Pwnersaurus Rex (stupid name, great people!) is seeking players who are personable, fun, and can form complete sentences. Communication, activity level, and enthusiasm are favored over experience and arena victories, as long as you’re willing to work on your deck and let us help and teach you.

We are a top ten faction (as of Aug 26, 2011), so expect a fair number of wars and action, but also just good conversation in the chat room.

Please reply to this thread if you’re interested, and we’ll follow up with applicants who sound promising.

Hi Tyrant Players! P-Rex has about 3 open spots, maybe more depending on how retired we expect our retiree players to be and the applicants we hear back from.

PRex is a casual but competitive faction. That means we have no formal activity requirements but we expect that you have an up-to-date card pool. We don’t require WBs, and with shards that is hardly necessary anyway, but we have a lot of players that use them for individual cards, packs, or card collecting purposes.

In conquest, we have tried to make it exciting rather than let the map stagnate. That sometimes means we are a target more so than other factions but it’s not all about the FP. Right now we are retooling so we conquest less than we did at map reset and war a little more. However, we are constantly looking at how to keep conquest interesting. More active and competitive players will make it even more exciting!

Lastly, we strive for fair play. No bots, no alts in the faction, no spies in our peer factions, etc. We also expect a certain level of maturity from our players which is why cerealguy is no longer with us and we would never accept him back (jk CG!). This expectation is pretty lax, as is evident if you ever join us in Room 12 to chat. Come on by room 12 and get to know us.

Our application process is generally to whisper or PM kungfumonkeymike, myself, Golden119, or wushu624. They’ll check your fansite, ask you some questions, and probably invite you to Room 12 for others to verbally harass you. If we have openings and like you, we will invite you. If we have no openings, we will put you on our applicants list and assess activity to make room for you soon or in the near future.

I would like to emphasize that PRex is abiding with the truce. Our rationale is not because of any alliance status but because we got in trouble for reacting to others breaking this truce last time. God forbid we give any fodder to the trolls.

After reading this thread, I feel like this being drama is silly. This whole misunderstanding is inconsequential to the broaded picture. I hope anyone involved had fun. If this burdened anyone’s holiday, I am very sorry that this ruined the mood. Ask kungfumonkeymike to tell you some jokes. He is our jester leader.

I think this is simple enough for 000, PRex, and TiM to work out. It looks like forum trolls tried to turn this into drama more than anything. 0’0’0, feel free to /w our jester. I can help, too. Golden and wushu are fully briefed and I think Rets is free enough this holiday to act accordingly :).

Any tiles that needs to be returned should be given up and given enough time for the owner to re-conquer without ignoring their necessary invasions. This may require nearby factions calling truce but hopefully not because that is probably more complicated than needed.

If any factions disagree with PRex’ actions let us know. From what I have read (as a biased officer), we were defensive in a retaliatory manner. This often means responding prior to deciding the most rational long-term response and acting in the short-term. I have yet to decide what our correct course of action was and I bet I would have made a similar decision is presented with a similar scenario.

I need to talk with 000. After whispering all 11 0’0’0 officers on the Fansite, only one responded (just once) so I do not have their side of the story. I don’t want just the forum story. I never have trusted Tyrant forums.

Either way, I reiterate that this seems to be a non-issue in the longterm. I hope that this situation results in better understanding with 0’0’0. We love all factions and have greatly enjoyed this great battle with PRex against Bad Beat and 0’0’0. I hope to that PRex has a 2nd faction to even the odds in the near future! I bet it will be more fun.

I hope that when Bad Beat and 0’0’0 join our room in the future, they join to jest about movies, philosophy, science, and alcohol rather than trying to talk trash as has been the current trend! I’ve loved great conversations with our opponents. They often start the most interesting conversations! Chatting tyrant is usually boring :p

I still think your MoM sabotage was one of the most hilarious things that ever happened in this game. I remember when you first joined and surged like.. 2-20 or something ridiculous like that, and LDV and I kept passing responsibility to help you build a surge deck back and forth. I was going to mention the MoM sabotage, too. Pure sighaknight right there. It was amazing how much affect you had when you were interested in this game. Your team was the winning team. You just knew how and were efficient. However, I don’t think I could keep up with you in Vegas. I bet you could keep up with Plasma and I knocked a few back with him. Nirav is going to die.
