So basically what Tukkun said is that he doesn’t consider Auto-Clicker to be cheating, as long as you don’t care about the leaderboards. i.e., use auto-clicker, you can’t submit high-scores.
Let this be known to anyone who calls the player of a single-player game a cheater for the way he chooses to play. NITE.

Nah, I’ve had auto-clicker with mouse recorder going on my puter for nearly two months now, and I am only lv. 5519, with no Ascensions… I’ve seen an increase in my electric bill though, which may determine rather I stick with the game.

I will certainly check out that link… But you say Lv. 9000 in 19 days, and you don’t want the average player using Auto-Clicker? How in the world can Lv. 9k be achieved in 19 days… Sorry, Tuk, I want to talk to you, which is why I am typing, but I am sitting here, dumb-founded….

I am nearly level 5050 after app. 2 months of play, and SpeedRun isn’t even available to me yet… My attention is seriously yours right now…

…Please don’t tell me that I missed a ‘pixel-hunt’.

Nooooooooooo.
I am tired too, but tell me a little more? 20 days? Seriously? I am very interested!
(And I agree with you. Board hacking is gay. But what can we do? Stop the gays from marching?)

My ultimate goal in this game is to see that completion screen again, but from my doing…
You must tell me, rather through Forum or PM… What am I missing???

You said yourself in other posts (not in this forum) that you can’t change leaderboards.

If that player edits his savefile (no idea how) to make the game quicker, how is that cheating? It’s a single player game.

Final freaking Fantasy games don’t take more than 6 weeks to complete, if you are compulsive.

Your game takes at least a year to complete.
(I seen another post that showed the completion screen.)

Warp Zone is not cheating, because that’s part of the game.

Eh, there is no hack for Mario Bros..

If you don’t care for leaderboards, I’ll disable highscore submission for you. This will allow you to freely cheat without having to worry about ruining the leaderboards.

That’s fine. I quit caring about leaderboards a couple of months after signing up with Kong (years ago). But you must admit: How in the hell do you ‘cheat’ when playing a single player game? Have you ever ‘cheated’ in Super Mario Bros.?
The idea of cheating in a single player game is absolutely ridiculous.

We used to repeatedly jump on the turtle shell on the block wall near the flag.
We would run on the top of the screen on world 1-2 to a ‘secret’ warp zone.

The whole idea of a single player game is for the player to get enertainment.
If I want to look for ‘secrets’ in the game, if I want to find ways to beat that boss that normally aren’t allowed, that’s what I am going to do. It’s for my enertainment.

Thank you Tukkun, for adding to MY enertainment.

Alright. Well, I play with auto-clicker, and mouse recorder. Mouse recorder allows me to pick up all drops in Battle Arena while I sleep, and auto clicker allows me to harvest trees.

I get to buy one extra garden plot a day, OR upgrade fishing.

That’s how I enjoy playing the game that you created. And, like I said, I played it for nearly two months now.

Delete my progress if you wish. That’s fine. I’ll find something else to do.

Leave my progress alone. That’s fine also. I’ll keep adding game plays each day.

Whatever you want, dude. It’s your game.

I understand that, Tuk. It would be great to be able to have your high-scores register for a game. What I meant though, is if I use an auto-clicker in the game, for my sole enjoyment, would that be okay in your opinion?
I don’t care about registering a high-score, because I feel all high-scores have been hacked in any flash game I play.
I just want to use the auto-clicker so that my computer doesn’t have to keep running for months to complete your insanely addictive game :)

Nope, I never said that. You must be thinking of someone else, or misinterpreted that post.

Alright, well, one last (two-part) question:

This game has been online for nearly three years. You said yourself that you cannot modify the leaderboards… Do you believe the leaderboards have not been hacked by newbie programmers already?

If I don’t give a crap about high scores, how can I possibly cheat in a single player game?

But you made a previous post that stated that the use of an Auto-Clicker was okay. You also suggested in that same post not to tell others that you are using an Auto-Clicker, unless you wanted to be hated. Something to that effect. Remember?

[Hey, look at that. We’re both comment editing heros.]

There are different ways I can do that. Based on your Kongregate name, or your stats in the game (which are obtainable through leaderboards), or many other complicated things. I would go into details, but it just feels like you don’t even read.

Nah, it’s cool. It’s like Mitt Romneys explanation of what he would do when he got into the White House. “It’s too complicated to explain to you.” I understand. Every person has there own gift.
While I have the ability to speak with you, will you clarify once and for all your opinion on the use of an Auto-Clicker? Is it cheating, or not?

False. I only need to add one line of code to the game.

How would that not effect the 1,000’s of other players?

It does not cost 2mil GC. It’s all free and you get 2 rep.

Tuk, go to your own game. In the Mystery Shop that you created. It cost 2mil Green coins for 100x Progress Boost.

the adventure gives you 2 free Reputation each time you choose to “buy” more (no GC is consumed)

If that is a part of the game, let it be known in part of the game.

Edit: I know you can’t delete my progress

Of course I can.

And you can’t legally.

P.S.
I don’t feel like editing my post. I feel like going to sleep. I will wait 15 mins. for your response, then log off.

Tukkun: It would feel like I’ve progressed a little in the game. I’ve been at the point for a few weeks where I just let the game idle, I buy a garden plot or upgrade fishing, then I let the game Idle again. It feels like I’m kind of in a rut now.

Buying 100% Progression Bar was no small task. It took a long time. I sort of expected something new from AA once I achieved that goal.

Plus, those 2mil GC can be used for 100x progress boost in the mystery shop.
Why would I waste that many GC for 2 rep, which can only give me BC, in the long run?

Edit: I know you can’t delete my progress, and I doubt that you would, even if you could. That said, I wanted to give you a bit of praise for the awesome work you’ve done.
I’ve been experimenting myself as a hobby with game creation, and I honestly have no idea how you could include so much into one flash game.

Thank you Tukken, for so formally pointing me to the top of the forums earlier. I sadly couldn’t express my appreciation until now, because Kong is apparantely ran in China… I was unable to speak for an hour.
Anyhow, my suggestion is to remove the Progress Bar Extension from Awesome Adventures, once the player has already obtained 100% PBE.
And as far as your threat, do whatever you feel neccessarry. Your game isn’t the begin-all, end-all of life. Delete my progress, if you have the desire too (more importantly, the power too). But remember, that’s one less person logging in multiple times a day, months on end. ((Also keep in mind that I really don’t care, because there is Xbox, PS3, and old-school NES.)

Okay, Aurian. I will explain my interpretation of what you said, since you don’t seem to understand. It isn’t very complicated, so just read this post twice if you have trouble understanding the linguistics:

Don’t

“… It “depends”: If it’s” (sic)

Your reply to that post:

Originally posted by Aurian:

It does not “depend”. Tukkun has been very clear from the start that he considers third party programs to be cheating.

My assumption: You view an auto-clicker as cheating.

I simplified everything as much as possible, so that you might see where I got my assumption of your ‘stance’ from. I’ll even save you the trouble of re-reading my posts, in case something suddenly clicked in your mind. Here is a summary of them:

1. I had one simple question: “Where can I find a post that I’ve seen before?”

2. I don’t care to see your internet muscles. Mine are just as big. I can say, “Idiot, Stupid, Retard, Dummy” just as much as you can. I choose not too.

Sooo, if you are up-to-date on things now, we can go back to the secondary question: How do you think it is possible to cheat in a single player game? Again, if you are still confused about something, re-read, or just simply…
shut-up.

Secondly, would you please explain why you ask a question when you don’t want the answer. I don’t enjoy wasting my time, and in my book, answering a question only to have person tell me the answer is wrong, is a waste of time.

You don’t need that much help thinking, your just being a smart-eleck again.

Secondly, my question was “Where can I find the statement I seen approving the use of an Auto-Clicker”. And yes, I want the answer to that question. As for your internet muscles, I don’t care too see them.
