There’s another saying that goes “something is only worth what someone will pay for it.” If you can’t sell an ED (there are 466 on rising on WT at minimum price), you aren’t losing money by breaking it.

And now they sell like crazy. Not only are you impatient, but also dumb on top of that. Which makes me question how you got multiple 20’s in the first place, and how neither Arthur or Whitespell are part of them. And congrats on wasting plenty of 480k items.

Level progression is futile past 85, and to a certain extent, past 75, as its dungeon has the best income for its 2 more common loots.

“Any money you don’t make with a good is wasted money” makes perfect sense, if you read the exemple I listed above. If you want to hear about a rare that grants exp along with best value, I’d say Phoenix Flute says hi. 94k for ONE feather, AND being level 17 makes it so much better than its closest competitor, the Phoenix Baton.

A 400k item you break 90% of the time is a 360k waste no matter how you look at it. Sure it can help getting a bit more exp/hour by reaching a higher dungeon, but you’re trying to pretend that exp will not be available all the time, so it’s better to rush it and get the most of it before it’s too late, so that breaking valuable items is ok. It is not.

And oh, I’ve never used rares to craft items that I would sell to customers for exp. I’ve only unlocked the stuff I wanted, as most unlocks behind rare items are beaten in terms of value/rare by other, more easily unlocked items. You’re never going to convince anyone that spending 120 Rising Suns on Ancient Helmets (yielding 360k, maybe 390k each) to unlock Wrathful Face is worth it, when the same 120 Rising Suns can yield more than 1M each on multiple items; neither are you going to convince anyone that Wrathful face is a decent item for war, or even for sales exp, when the same rare gets you a Ring of Conservation worth 2½ times more gold.

And before you start with “there’s only so much money can do for you”, let me just retort that exp does even less past 85. All you get between 85 and 120 is an overly useless recipe that nobody in their right mind would ever craft for any reason whatsoever. Bragging rights? Yeah right, if it were a popular game like WoW or LoL, I could understand, but in S&P2, really?

So, in short, breaking any item is money you didn’t get selling it. Just because it’s not a problem to break it doesn’t mean the money wasn’t lost. You could have used those 60 T4 crafting other items, or unlocking other recipes if you’re still at it.

It’s still a 480k waste on level 16- customers, so even at 25% break chance the money lost is higher than a DI with 10% chance (not counting for the fact that DI’s price is skyrocketing in WT. Whoever said ED killed the game and PvP has made it reborn is a short-sighted fool). If there was a rare armor piece with a close value and a lower level, people would use that one any day over ED, the only thing is that there’s none, even for War Wizards (well, Invisibility Robe maybe) but it doesn’t change the fact it’s still lost money. And any money you don’t make with a good is wasted money, just like making a Fiery Partisan to sell it is a loss of profit over selling a Fire Dagger in WT.

Buying Defenders for 120k or Epics for 480k makes no difference, and the Defender is blocked behind a recipe that requires a rare. Also, as those lower level players unlock Defender, there is a high chance they have unlocked the Epic Defender through PvP and can craft it themselves, further lowering the supply of Defenders. So yes, there will be an increased demand, but no supply, which means Epic Defender will be the only thing worth buying.

And I’m totally against making the Epic Defender a lower level item, whether it’s for PvP or dungeons (who cares to break one since it doesn’t cost any rare resource), and if you lower the level of the item, you lower its EXP value on craft and sale.

Most players have made their own supply of defenders with the announcement of PvP fnally being released. I myself have crafted more than 700 Defenders during that period and am still burning through a bit more than 100 of those. I currently own more than 50% of the Epics at +20% in WT, and have sold handfuls here and there but I am not worried, as they will start selling faster and in larger quantities as players exhaust their supplies. It just takes some patience, the item is still new but in the next few weeks, demand will grow and supply will shrink.

Need to fix most of the item levels and values on the rare materials pages.

Also, need to add the PvP achievements so we know if there’s anything worth after the Epic Defender recipe. If the next rewards are just 1 divine leaf screw it, breaking so many items will just not be worth it.

I have played another card game here on Kong, and price for ONE top-card was about 800$. Some players buyed it every month. And free player have 0 chance against them.

I can play S&P2 completely free and don’t be cannon fodder for p2w(don’t know if city wars changed it). Some prices may see stupid, but you can buy almost all with in-game gold and use tokens only for reasonable things(like elite membership)

Because one game is more expensive than S&P2 doesn’t make S&P2 cheap, just like grey being lighter than black doesn’t make it white.

As much as I appreciate you Fleece, you gotta admit that 30€ for ONE level 1 card in Card Monsters is completely stupid, considering a single deck will hold 16 and the max level of a card is 5. Just convert that money into MtG packs and see how many cards you’ll get.

Also, remember the times where the last level of the castle alone was around the $12,000 mark? Just go to any other paying or freemium game and see all the wonderful stuff you’ll get with that much money.

Edgebee became overly greedy after their success with Swords and Potions 1, although 4k tokens for a single top tier upgrade was already completely stupid, but you had to be even more stupid to spend that many, at least the only cash-only upgrades (the pets, for those who remember) only cost 250 tokens each and were completely optional.

As bushrat said, if you don’t want to spend money, don’t. But that doesn’t change the fact that Edgebee is overpricing everything as they develop more games.

How about this?

We could make it so that you can only use one bonus per level difficulty, in order. (This means that, if you’re playing against the level 3 opponents, you’d only get the first 3 bonuses on the list)

Level 5: For each 5 levels you reach, up to level 50 (included), start your matches with an extra +1HP and +1ATK.

Level 10: Start with 3 extra energy, distributed as you will.

Level 15: For each 5 levels you reach, up to level 50 (included), start your matches with an extra +1DEF and +1 Regen (starts with +3 in each since you’re level 15)

Level 20: Start with an extra card of your choice in your hand.

Level 25: Opponent doesn’t gain energy at the end of its first turn.

Level 30: Choose a monster card in your deck. Start the game with that monster in play. (Possibly add a cost limitation to said monster, and ponder the use of Awesome Face)

Level 35: Opponent doesn’t draw a card at the beginning of its second turn.

Level 40: Start with 1 extra generator of each color.

Level 45: Opponent cannot play a card on its first and second turns.

Level 50: Start with 2 extra energy of each color.

You can block it with defense.

Slight necro’ing in here, but I just thought of a fun suggestion about Perma-monster:

- Destroy the current allied monster in play and gain its HP, attack and defense.
- ADDED FEATURE If there is no allied monster in play, Perma-Monster will affect the next monster played this round.

That way there is no reaction time advantage for the AI anymore, and you can still get rid of a Perma card if you want to make room in your hand without taking poison stacks. The only drawback is in the occasion you’d want to get rid of a Perma and then play a monster you don’t want to Perma. A solution would be to have Perma on a separate place on the board, and let us click it a second time to get rid of it so it won’t affect the next monster.

And somehow, I have to support crazye. He’s just saying that opening most of your posts with “I’m not a player nor a fan” is useless: just come straight to the point.
