God will save me. The water continues to rise untill it is 1 story high. A small boat floats by and people yell at the man through his window if he needs any help, but the man insits that God will save him. When the man is stood on the roof of his house, the water swelling around him, a helicopter hovers above him, and the rescuers plead with him he lets them save him. The man is again strong in his faith that God will save him, and dissmises the helicoper. As the water rises the man drowns in the rough current. When he gets to heaven, he yells at God for not saving him, But God smiles and replys “I sent the police, the boat and the helicopter, what more do you want?’ Know one expects God to reach down and pluch a fish from the water (reffering to previouse posters). But if you pray for a fish, You might find someone with the knoledge to teach you to fish. |

Topic: Off-topic / NEW Mods needed All the rooms need mods, and I heard it’s on kongs to-do list. Out of all the mods, about half of them are only on kong once a week – not really enoght time to be effective. Also i’ve seen some mods that sit in one room chatting to people, and when asked to do something, they would rather stay with there friends. |

Topic: Games / Flash Conquerors - cool RTS This isn’t fun, it’s a joke. You don’t need to upgrade shot speed, because if you click the mouse fast, you shoot fast. You can basicaly kill everything with just your main gun. The amounts of money you get is crazy, I don’t want to be doing sums like 78364758 – 395763 in my head during a game. the whole game was repetative, and boring. I can 10th i think in the high scores. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Being Emo: Fad or Attention Seeking? I have meet many self harmers, But it was a suprise to find out that they were doing it. They wern’t ashamed, nor did they try to cover it up. They just didnt mention it. I even meet a guy who put salt on his arm, and then pressed ice onto it. They all seemed normal people, not sad and depressed. There seemed to be no reason them to do it. When I asked a friend who had meet his parents,he said they were Friendly, affectionate and rather well off. Obviously this is only one person who claimed to be ‘emo’, but I have more things to be depressed over in my life :). To me, it’s just baffeling. Mistress – I understod what you were saying, but my post was more general then specific. (I took some of the wording out of your post because it made more sense) |
