Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / New Content

Edgbee, we are grateful for your continued support of the game.

I was wondering if you had considered adding a play-off bracket at the end of each tournament. Each tournament could finish 1-2 days earlier, and the top X towns would compete in a small single elimination bracket to determine that tournament’s winner, with prizes for the top X.

For example, the top 6 towns enter into a single elimination bracket, with towns 1 and 2 having first round byes.

Even if you are not ready to implement rewards, would it be possible to get recognition-based rewards in time for the next tournament? A new, simple building is added to every city, maybe a statue, that has the names of the top x towns last tournament.

There are 9 chests, and 9 random rewards. There will be one of each reward in a set of chests. If your goal is only one of the items, you simply reset all the chests as soon as you open the desired item. So if you want keys, you save up 1440 Krowns, and open up chests in the King’s Kounter. When you get keys, reset. Wait until you have 1440 again (in the event that it’s in the last chest). If you get the krown reward as the first chest, reset. Sometimes keys are the 2nd or 3rd last reward, and the last 2 might be ones that you want (Krowns or Hammers). In any case, reset chests whenever you feel like you got all the rewards you want.

To unlock recipes using keys, while in your shop during a game day, hit the Recipe icon in the bottom right. Recipes that are still under progress will shop the recipe it unlocks. Click on that, and it will tell you how many keys are required. The top end recipes usually cost ~20 Keys. Check the wiki to make sure it’s the one you want.

Even if you don’t use those rares in PvP, those are often the items that sell for the most. You can turn most rare resources into 2-4m.

Using rares in PvP is a great way to get ahead in the game. You get exp for sending customers to a Klash, and you also get Krowns, which can be exchanged for rare resources, and more importantly, Premium items. If you are a free to play player, Krowns are the only consistent source of Platinum Hammers, which can be used to upgrade to T4 resource bins, saving shop space and allowing more efficient shop layout. You can also save up for additional Grand Banners. Save up the amount of Krowns to open all 9 chests, then reset when you get the item(s) you want. With a bit of luck, sometimes you can unlock the item you want several times in a row in a few chests. Always reset if you get Krowns in the first chest.

You can also use your Krowns to unlock Keys, which can be used to unlock any recipe, allowing you to skip “wasting” rares. For example, the recipe that unlocks Dragon Plate takes 128 Rising Suns. Using keys to skip it would give you half a billion gold if you sold the Rising Suns instead.

When sending customers on quests, you should aim for 100% in the 2nd category. Use whatever combination of items to do so, but a strong cheap item for your level is Pendant of Ice Immunity. Golden Thread doesn’t turn into anything important, so feel free to use them for leveling and questing. Use Epic Defenders to level any Fighter, and there are a lot of cheap options for leather, just buy the cheapest.

Remember, this is a very slow game, with some things, like leveling customers to 21, taking years! So that small difference in Krowns per day will add up over time.

Some members of my town used their rares to unlock every recipe in the game, some just unlocked certain specific PVP recipes. Personally, I unlocked one recipe per rare resource, and I trade or buy the others.

I realize your game experience will differ from mine, since Leggitte is more PvP focused than most, but you should still consider unlocking the top tier rares, if only to sell them.

If your goal is pvp, ideally you would aim for one top end pvp item per rare resource. For example, for Shadow Essence, you should unlock Hell Sword or Warrior’s Omen.

You should pick the ones that sell for the most gold / rare resource used. For example, Ring of Conservation uses one Dragon Scale, and sells for 1.5-2m. Dragon Leather uses two Dragon Scales, and sells for 1.7-2m. That way, even if you need Dragon Leathers, you could sell Rings and buy them.

Dragon Scale = Ring of Conservation, Dragon Leather, Dragon Skull, Dragon Plate
Shadow Essence = Hell Sword, Warrior’s Omen
Rising Sun = Apocalypsion, Twilight
Roaring Powder = Gladiator’s Vambrace

If your goal is pve, then simply pick the ones that are the easiest to unlock that sell for the most. I’d just check World Trade as often as possible to get a sense of what sells for what.

Bash, that looks amazing. Very well done.

I’d like to donate some gold / items for your time. Contact me in-game.

I’d love to see an option to sort by descending gold cost for all items, rather than for each item type.

A best in slot option (best 3 items for that class) as a single click would also be nice.

Warrior 10 was never 3 Mithril Gears.

That was uploaded to the wiki before any of us got Warrior 9.

Topic: Swords & Potions 2 / Edgeebee, does the King celebrate Christmas?

Or does he expect us to fight over the holidays? Surely he can’t be that ruthless.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that would like a break from PvP wars on Christmas and New Years, maybe even the days before and after.

It isn’t a bug; the achievement was put in place before the last tier of upgrades was made available..

Looking for a town with castle.

I’m willing to contribute 1 million upon joining and 100-200k per day. I’ve played the entire game in a completely empty 230k town so I currently have a low contribution rank.

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [The Grinns Tale] Suggestion: Cosmetic Changes

One of the most important aspects of game play for many players is customization of cosmetic aspects.

The inclusion of the salon, and the introduction of many new hairstyles, was a great step forward in this direction. Unfortunately, the majority of helmets in this game are large, and cover most, if not all, of a Grinn’s head and facial features.

Suggestion: Introduce a toggle to hide or show helmets.

Along the same lines, the new costumes offer not only stat bonuses but alter the appearance of Grinns. However, for players who want the stat bonus, but do not like the look of the costume may still feel compelled to wear them for the edge in combat they provide.

Suggestion: Introduce a toggle to hide or show costumes.

You mean Berzerker?

The chest piece is actually worse than T5. The helm is a side grade from the t4.5 you get in Infinite. Only the weapon is better, and only just.

I hope the other t6 pieces are actually good. I’d like a knight set where he can actually attack unhasted.

18. Thrunk – 6 – Fire Plume

34. Finneas Fault

40. Grander Smoker – 4 – Old Mechanical Watch

41. Grander Ghost – 6 – Shiny Ruby

Just buy going off the Grander drops, I’d guess that they are the exact same as the regular bosses. This would make 42. Grander Crank – 6 – Diamond, – 7 – Shiny Ruby

I’d also like the option to remove heroes from my hero list.
