agreed. but its a start. and poor idea, poor implementation aside…at least we tried something. that’s more than anyone else has done here other than whine and bitch about AAs for the last 5 months.
I applaud Maki’s determination and will work hard to emulate his balance moving forward.

you want to penalize me…for making my alliance weaker?
I have a question. how did players join your alliance? were NONE of them in other alliances? because if even one came from a different alliance, you should be penalized for making your alliance stronger. Jus sayin…

- you do NOT have to be an alliance leader to post here. Say for instance, you and a friend in Nightmares think goin to Grim is a cool
idea. post here and we will make something happen. Beware, the Grim you see today, is NOT the Grim of tomorrow. the object is
to make all alliances ~equal. you might leave #8 for #2 and number 8 might be #1 next week. and hopefully all ~top 10 alliances will see the number 1 spot at some point in the next few weeks/month. That is really the ultimate goal here.
Your “mid-level” decks will now decide the fates of alliance wins/losses. so hopefully anyone “moving up” plans on sticking around, grinding out some XP and continuing to contribute

this is never going to be perfect. and some people will not wish to participate and there may even be an alliance that is “#1 hungry” like we used to be and will use this to take first and then brag in chat about it all day. i don’t care. if pickers and grim lose a few solid decks and a cpl other alliances pick up a cpl strong decks and we at least have SOME semblance of fairness/fun, it will just be better all the way around. I’m not scared to lose. or be 2nd, or 7th. if we are having fun.
And if some alliance wants to become “all powerful” and start trolling us that are trying to have fun…well…that’s just a REALLY bad idea. ;)

Let me add, there are 9 decks in Grim that have been there for over 4 months. Is it going to be painful to drop 4-5 of them and face them in chat and have them be not so happy with me? yes. but it’s necessary. for 100 of us that spend way too much time…and way too much money here. and it’s long overdue.

As many of you have seen in chat, we have decided to stop asking edge for a fix to “boring” AAs and implement something ourselves. Lama had suggested this multiple time in the past, but i do not think certain alliance leaders could get away from “flank flank flank!” and “gotta be #1 at all costs”. From responses I have seen so far, many people are on board with this and I’d like to not talk about it for weeks and do nothing. I say we come up with something, make some changes and see what happens. if we have to adjust fire, we can do so.
Here’s the basic idea. we shuffle some deck around to make the top 10 alliances or so viable to attack each other and win. its NEVER going to be perfect, but there will be no clear cut #1 AND all “top” alliances will be substantially weaker, which will allow even more alliances to break into the top 10ish and participate. it seems win/win to me except for the 1% of players who cant think about anything other than being #1.
maki’s suggestion was each alliance leader stays and pick 2 “core” alliance members that define their alliance…everybody else is fair game to be moved.
My next suggestion was lower alliance picks who they want and who they will give and alliance leaders simply make it happen. we all wake up tomorrow where we are and start fighting. no hard feelings…noone got kicked into a “weaker” alliance…all alliances are ~equal
I personally would go anywhere if we are all going to end up even and fight each other everyday instead of attacking some #28 alliance and going 176-0.
Open to suggestions. My only wish is that we make this happen. NOW. not a month from now. we all say repeatedly that it takes edge forever to make a switch and blah blah, so lets not be hypocrites. let’s agree on something, do it and make some changes/have some fun

you are not fully understanding how duels are chosen. NOONE. Not 1 single other player in all of elite….can possibly get my deck in a duel the way the RNG generates duel opponents. So i’m giving the top 5 decks a pass.
Conversely, if i post the absolute nastiest deck i can muster…i’m absolutely screwing the top 5 decks and once again…ALL of elite gets a pass, because they never have to see my deck.
basically, i’m sick of all of elite getting a pass, i’d rather give it to the top 5 :)

done deal. i posted 2 lost explorers and a dust maiden as my def deck. since justanewhand and sword are forced to see my deck 5 times a day and ONLY they see my deck. they should start popping high on the board everyday. if they do the same, i’ll be up there as well.
bet this gets fixed in a week now. i shoulda done it months ago. and if it doesnt, that’s fine too. i’ll smile as every1 else bitches about the same 3 on the leaderboard everyday. win/win for me. i’ve asked nicely SO many times…

you forgot;
Wildwest – The lower ranked alliance gets xtra crystals at the start of their duels. The lower ranked you are, the more crystals you get. imho, giving a lower ranked alliance with lower level decks 10 more assaults to lose will just frustrate them more. xtra crystals at the start of their turns is an exciting chance to perhaps beat a higher lvl deck.
I also give a +1 to Saw81’s idea. a great way to make lower level decks MATTER when it comes to AAs. And things would be ALOT closer and more interesting.

and remember the second part of my message… “NOONE else will complain about this until they are stuck playing the same 5 people”. Give wolfcub41 another month to bring his ass up to the top 5 and see if he isn’t on here bitchin up a storm…
I just dont get it. These are LEAGUES. if i’m in a bowling LEAGUE, i play everyone. i dont play only the 4 teams near me at the bottom of the league and then 16 other teams from the 14-and-under league down the street. HOW is that fair to the top 10 teams in the league when the only measure that matters in win/loss??? it’s better off to be at the bottom.
on a side note, i can see where the devs have worked their asses off on Expansion 3 and i love 95% of it…so i’m not trying to nitpick.
What’s bugging me is this was like a ONE DAY fix in the past, to change how the AI picks daily duel opponents. so really, how hard could it be to make it “any random opponent in your league”. my deck is in no way “better” than 90% of the other decks in elite.
if you’ve made it to elite, you’ve got a great deck. I’d love to see it! but i can’t. i only see TWO decks everyday. Pfuel and Justanewhand. i see them for 8 of my 12 fights. and the other 12 are total low level decks from like tin league.

Expansion #3 has arrived
Lots of great stuff. Too bad i can’t play it. Had to refresh for every duel as it would stick on loading, now it just totally stuck on loading no matter if i refresh over and over.
edit switched to google chrome and now all is well. no idea why suddenly the load time was so long.

Has it already been suggested for a “last online” next to names in Clan list? With 50 members, it’s difficult to figure out who hasn’t played in a week/quit so they can be removed, in order to make room for active players looking to be in a clan.

as a judgement user AND someone that is always looking for an innovative deck to play….i agree with anything that nerfs judgement a bit and makes the game fun again. only viable deck right now is low cost speed deck. Zero point in making a “tank” deck.

add cleave. this card then becomes useable in many, many different ways especially since the game is lacking in useable cleave cards.

Are we the ONLY two that this is happening to?? Tonight i fought Operacija 3 times, bladejay 3 times, justanewhand 3 times, pfuel 3 times, swordbloodfxs twice. FOURTEEN of my duels were against the SAME FIVE DECKS i have fought everyday for the last 6 weeks running. every day. please…im begging you…change SOMETHING.

This is for Elite, I am unsure how the other leagues look/feel. About 6 weeks ago, some people in elite complained about the lack of opponents/playing same decks everyday. This was true as there were only 5-6 decks in elite. A fix was implemented to give elite players more variety. That fix is now outdated. With many decks in elite now, why not switch to a straight up “any elite deck” random generator? everyone in elite could play any other elite deck. there are plenty of decks for variety now.
My reasons for this are;
-currenlty everyone in elite plays 10 duels against “not worthy” opponents. the “deck strength” calculator is broken. I play at least 10-12 decks every day that are not near “elite level”
-when the program picks an elite deck, it picks a deck within 2 or 3 of your position. of the 8 decks left for me to play 3 or the deck directly above me and 5 are the 3 decks directly below me. This brings about two negative factors;
- Once again, variety suffers, when there is no reason for it. plenty of elite decks now.
- the deck in slot 4 must always play decks 2,3,5 and 6 while the deck that just moved into elite plays deck 34,36,37. this is unfair. elite is elite. imho, when you make it to elite, you should be forced to play every elite deck, not the bottom 3 in the league.
Just asking for an update due to the current number of decks in elite. thanks again for the original tweak, as it was appropriate with only 5 decks in elite many weeks ago.

Closed Deck Tournament Concept
I have a solution. fix Murky swamp. its already there…but noone plays it. its certainly challenging to even the top decks, but its just not worth it. the marginal gem/XP increase over NS makes it not worth the time. And even if i wanted to spend the time, i cant collect the kills because there’s no way i can get that many unless i play 24 hours straight and noone in any alliance wants to ever help with anyone elses swarm now since rewards are so great for just doing your own.

^^ As much as i hate to agree with blaaaze…AI is currently struggling. it will now play 2 bare cards as opposed to playing armor on anything. ever. i’ve gone an entire duel without the AI playing one equip or armor. too easy now. was harder before.
