The color of the gear does not matter (you can use gold gear if you like) but the level if the item must not be over 23. Unfortunately, this means the only honored weapon you can use is Duck Massacre (Level 23 Shotgun).

It was the only gear i was looking at using i wasn’t sure i could ;D What can I say…I really really don’t like ducks!

Gonna make a few assumptions here.

By “like tron but with snakes”, you’re talking about something like Surround or Blockade, which is where the Light Cycles in Tron came from. Assumption 2 is that you’re talking about a bootleg ‘32 in 1!!!’ sort of multicart.

So it’s probably Serpent. Now, a quick Google search turns up a 105 in 1 cart with both Serpent and Hyper Lode Runner listed. The above link also mentions the game is on a 32 game multicart. Story checks out.

your second assumption is right, I’m pretty sure it was serpent i was thinking of, i remember the whole “looping to get items” thingy and the whole “trap your opponent rather than making his head hit something” ….aah the memories…of watching two trapped snakes caught in a loop, seeing who’s head would explode first :’)

my game i want to find out is an old game boy advanced/colour game that i remember playing in a multicart years ago. it was sort of like tron, but you were snakes or something like that? it was in the same multicart as ‘loadrunner’, if i remember correctly.

hmms, you were right, the .as file wasn’t being compiled with the rest of my game, so it wasn’t linked. do you know how i’d go about linking them? haha

EDIT: nvm, i managed to figure out the blatantly obvious way to link them, thanks for the help though xD

because a lot of the variable’s ive assigned are for that specific instance of the Ship movieclip, which i’ve only used one copy of throughout, so it really doesn’t matter what it’s called as long as my other code can target that instance on the main timeline. and i used numbers because i intend to have multiple instances of the same movie clip which all use the same properties. and yes, i’ve tried renaming my instance to be without numbers ;)

i figure i am missing something quite obvious, but i can’t for the life of me figure out what it is.

i have two movie clips, one with name “Ship”, instance name of “SHIP”, identifier as “Ship” and an as2 class file called “Ship.as” that extends the “Ship” class. this class file and associated movieclip works fine, but for some reason my second movie clip isnt being linked to it’s class file. the second movie clip name is RPG, instance name of RPG1, identifier as “RPG” and the as2 class file called RPG which extends RPG movieclip. i’ve put a trace function on the RPG class file to output a variable i’ve written on an onLoad function, which works fine on my Ship class file, but it douesn’t output it when the RPG movieclip loads. so yeah, any help? i’m stumped, haha

i just tried to define the pause screen and it still doesn’t remove the box i am making, no error messages or anything else. and janova, how would i go about doing that? i done a quick search and i found out that i could trace the instance name of the box that gets added, but targeting that name (which was “Pausescreen0”) in the remove movie clip code doesn’t remove it anyways. odd

edit: i meddled with the code a bit and this code removed the box but only the first one made

the “0” at the end of “pausescreen” is the first instance made, and that is the name it gets only when there is no other movie clips on the stage. for how many movie clips there are (that dont share the name) that number gets added each time. so if there’s one other movie clip, the number goes 1,2,3 etc. if a second movie clip gets added it goes 2,4,6 etc. anyways, is there a code or value that means “any integer” so whatever number is in it’s place, it gets removed? (sort of like “Pausescreen#”, but hashtags don’t signify that)

hey, eerm, i seem to be having a bit of trouble getting a particular movie clip to either go away when i dynamically add it, or stay on top of all other dynamically added movie clips if i add it directly to the stage myself. im not sure if it’s even possible to have those movie clips on a higher depth than dynamically added ones, so i’m betting i need to find out how to delete a movie clip i’ve added. maybe if i post my code, it will be easier to understand.

i’ve coded it so once i hit a button, i call the pause function and everything stops and a gray box appears over everything. i already know the pause function is being called, the box appears, etc. the problem comes in the next few lines of code…

that’s just one of the ways i’ve tried to do it, i’ve tried putting “this.removeMovieClip” and putting the instance name in the brackets, etc.

any help would be appreciated, as i know i’m just missing something crucial like i need to create a new empty movie file and delete that or something ;/

Topic: Technical Support / Lost all game progress

i’ve actually been having this exact problem for a while but i assumed it was a local issue, so i’ll explain as much as i can plus a TEMPORARY FIX i use, which is also sort of annoying.

Web browser is firefox 9.0.1 (i refuse to update because better kong isnt compatible with latest update)
Operating system is XP service pack 3
Adobe flash version 11,1,102,55 (apparently my chrome is using an older version, how odd)
and i dont go on kong on any other browsers.

i do have Ccleaner but i only use the registry defrag function on it, i also have Iobit advanced system care but i’ve specifically told it NOT to delete temp files and junk files (not that i run it that often anyway) and before you ask, my firefox is set to save cookies. i also left my computer on gemcraft chapter 0 after i played it a little and when i got back, it had an error message that said i couldn’t save my game?

the temporary fix i use which can be helpful to other people is i manually save my game files. for those that don’t know, open the run box and type “%appdata&” without quotes then go to >macromedia>flash player>#sharedobjects and your save files are the folders with random numbers and letters as the folder name (if you go in them, you can probably figure out what game they belong to)

im getting sick of manually saving my game so any help would be appreciated

EDIT: was just playing kingdom rush (getting back to what i had before saves got deleted) and whilst copying my save file, i noticed that after i closed down chrome (ff was running kingdom rush) and quit skype that my save disappeared from my #sharedobjects folder. i respeced my ability tree in the game and it came back, but it was still weird how it just disappeared?

i just found out about this game, and i was blown away at how awesome it is. although it can be hard against skilled players, lol, it is pretty epic. lolol, aircraft carrier on a dinosaur? wtf? hilarious and random. but again, not enough players. they should advertise this game or something.
