Here’s a new silenced AKMS bug. Almost everytime you die while carrying it, this happens:

Your body is warped to the sky and dropped from there. This causes you to die for good – you can’t respawn anymore. Console cannot be opened, but you can quit the match and inspect the console from the main menu:

Same thing, this time on evac:

The console is showing the same errors:

This happens only with silenced AKMS equipped. Regular AKMS and other weapons are fine. Does not seem to be an issue with any particular server either, I also had this happen on other maps like lighthouse (TC) and bay5 (DM).

I got AK-12, which is way, way more than I expected of this event. Thanks!

Here’s the disappearing SVU-AS. I was unable to shoot until I switched to secondary weapon and back, making it reappear.

Edit: More evaporating weapon issues. The problem seems bigger than I thought. This time it’s Colt IAR.

2 more minor problems I’ve experienced:

- when you have a contract to make headshots/longshots, and you kill a VIP with headshot/longshot, that one will not count.

- when you’re throwing sonar/mortar, and you’re killed during the animation, sometimes it will not be activated, but it will disappear from your inventory anyway.

Leveling up above 59 makes you lose access to the only HC bay5 server (39-59) and the popular HC evac server (39-59). While lower cap (39) is a good thing (it might in fact be a little too low for the xp rates available there), I don’t see the reasoning behind the upper cap (59). While upper level caps work well in regular matches as a balance measure, they are completely pointless in hardcore where everyone has equal chances and the same set of skills.

Since all guns are unlocked at level 50, a level 50 player is as powerful as say, level 65. It does not make sense to lock levels 60+ out of it. Hardcore mode access used to be something you EARN as you progress, not something you LOSE as you make TOO MUCH progress. Please consider removing the upper caps in HC games, or at least give us some reasoning behind them.

So people want new maps, but there already exists a nice map that is pretty much unused, for two reasons:

1. Only available in level 59+ hardcore mode.
2. Only available in TDS mode.

The map in question is old_sawmill2, a revamped and souped up version of regular old_sawmill. Some people don’t even know it’s there.

Please make OLD_SAWMILL2 available in TE mode, both hardcore and non-hardcore. There are plenty of unused TDS servers that could be running this map instead.

1 That is supposed to happen. If you land then you would bend youur knees. That is sort of what it is happening there. That is realism.

2. I don’t know with this. I think it is awarded when im dead… I don’t realy know if that is supposed to happen.

3. I think it is your skills. Perhaps you don’t know how to throw a grenade for a for a great distance?

1. Bend knees? Realism? I don’t know where are you going with this, but it’s not what I’m talking about. It’s an obvious graphical glitch. I’ll try to get a screenshot if that happens again to clarify, but it’s pretty rare and I’m not sure how to trigger it.

2. If you don’t know about this, just don’t post a useless reply. You’re making a fool of yourself denying what has already been tested and confirmed.

3. You are wrong again. It’s insolent to assume that after 1600 grenade kills someone doesn’t know how to throw a grenade. Again, numerous people complain about grenades working differently and yet you’re the one to deny it for the sake of denial.

So please don’t litter threads with your worthless contributions. Anyway, to sum it up:

1. is a glitch that may need some visual proof
2. is confirmed
3. might/might not be just an awkward change of mechanics we have to get used to.

I’ve got 3 things.

1. Sometimes when you look through iron sights immediately after jumping/falling, the model will be placed off center and pointing in a completely different direction. You can still shoot and the bullets seem to fly forward despite gun pointing elsewhere.

2. Points for VIP kill assist are STILL not awarded when you’re dead. I don’t think it’s intentional – regular assist points, bonus points from sonar etc. are all awarded even when you’re dead. This is VERY annoying. You charge a freshly spawned VIP, do a lot of damage, but get killed and GET NOTHING, cause someone happened to finish him off with one bullet immediately after you died.

3. The already infamous grenade. Sometimes it just does not fly far, landing 2 meters in front of you and resulting in heavy damage/suicide.

I don’t think it’s right that buying some skills disables the ones you acquired earlier on. The obvious example: Heavy Weapon Specialist gives +15 reload speed to ‘heavy’ weapons (below 50 mobility). If you upgrade your mobilty through the scout tree, the previous +15 reload bonus no longer applies, because none of the weapons are considered ‘heavy’ anymore – simply because you spent your skillpoints on faster running. Even worse, further down the destroyer skill tree there is the Heavy Weapon Operator, which gives +15 mobility to heavy weapons, but also making them non-heavy at the same time, removing the +15 reload bonus you might have still had if you didn’t touch the scout skill tree at all. It’s quite a mess IMO.

Suggestion: Remove the questionable <50 mobility condition, put a “HEAVY” label on select weapons you simply consider ‘heavy’ and have the bonuses always apply to the select ones… OR simply take the base mobility value to determine whether the bonus should apply or not.

Simply put, buying more skills should never make you weaker in any way.

This is so true. With the map being deathmatch only and having room for just 6 people, even at full capacity you have 20% chance of your progress being denied with every kill. Try getting a streak here. Needless to say, the map is hardly ever full, and at average 3/6 capacity you have 50% chance of failing whatever task you were up to.

Topic: Contract Wars / REMOVE ANTI FARMING

It’s been said a hundred times already, but to sum it up: majority of farming would stop if the contracts weren’t so ridiculously impossible to complete. Worth noting is the fact that the tasks themselves aren’t very hard, but the (fake) difficulty comes from the absurd time limit put on them. THIS is driving players to farm. There is simply NOT ENOUGH TIME. You have one day for those 1000 kills or whatever it is you’re stuck on. The devs designed it that way and consistently fail to understand the harm it causes.

Instead of making a simple proposed fix (no progress reset, let us work on the contract at our own pace), they made the contracts even harder through random arbitrary task failure. Great.

Guess what. Players aren’t stupid. They can coordinate the farming session to get around the silly system. Regular, honest players, playing regular, uncoordinated games, can’t. All they can do is grit their teeth when they see yet another “Achievement not counted” message pop up and try again and again until their sanity is dangerously low. Good job.

In summary, why is everyone getting so worked up over farming? It exists. It’s not actually hurting the game in any way. There are plenty of servers without farmers, and there are plenty of players who don’t farm, as proven by this fourm. Get out there, join an empty room, wait for people to join, and PLAY!

Of course it does hurt the game. When players are facing a choice of either farming to keep developing your character, or sucking hard without the heaps of extra skillpoints, they simply quit. Some players just refuse to farm, because it’s not fun. Neither is losing all the time because of severe disadvantage. You don’t see them complaining on the forums, they simply give up and never come back.

Current contract system is heavily geared towards hardcore players who don’t mind playing 5-10 hours per day, but a large majority simply can’t afford to sacrifice a whole day doing such a thing. They’re locked out of completion of certain contracts, become comparatively weaker, get bored/frustrated and eventually quit. Once again, all because of unreasonable time limit on the contracts.

On the contrary, please note how farming W-Tasks is generally frowned upon. It’s because:
1. They are not essential in any way to progress
2. They have NO TIME LIMIT so you can work on them at your leisure, the progress on them is NEVER LOST, and many consider them their personal challenge and proving ground (those who don’t, completely miss the point, to be honest).
Should the contracts stop resetting every day, everyone would at least have a hope of completing them EVENTUALLY, giving them a distant goal. Right now it’s just “Meh, I don’t have enough time for the whole thing, it’s not even worth trying.” Needless to say, this is extremely discouraging.

You can decrease the xp rates all you want, make shoddy counter-farm measures that backfire hard on legit players and lead to even more farming, you may even try to ban, but it’s all just fighting the symptoms, not the cause. People only do the most reasonable thing available under current circumstances, which is trying to get around a severely anti-fun and obstructive design flaw. I only wish the devs would understand that.

Topic: Contract Wars / Farming

The main reason farming exists is the fact than half-finished contracts reset everyday, erasing your progress. When a contract requires you to, say, defuse a beacon 35 times, you have to do it all in one day or your efforts will be wasted. This is the type of contract that would be perfectly fine if you could just casually INCH your way towards its completion over the course of few days, but since you’re given unreasonably short timeframe for such time consuming task, you have to resort to farming or completely give up on the task.

There is this unreasonable sense of urgency that RUINS many contracts, that could be fun to complete legitimately otherwise. Since giving up on contracts makes you lose out on skill points, making you weaker and less competetive in comparision to people who do farm, farming is considered as a necessity in order to stay competitive.

Solution / tl;dr: Don’t reset progress on contracts, let us do them in a more reasonable timeframe.

Advice? I did not give any. It’s a thread about wasted WB / how people feel about their purchases. If you need advice, you’re looking in a wrong place.

Seeing how I would double my WBs if I was able to scrape up 60 of them, I decided to get elite before anything else. It happened around the time when blight came out (+25 WB for everyone), so at some point I had way over 100 of these. Excited about a new set, I bought 3 packs in a row and got:
- Destruction (useless action card, whenever I tried to use it, the Jam All never proced on anything)
- Impaler (meh, no comments)
- a second (!!!) Impaler
That was it for the Blight set, I’ll never buy this pack again. Then I bought Nexus and got uhhh…. BLIGHT Tower. Seriously, enough with the Blight already. From that point on I am buying only individual cards. Took me a few weeks to save up for Dracorex, and after a miserable Diesel encounter in one of the missions, I got that one too. It looked so powerful, regenerating over and over and over back to 3 hp, while madly shredding my deck with its flurry. But I got duped big time. It dies very quickly. It never regens when I use it. It never even flurries! I think my copy is broken or something. Art’s still cool though.
Oh, and I bought cluster ballista for the valor achievement (I know, as it turned out, you get it later anyway).
Looks like you’re always bound to waste at least some WBs, unless you know the game inside-out before completing it and are capable of restraining yourself from buying random packs, knowing exactly which cards you will need. Both are rather unlikely for majority of casual gamer population, so don’t worry – wasting WBs is part of the game.
