Topic: Serious Discussion / Minimum age to use Google?
I decided to look up the ToS myself, and had some problems fixing it. You hae to go through the help process and information process. It’s definitely not a “clearly marked product”

Topic: Serious Discussion / God, the Bible, and religion - a Kong search for truth
That is really strange, because I just e-mailed my old Bible teacher a few minutes ago, and here was his response. Hey, I am not quite sure I understand all of the question, but I will try and do my best. The Bible is not a science text book, although it never contradicts science. When God inspired the writer of Genesis He did not want the writer to explain every detail… He simply wrote… “God created…” The Bible does not have to explain everything and doesn’t explain everything. The main purpose of the Bible is to explain 1. who God is. 2. The problem of sin 3. How to be made right with God. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / Purpose of life - why are we here? I never said that was the only reason, just saying that is the mos timportant thing we can do for our lives. Obviously, we are supposed to live for Christ.
Right, but he started getting off-topic a little and, frankly, I don’t want \another religious thread… |

We are here to worship God.
Heck if I know. I think we should have been hamsters.

Topic: Serious Discussion / God, the Bible, and religion - a Kong search for truth Seriously? 33%? Wowowow… And how did my post not make sense? I just meant to say that the obvious metaphors and meant to be tkane, well, metaphorically (such as a prophet “speaking to the mountains” and Jesus being the “bread of life”), and there are some things in question… But when the Bible speaks about an actual event, that’s when I really snap up and listen. |

Topic: Off-topic / "Christmas Shoes" Please Read Oh, man, I love that song! I didn’t listen to it there, but I’ve heared it played on the radio. It just reminds me how fortunate I am to not be in that situation, and to remember all the blessings God has given us and all those around us. You know, they made a movie about that. What a sad movie it is! You need to watch. NAO!!!!!! |

Topic: Serious Discussion / No God of Mine (faith) I don’t really know for sure; there are varied opinions on this. For example, the Bible says “God will punish the Gentiles when they sin, even though they never had God’s written law … Those who obey the law will be declared right in God’s sight.” Also, some passages say that they will be judged according to their works. This is not the judgement of heaven and hell, this is just further judgement for those who are in heaven, I believe. Plus, if you recall, one of the requirements for God to come back to Earth is that all the Earth must be reached. So, perhaps, after death, those who did not have a choice will be given the final choice? Perhaps they are reincarnated? I don’t know. I’m just tossing some things out there. |

Topic: Serious Discussion / No God of Mine (faith) Would my Bible notes from last year count?
How many times has this question been asked in these forums? Well near a thousand, probably. But I’ll answer it again. The point is so you can choose to accept Christ, thus not going to hell.
That’s what we were created for. Thus, this is the only way to have full satisfaction with our lives. |
