Well, it seems as if a certain Kongregate player is acting out the revenge of others.

ThunderPheonix1 – (Main Planet: 842,785) – Attacked my colony. A colony with absolutely no resources to gain. Spent over 200,000 minerals in the process just to attack me. Definitely not a random attack. He’ll be dying soon.
