UMAG GUIDE : :)
So since the new influx of newbies has upset many players I hope this may help them…
All credits go to me and professional players that have kindly demonstrated how they do all of this.
I. Common Tips
III. Tricky uses of Weapons
V. About Rivalry
VI. Common Terms
BTW, if you have any comments, please post them below so I can edit it, and I request for a sticky if it turns out good. :)
I. COMMON RULES :
A. Never curse unless necessary
B. If one player solely has managed to reach an opponent to yellow hp, please do not kill steal.
C. Please do not team.
D. If guests or candystand players are there, please refrain from teaming on them, even though many guests may team on you.
E. Be a good sport and don’t flame or rant when you lose.
F. Encourage people to make good shots.
G. Even if they fail epically, say something nice like “Nice Try!!”
H. It might be nice to make a funny comment once in a while like when they completely miss a nuke " Nice Shot!!!" but don’t be harsh.
I. Don’t whine every game about how much you suck, or how much your place sucks, etc…
J. How to join a private match: /joingame (name of game) (number of players (max 6))
Ex.: /joingame gummywars 6
K. Don’t worry about your K/D it will improve as you play more.
L. 2 stars come at 291k exp.
Mirv: A weapon that fires 3 shots which are affected by wind severely, and are used in valleys because they bounce a little.
Impact Mirv: A weapon that fires around 5 shots, but do not bounce but are similar to the normal Mirv.
Auto Cannon: this weapon fires with great range, and is used to make a valley, and is not really affected by wind. Fires 6 shots
Heavy Mortar: A thing that shoots a big explosion.
Mortar: Surprisingly does more damage than the Heavy Mortar but smaller radius.
Nuke: Shoots up and creates and explosion that damages anyone in the horizontal vicinity.
Napalm Rain: Shoots a line of fireballs at its apex ( highest height ) and is normally used to finish off.
Smart Bomb: Fires and aims on to an enemy with 1 bullet.
Smart Mirv: Explodes when right above the target. and releases small bullets.
Shatter Mortar: Explodes on ground impact and releases and array of bullets around.
Bouncy Mirv: Bounces approx. 5 times, but stops on a direct hit on an opponent.
Digger Cone: Plows through the terrain in a small distance.
Dirt Bomb: Releases terrain at the apex or impact.
Jet Pack: Self explanatory….
Force Shield: shield but can be affected by napalm and EMP napalm
EMP napalm: At its apex, it releases an oval of bombs, which can accumulate tremendously if directly above the target.
Move: Self Explanatory….
III. USES OF WEAPONS
Mirv: try to make this land in a valley so every thing hits
Impact Mirv: shotgun: make the relasing of the bullets directly on the enemy so everything hits, and it is a 1 hit kill.
Small Mortar: make a direct hit
Auto Cannon: used to make a valley to Mirv or finish off, You want about a 50 degree angle for most of your auto cannon shots to hit, causing optimal damage.
Nuke: Aim up so it is next to them a second after the apex.
Napalm rain: finisher, Napalm does little to no damage against a tank that is on a steep slope.
The reason for this : assume each circle of fire is 1 pixel, on land, each circle will land since each pixel
is one also, but on a slope it will be around rt 2, which is about 1.414 times 1, so the circles are more
Bouncer: Aim beneath the enemy so it bounces under them for a maximum of 5 hits at 30 damage each, Bouncies can be used in valleys to cause 2-4 bounces worth of damage and can actually be pretty devastating.
Shatter Mortar: Aim beneath the enemy for maximum damage.
Smart Mirv. Aim so it explodes directly over the enemy for about 90 damage.
Smart Bombs do a corkscrew before going straight down. So shoot these as high as possible to avoid hitting any mountain slope and not causing maximum damage.
I thought this was self explanatory but apparently not: Also alot of beginners don’t realize the shield modifier in the weapon description. At least I didn’t. The damage of alot of weapons are modified against the shield or blue bar of health above the tank. For example a nuke with a shield modifier of 2.0 does twice as much damage to a shield. This makes it a very good opening shot. And a shatter mortar with a .5 modifier only does half the normal damage to the shield.
Digger Cone is not just for digging, it can be used as a close range weapon against tanks who try to ‘hug’ you.
Defense: Dirt bomb urself and then shield, but this normally pisses people off.
BTW : Move when you are in a valley or can be shotgunned.
Shotgun: try to shotgun if you are lower than the person
Nuke: only nuke horizontally though
All out: just I mirv
Zoning: after a shot, it should be pretty easy to calculate where to hit again if there is same amount of wind.
Wind: Wind multiplies the extra distance traveled by the amount of wind by the distance of the targets.
The farther away it is, aim less power.
Nuke+shatter: a very fast kill is to nuke someone and then shatter them
Reverse shot: if ur opponent is across the screen, try to hit the opposite side so it bounces off and hits them
Everyone knows Kongregates hate candies ( still mad at zworp ) because of the fact that we tested much more, but they got everything.
But please, refraim from resulting in unfair activities on candies. Zworp is ready to implement a ban system for this issue ( I still think more candies would get banned for cussing)
