I would save them for a super draw box. It costs 1200 diamond promo, but it’s the most reliable. I don’t know about easter eggs. They might be good? Someone buy a few and tell us.

Topic: Ballistic / Melee Mastery or Swift blade?

I think at high levels, that there are 3 main ways to go.
1: Choose an SMG, as they are almost the best weapons in the game. In this case, you are just a highly maneuverable mid range assault class. I’d say you would be better than vanguard at close range, except if they use legacy ranger. If you are using SMG, why bother going all the way down? Get the 3rd skill point and leave it at that.

2: Choose MP, and get all the melee as well. In this case, you would choose Melee mastery, since after unloading a clip (20 on normal, if you use typhoon, then you should be able to get a kill.), you need the extra range. This range WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE, as you can knife people from pretty far, but that extra meter will sometimes make the difference. For example, marksman vs. shadow. In a gun fight, shadow loses every time. The key is surprise. If you can’t come from behind, then come from an angle. This way, you hopefully land at least 8-10 hits with MP, then a knife should take the last 80-100 hp. I personally use this, but I believe that SMG is again the most powerful method.

3:Katana shadows. Looking at this, I would only use this if you get the legendary or elite ninjaken. The speed bonus makes a difference. I actually think this is the hardest way to play. It’s not a handicap, per say, as you can do even better using this than the other 2 with proper play. You need to understand knife mechanics very well, you must be able to judge distances, and you need to know sight ranges for each, and also play around with your invis. It’s hard to see in certain areas, really obvious in others. As stated by others, flanking is KEY to this method. Here, it’s personal preference. Unless you are in a crowd, knifing 3 people in close range, the range is less necessary. I would probably take the swift blade to try to reduce damage taken, so you can finish that guy with a 2nd hit before he shoots you too many times in revenge.

Originally posted by Chilastra022:

I’m not really able to sympathize with you any on these matters, other than the mention of hackers (which i do agree with). SMGs aren’t the only lethal weapons that can ruin a person’s day in the hands of a skilled player, there is also the legacy hunter, as well as a few LMGs, assault rifles and sniper rifles that, when wielded properly by a skilled player will make anyone rage. SMG’s by themselves dealing out body shots aren’t very lethal (except for maelstrom, but that one is designed for bodyshotting in mind and thus has lower stats (either fire rate or accuracy, cant remember which)), its the players that have really good accuracy that you need to watch out for. But this is true in any FPS. Guns which boast high accuracy are naturally ideal weapons for players with great aim, and such players can be pretty indomitable regardless of what type of weapon it is.

What your seeing is a side effect of the recent changes to shadows, the nerfs incurred by katana wielding shadows is prompting them to change their tactics up, but because many of these players have only played shadows, thus making them the primary class they’re most intimate with, they’re instead switching over to SMG since Katanas are no longer as effective as they once were. (Really, when i see katana shadows, i think free kills, and they are). This is the primary reason why they’re so abundant in every match. That and there’s a lot to say about the improved mobility shadows have over other classes which is a pretty vital benefit in avoiding bullets.

Well…. the truth is, with the current system, high FIRERATE is the most powerful. The reason for legacy hunter and whisper’s power? Fast shots, but also with damage boost skills, and accuracy. If a skilled player (which I would like to consider myself) has good accuracy, he can use weapons WITHOUT high accuracy skills. This is directly opposite to what you said. If you can aim, you don’t need to have guns that shoot perfectly straight. You aim for center mass, and deal with recoil easily (as this game’s recoil is below reality’s). Headshot multipliers are also really high in this game, so fire rate is the most important. Secondly, machine pistols and LMG all have high headshot multipliers, so skilled players literally 3 shot. It’s not hacking, it’s learning curve.

Topic: Ballistic / Best Tank Build?

Since they took out the rate of fire skill, I would say that l. machine guns are much worse than assault rifles. I would get AR tree, with aggravate. Then, get hard headed, with either evasion or discipline, it depends. It used to be that evasion was a must, since grenades were so OP, but with the recent changes, discipline is a very good option. The last 5 skill points should go into the 3rd skill tree. Here, it also is personal preference. If you can get those streaks, unstoppable force is bar none the BEST skill in the game for getting to 10 skillstreak, though perhaps bloodlust comes in a close 2nd. 20% damage reduce is ridiculous, stacked with your other resistance, but ONLY if you can survive for 5 kills. If not, provoke is a perfectly good skill, if you consistently die at around <2.5 K/D. You simply MUST pick up second wind for the staying power.

In skill build ORDER, I would rush 2nd wind, take toughness for the early level advantage, then either rush down to aggravate, or finish hard headed, and THEN get the 1st skill tree.

I agree. Especially if you earn more than 300 points in a match, the points should increase proportionally to score, but I have seen the same rate for earning 100 points and 500 points.

Topic: Ballistic / Marksman skill tree

Hmm… that makes me think. Why bloodlust? Why not custom weapons, which gives plus fire rate, boosting your already insane fr through the roof? Bloodlust is only useful is you can get 3 kills. Which may or may not happen.

Topic: Ballistic / Ninja class HELP

He needs something more specific.
1. Decide now if you like melee. If you do, get the 2nd and 3rd skill trees. Go down the 3rd one first. Remember that the move speed bonuses are useless, and that move unnoticed is inferior to extra fire rate. Your choice between bloodlust and safe fall. Some people like jumping off things to ambush.
2. If you like shooting, save money to get the phantom submachine gun. In this case, get the 1st and 3rd skill trees. Just remember to NOT get the 5 point ms bonus at the end of the 1st, and instead get rate of fire. Remember. 1st skill tree, LEFT side.
3. As for gameplay, you go through a clip VERY quickly. The way the game works, guns are WAY more accurate than in reality. You’ll lose straight up gunfights with marksmen and berserkers. Go for the headshots, your fire rate makes it easy.

Topic: Ballistic / grenadier class sucks in every map

Kamikaze is probably bar none the best skill in the game, with last stand-Tank and Assassin-Shadow close behind. Grenadier is amazing in cramped corridors, and the other class, Shadow, that does well in these situations can no longer knife safely, or the kamikaze.

Topic: Dragons and Titans / do,not play

I actually have to disagree with you here, Darth. This game started with a more moderate balance, when I first started on facebook. But around the time where they changed the MOBA mode and then added 2 other modes, the game became much more money demanding. Not to say this game is all bad. It has potential, but the way it is now, the sheer mass of advertisements bog gameplay pleasure down.

Topic: Dragons and Titans / do,not play

After seeing the dev’s reply, I imagine that many players are now feeling that little remorseful pang. I sure do. As one of the said VORP players, it’s easy to see the noob-unfriendliness. It’s not even that the learning curve was that large. Simply because of game mechanics, an experienced player WILL get easy kills, and it’s not easy to “emulate” a veteran VORP player. The reason people loved VORP was because of the very un-P2W nature of the game, but profits MUST be made somehow, and without donations, no F2P multiplayer game will succeed. Compared to other Mobas, such as LoL and DotA, VORP is amazing considering the lack of funding. The other games also do not require any money, but many players do choose to spend money, simply because the marketing system is in place, and encourages purchases.

I, and many others, understand completely why this game was made. It’s true that it does not match up to VORP!, and probably never will, and it’s very obvious that money should be spent here. That said, this game is by no means “bad”. You devs have just spoiled kong with too much quality, and for free! Thank you for VORP!, and while I have limited money to actually support you (I am the formerly stated moral support), I really hope that the games you make give you enough funding to realize the potential that we all saw in your company through VORP. Good Luck! (and give us something like vorp back, when you can.)

30/45? No way! That would mean 2 bursts from a targetted AR takes out shields, and it takes 4-5. I would put the AR per shot at 15-20, and 30 for crit.

Topic: Freefall Tournament / July 2, 2013 Update Build Notes

What? But that only rewards the players that play the most. What about those with higher skill? Some pros won’t have a chance simply because they play much less than others. Also, was the Rail Gun changed for Gunner? It seems like the fall out of light after shooting is much less obvious now. If people don’t crouch, that makes it much harder to judge where snipers are shooting from. I think that might make the Rail Gun too powerful, tipping an already powerful weapon into overpowered with just that slight addition.

Assasin sucks, go for Scout! The only thing good about Assasin is that you can surf around the map kinda fast and troll people with the invisibility but when “Q” is on cooldown your pretty much dead and if you play with a decent Scout they will hunt you down like all the time so you will have to use the invisibility like 24/7…

The cooldown isn’t that long (after being invis for awhile anyways) and assassins in some scenarios can be faster than scouts, scouts have turbo but I haven’t seen many people able to control it to that degree (have you ever tried turning 90 degrees to chase someone while keeping momentum? freaking hard). Honestly I think blazers would be chasing after assassins more than scouts would, just because of their optics ability.

Yeah, and blazers would also shut down assasins. They can’t get close enough to use their blades, because flamethrower is so OP. Also, if they try to kite it, the heat ray will kill fast enough that the poison won’t even get 1/2 health.

ANT is the most flexible ship in the game. It has all it needs to do both Pvp and base killing, but what spower is only slightly mentioning is that with craws released, defending is much easier for teams. Backdooring has lost some of it’s power, and with high burst damage, ANT won’t stand a chance. While they ARE the 1st or 2nd best at turrets (Clanknor being its competition) they are no longer the monsters they used to be.
