Topic: Kongregate / The death of Kongregate?

While chatrooms remain vulnerable to spammers and such, I still find plenty of opportunities for intelligible (and intelligent!) conversation.
As to the departure of “former regulars,” first, I don’t think that’s really the case, and second, there are lots of reasons for people to not remain active on an internet site…starting with, they may find other interests. So yeah, while I don’t like it when someone I’ve enjoyed yakking with moves on or away, I also see an influx of new folks all the time, and those new conversations are just as enjoyable.

The Kong community may be changing—just as it has since I joined in 2008—but I hardly see it as being on the decline.

Topic: Technical Support / Cannot join chat room

Hi, was away from the computer all of yesterday. Returned today, and am now able to join chat rooms. Interesting! Will keep the proxy settings in mind, though…thanks!

Topic: Technical Support / Cannot join chat room

Interesting: I can join the chat room with Internet Explorer, but not with MSN Explorer. Green plug, but stuck at “Joining Room.” Thoughts?

Hmm, I’m stuck at “Join”. Have tried various fixes per other posts, but so far, no luck. Any suggestions?

Topic: Technical Support / Not joining chat

Hi, I’m using my ancient creaky computer with MSN Explorer. :D

But amazingly, when I logged on this morning, after more than a week of being unable to join a chat room….I’m in! So I guess it’s a mystery. But thank you for responding to the inquiry anyway…I appreciate it!

Ditto for me. I’ve done the suggested reload routines, but am still frozen at “joining chat.” Would appreciate any help you can provide….thanks!

Topic: Technical Support / Kong Chat not working

Same for me: have not been able to join Kong Chat since sometime on Friday. Uninstalling/reinstalling the Flash player had no effect, and there have been no changes to the firewall at this end. Any suggestions would be welcomed…thanks!
