come on man, do something about these droprates…
i got 2 scroll today from 220 stages.

i’m hearing people “averaging” 15-20 scrolls on a daily base. some even more.
since i started farming, i kept the numbers. averaging 5,8 scrolls a day. almost 6 :/
is it possible (yeah i know it sounds crazy, but at this point, i’m not sure anymore) that my account or ip-adress is somehow in a bad code or something? am i blacklisted and punished with low drop rates? WHAT?!? WHAT IS IT!?! THIS DRIVES ME CRAZY!. 2 F*CKING SCROLLS FROM 220 STAGES. :/

and don’t get me wrong Kuuplay, you can consider as whining,
but i just observe the daily trouble/complaints of the people in chat on a daily base, help where i can and advise new players,
just want to help around by pointing out things many people complain about.
this game has enormous potential and quite frankly i like the whole concept. not a new concept, but a great concept put in a “new jacket”.

How much would you increase the scrolls drop rate by? Does 50% increase (ex. you get 6 instead of 4 for 220 stages) make enough of a difference for you personally?

the amount of scrolls dropping, i can live with. low hells dropping less then high hells. i can live with that.
but if you do 220 stages,
and ONLY 3 stages drop? (1×4 and 2×1)?
that’s 1 in 73 stages.
now i already realized that’s a very bad streak.
but i had several of these.
I would say, in my farming experience :
that 1 in 40/50 (average taken over weeks) is pretty accurate.

now i don’t expect hells and elites to start raining purple scrolls so we can make a orange set every week. no that would be absurd.
but at this rate, people will be bored out of their mind and eventually exit the hardcore grinding.
the drop rates and rng scare people off.

and basically i came to another conclusion :

many of my purple scrolls actually come from blue cards.
A blue card cost 4.8k gold. You need 30 of them to dismantle into a purple scroll.
30 × 4.8k = 144k gold. Add 20k (cost of upgrading 30 blue to 1 purple).
166k gold for 1 purple scroll.
the majority of the top players do this. basically “miss out” (pay 166k gold) for 1 purple scroll.
maybe make RNG more bearable by introducing purple scrolls in store for gold? Lets say 200k?

something.
i don’t know.
just sucking stuff out of my thumb.
but for some people rng is getting unbearable (several already left).

ok so i was bored out of my mind (farming scrolls :/) so i calculated something :

Distance between San Jose (Gameguyz home?) and Beijing (China) is about 10.000 km.
If a pigeon flies about 70km/h (which is speed of pigeon in racing across moderate distance), i assume a pigeon’s speed is about 40km/h on long distance. Take in mind, the pigeon will die if it tries to fly the 10.000km in one go. So it has to rest and eat. Maybe even f*cking sleep, if it’s a sleepy lazy type of pigeon. So i calculated for a while, and i came up with an average speed of 20km/h (including eating/resting/sleeping).
So if you divide 10.000 km by 20km/h, you get 500 hours. Divide that by 24 : 20.8. Lets say 21. So it takes 21 days for the pigeon to fly from San Jose to Beijing. So for a something to happen, it takes 42 days before Gameguyz have answer.

And simple communication with this can take a while.
Imagine Gameguyz message :

“Hey, there is this person here claiming the drop rates of purple scrolls are terrible, can you do something about it?”
After 42 days : “No”
“But, it is terrible, many people complain about it.”
After 42 days : “Ok we will look it up”
“It’s been 42 days already man, better do something about it”
42 days pass : “Ok we have done fixed it, you can post in thread”

So it takes 126 days for this simple communication.
And the more they include, the heavier the load is for the pigeon and the more it will slow it down.

So yeah :/

i wouldn’t go as far as resetting him or banning him.
at best, move him to another server.
it’s not his fault he got into a server that got released somewhere earlier and just got released here.
Armorgames maybe.

It’s like a server getting released on Armorgames very early, and after a while gets released here and banning/resetting everyone who played it from Armorgames.
he should be removed to another server, that’s it.
and next time, Armorgames/Kong communication between Gameguyz (and/or Kuuplay) should be planned/handled better.

yes i have these streaks on a regular base.
after i made my first orange card (when the server got updated with higher global drop rates) i was expecting to see more scrolls.
but it just seems that whenever you “reach” a high goal, you end up in a bad streak.

i once got a red glove from hammer. the following days (like 4-5 days) i haven’t seen a green item spawn.
once tower 7 floor 49 dropped a legendary I scroll, the following days (2 days) i LITERALLY didn’t get a SINGLE purple scroll from over 200 stages of hell/elite.

the scroll part frustrates you. i don’t know at what stage of the game you are. but when you manual 100 hells and 200 elites on a daily base and not see a scroll, you get mad, crazy. today i’ve 1-10 hell : 100 stages and last 12 elites : 120 stages.
that’s 220 stages with possibly purple scroll drops.
outcome : 17 scrolls, 3×5 pack from hell and 2 randoms from elite. thats 5 stages out of 220 dropping scroll.
now tell me that this can’t frustrate someone?

see i keep bashing this, i keep repeating this. even kuuplay admitted.
A RNG-based looting system HAS to go hand in hand with some kind of trading.

i just meant that tip 1 and 3 were contradicting eachother.
you can’t tip someone “one super card” can solo the game early on. and afterwards say “don’t bother twinking”.
super card is basically a twink. twink is basically a low level toon with ultra items and forges.
i.e.: i see a chief “twink” solo’ing everything up to 50.

yes you can pour everything into 5 cards and as a matter of fact, you will desperately need resources to even actually upgrade 5 cards regularly.
usually you hit a brick wall once you make your first orange out of purple scrolls and start to farm hell/elite for a second orange or a 2* orange.
as if that isn’t enough, the multiple tens of millions of gold you need just to T/S your card and the thousands of fragments you need, the millions of gold you need just to get your cards to 90. the endless card rain you need to be able to xp your cards and so on…
at the end you need strong cards, very strong ones. you can’t waste resources and time on “having different heros that do different things”, since they will get once shot everywhere anyways. you need to focus on your 5 cards. pump everything in your 5 cards. in many months to come, i still don’t see anyone actually having a 5 man 2* orange team, unless you start to buy scrolls for 600 dollar each.

you have dodge buffs and dodge by items/forging. yet with all of them taken into account, i have yet to see my toons dodge occasionally in hell11+. verrryyyy rarely my S’ed Lost Sword dodges, veryyyy rarely that is.

I personally hate the Revive buff. but for personal reasons (read : because my LM doesn’t have it). It makes fights take longer then needed. It feels like my 5 cards are fighting a 25 card team. You beat it, but the opponent just likes to mess with you and make your fights take longer then 20 rounds. Ha :)
Same with a buff i have on my Witch Doctor : Group Reflex. If it procs, many hell stages go down in under 10 rounds, some even under 5 (hell 8), but sometimes Witch Doctor is like “naaah, i’m tired man, i’m not gonna put buff on” and makes those same stages take 10 rounds more.
we should definitely have a “skip” button. hell, i even would pay a set price for that option :/

No, don’t do that. It will end up with you having a bunch of cards that will rely on “babysitters” to beat Hell8+.
Do so research early on, look what skills/buffs cards have, think of combo’s, (like group defense + group reflex or bleed+confuse), think ahead and solely focus on 5 cards (endgame). At max, if you chasing ego’s, make an army of LS/PS solely for boss event to dish out top dmg. But apart from that, no.

Dodge is practically not in the game. At high lvl’s also.

If a team has to rely on revive —> wrong team
But on the other hand, there is no real “greater” substitution for LM buff.
Confuse can be very dangerous indeed, again, if it doesn’t proc, waste of buff. Like… any buff is a waste if it doesn’t proc, so like any buff can make or break battle, not just confuse and revive.

If this is too long, just skip to the end and read about my idea about RNG.

Since this is a multiplayer game, there should be more “multiplayer” about it. Other then watching your cards fight others cards, what do we have that categorize this as a multiplayer game? Scores and rankings? Mehh… There is only one aspect that directly involves other players : pvp. That’s it.
That’s the whole “multiplayer” aspect of this game. All others are just text. “Ooh look, i have a higher ranking then xxx in artifact ratings” or “look at rankings, i beat you in tower”. All numbers… No real interaction. Activities too, but that’s another topic worth, since we need more activities too.

Trading should be one of the changes i (and many others) would like to see.
It will help the whole community, both the elites and the newcomers.
Now, if i would introduce a friend to the game, who would like to start on S1, it will takes ages for that friend to even come close to my niveau. In reality, there is no way that friend can catch up against a person that plays on a daily base. That friend will always “follow”. UNLESS THAT FRIEND GETS LUCKY AND GETS FAVORED BY RNG AND WILL PASS YOU, WHICH WILL FRUSTRATE THE HARD WORKER EVEN MORE. (another reason why we need it)

BUT,
Trading can change this. Sure it sounds easy and first thing people think about is abuse. In what game doesn’t the system get abused?
Even games like WoW, Diablo everything gets abused. Whatever system you implement, there is always a way to abuse.
But the fact that there is no failsafe system, should not take away a system the majority would love to have and use as intended.
What comes to mind is abuse of the magic stone you get for free from the 7day gift. Sure create tons of accounts and pass them to your main.
How about unlocking aspects of trading at different level’s? Let’s say you can start buying at 40/50 and selling at 80? Sure this “CAN” get abused too, but for what purpose? Why would anyone try to have 2 high level accounts on 1 server? It doesn’t make much sense to me. A person would have to level to 80, to be able to pass stuff to his main… that will take ages, and as a matter of fact, would not make sense, to me at least.
How many people do you know that have leveled several account to 60-80, using referal code from main, to be able to powerlevel main with thousands of stamina? It will take enormous effort to “abuse” the system. And as a matter of fact, if someone desires to do it, sure as hell he deserves it, haha :)

Some kind of trading should be implemented.

In my years of playing (i started damn early and wasted more games then i can count), this is my interpretation of RNG :

It gets frustrating, the RNG. Sure RNG is part of multiplayer games, but when you go through ALL your hells/elites for days and days without getting one single purple scroll, while some other gets multiple scrolls on a daily base, it “feels” unfair. RNG really f*cked some major titles up. Path of Exile comes to mind. Thousands of people left the game after a season, some gave it two seasons… in general people avoid Path of Exile once they read about the game and it’s rng. Hence trading… Nobody in his sane mind would play Path of Exile if it didn’t had Trading. And to say Path of Exile (beside the desync issues) is one hell of a game. RNG made it frustrating, but at least Trading is allowing the hard workers to still get payed off.
Ok, totally different games, but the base idea is the same.

If you have such RNG implemented, it should (MUST) go hand in hand with trading.
RNG and Trading go together, one without the other and the system is bound to fail.
As this game has no trading, it’s bound to fail. Sooner or later, people just get sick of it and leave. The one sooner then the other, but it’s bound.

Myself for example, did ALL my hells/elites the past weeks on a daily base without skipping one day and i can say that i got around 14 purple scrolls in total. But while doing this, you read comments like “wow i got 25 scrolls today” or “hey, i just dropped two orange scrolls”. This frustrates you. RNG can be cruel and really make people just move out and find something else. But some kind of trading would solve this immediately and even make the game more popular and more friendly for new players.

I have 90 purple IV scrolls and desperately need V scrolls, which i didn’t even see for the past three weeks. But someone else has what i need and needs what i have extra. Why shouldn’t we able to trade it “because the system can be abused”? This should not be a reason.

So there you go,
RNG and Trading goes together, otherwise the game is bound to die out.

P.S.: This is a general idea. The level cap, the amount of items, the type of items and so on can all be worked out.

I can honestly say the 7 of you won’t be a big loss compared to the other 12 million game plays.

Just amazed at the nerve of some people.

nobody is saying we want this we want that… we just want to know what’s going on. that’s it. A while back, we used to get updated by the devs all the time. even when there was no update coming, we got to know what was/will be going on in the future. We were glad, we were satisfied.
now, we are just waiting in the dark. not knowing when the lights will switch on. that can be nerve-wrecking.
this simple game conquered thousands and thousands of players hearts. we even “invested” in it, while we actually didn’t needed it. Me for example spent 25 euro on the game, AFTER i completed the 2000’s challenge, just to show appreciation and sponsor the future of the game.
me and hundreds of others spent quite a buck on it.
that doesn’t put us in a place where we can DEMAND actions, no, but a bit complimentary actions should do.
just “let us know what’s going on”. That’s all.
for that, yes we ARE entiteled.
You remember what happend to those devs of games that just let the money flow in and after a while just gave up on everything?
yes, whatever game they put up, gets destroyed (R2Games anyone?).

then… don’t do micromanagement?
i mean, what’s the big deal anyways? i clicked the progress button a couple times to see what it was. sure, you can make much faster progress early in the game, but i can’t be bothered with it. i like the idle part of it. so there you go, just ignore that part and that’s about it.
very late in the game, it barely matters anyway. sure i can make a couple tretrigintillion more for a couple seconds, but what does it matter when all my stats are at multiple duotrigintillions. my bank makes 300 duotrigintillion each sec.
so yeah, doesn’t matter too much.
i still love the game.
why would you say “the game we once loved?”
Some people prefer to use it, some don’t.
You can completely ignore it and not get affected by it,
so i don’t see how it can bother you honestly :/
