This might be more of an idea for the next game than an update to this game, but I think it would be nice if there was some sort of system by which the player would be rewarded for specializing their inventory as opposed to having to make everything for everyone. This is how it works best in real life, too. Supermarkets tend to be something for everyone, but they don’t have the best for anyone. That’s basically how you have to play this game. It would be nice if you could choose to simply do potions for example and then people would only ask for potions (and perhaps whatever else your shopkeeper makes), and if your town community diversifies, you could have one person who is very good at blacksmithing, one person who is very good at woodworking, etc. And it might not have to be one of each, it could be two or three of each, and then a few who are supermarkets. This wouldn’t even hurt the communal resourcing because each category/worker needs multiple resources. it would, however, probably require that you don’t get into a town until you actually do things because my town is full of ghosts (guests and other players who have filled the town but do nothing). I do not know how this would work. One thing that would be helpful for this would be the option to hire multiple workers of the same kind.
My other idea is to be able to close your store for a few days so you can just work on stock. Maybe wouldn’t need if first idea is implemented. Maybe not for everyone. But I would like it.
