Beh.

So for a really long time, visual art community at Kongregate has been organized with huge groups, like Reaper Graphix way back, Canopy Art a bit back, and Dragon Art all the way through.
So I was thinking.
This seems to limit the attention given to our art, albeit more specialized attention, from fellow artists.
Wouldn’t it be better if we do what virtually all other forums do, and post gallery threads, or threads for individual pieces?

I’ll keep this short, so you can read it :p

Yeah I agree with Wolfears, first one looks like a you trollin’ us.
Second, a lot better without text. Great render, good C4D’s, but the render does not blend in at all. Just looks like you made a background, pasted a C4D, pasted a stock, and added more C4D’s.

I don’t really like this tag… at all.
|I know you’ll probably be able to handle the C&C so yeeh.

The lighting is way to strong, and looks really fake – soft brushing never really looks great for lighting from what I’ve seen. It covers the focal and makes the tag look really empty; I’d remove it, and start dodging/burning instead.

The text is way to large, and steals the focal, which again might be because of the lighting, but it is too big anyway – although has really cool shapes with it.

The focal needs sharpening.

The effects are good, and the flow is nice, apart from the text, which throws the piece well off balance.

The background is boring, and there is too much negative space, try getting a few soft effects, like a space stock on the background?

The borders over-kill it.

I think you should try move your style back to stuff like this – that tag is insane :D

Sexy piece, this is more like it :D

Good focal, nice effects, all that jazz.

Try strengthening the lighting near the lightsource to make the focal a bit stronger, and also the piece more interesting and less flat. A few shadows could be stronger too. (In other words, more contrast throughout)

I really don’t like the black blur on the left side. Crop it or, or better, just remove the black.
Unsure if I like the text. It is a bit distracting, so I’d remove it.

The effects on this are really weak, and don’t really compliment your stock. The overall piece looks really messy. I don’t really like this one either, not a great illustration of your best work IMHO.

Yeah I know I whipped it up an hour before the deadline >:O

The back arm is pissing me off, but I hated the effects I had other it even more.

Effects and coloring are real nice there, as the lighting (which I’ve never figured out how you do it), but as stated before, the top right is weak. The effects there like the cutting off and splicing pixels together looks really bad.

If you hate the arm, do what I do. Smudge it to hell, cover it with C4D spam, or just erase it ;D
